I purchased a vehicle from Bristol Street Motors Kings Norton on 28/04/2023. I tried to do as much research as possible into the car and was told that the car had been thoroughly checked and assessed and was “good to go”. I was also told that this included four new tyres following an “advisory” on the latest MOT “we do not let vehicles leave when they have outstanding advisories”. The first “flag” was during the final sales process when a “manager” called Mark came over to talk about the extended warranty. I politely declined and was told by Mark that “if I can’t afford £700 for a warranty should I be buying a car”. I awkwardly laughed this off and didn’t think much about it until later on in the day. I was also advised that they had taxed the car incorrectly and that I had paid for six months car tax but they actually had put 12 months on the car. They said “this is on us, our mistake” so a small win, or so I thought. Upon collecting the vehicle, it was filthy inside and within a few hours of leaving with the vehicle, it started juddering and shaking when accelerating or traveling above 60mph. The next day (Saturday) I emailed the Sales Advisor who got the vehicle booked in on the following Tuesday. Upon receiving the car in the workshop, they sent me a courtesy “health check” video of the car which outlined some minor issues one of which was “cracking of all four tyres” which was highlighted on the previous MOT as “advisory”. Quite clearly showing that in fact no new tyres had been put on the vehicle and can only assume at this point no checks had been done either. Following a series of broken promises and no call backs I was advised by the workshop that the engine would need to be rebuilt as they could not find the source of the problem. At this point I felt it only right to cut my losses and return the car under the 14-day return (less than a week after purchase). After a few emails and phone calls I eventually got most of the money back (which took 3 weeks) minus £165 for car tax (despite actually only paying for 6 months) which is waiting process from the DVLA. In short, three weeks later, I spoke to DVLA to chase to be advised they had no record of me ever having owned the car and that the car was still registered with the dealer. The same dealer who assured me that it had been registered electronically weeks earlier. I am still out of pocket to the tune of £165 whilst the DVLA investigate. As it stands I am still awaiting the £165 from the DVLA and have spent the last three weeks without a car without as much as a single apology. I have also contacted head office who took details but so far heard nothing back regarding this. My advice is to stay well clear of this company as once they have your money they really don’t care. They tell you what you want to hear and then make up stories in the hope that you will go away. I have used this garage for servicing for nearly 15 years and they have certainly lost myself and my family as customers. I won’t be touching any form of Bristol Street Motors and suggest that you do the same.

I would never recommend anyone to buy a car from here my daughter bought her first car a fiesta from here in 2018 when she tried to sell it in 2021 was told it was a stolen car and nobody would touch it...after a lot of twoing and froing they wouldn't take it back eventually they more or less admitted sometimes cars slip through the net...make sure any car you buy gets checked!!!@@@

I recently bought a Ford Kuga from Bristol Street Motors. This is the second car I have purchased from them. They are really nice and very helpful. At first I thought the car was a little overpriced but they showed me all the extras of this vehicle and now I think it was worth it. I would recommend this dealership.

Bought a car from this Bristol Street branch in Birmingham back in May. This is just a quick review to say that I'm happy with the vehicle and the service was sound, I had a trainee salesman who obviously wasn't quite as knowledgeable as I would have preferred, couple of bits missed with the paperwork as a result but everything was sorted in the end.
