Worst experience ever buying a car from BroadTower Automotive and 100% unrecommend. Honestly just avoid like the plague, you'll get a pile of unreliable junk and be £100's out of pocket like I am.

They are lairs, don't buy from BroadTower Automotive! NEVER!!!!!
I recently purchased a Land Rover Range Rover at BroadTower Automotive in Epping on August 11, 2018. This car dealer promised to pass the MOT test before I purchased the car. According to the sales rep at BroadTower, the MOT test was passed by Key Garage and the car was in good and safe condition. I have significant concerns about the quality of the MOT examination that was performed and in fact believe the examination was performed in a criminally negligent manner. Within two months of this test, I had to replace all four brake pads – nothing was noted in the MOT report. More concerning is the fact that the brake fluid pipe burst due to excessive rusting and this rendered the brakes inoperable. Luckily, this happened while the car was at rest. Had I been traveling on a highway with my children, this could have been a devastating event. As you will see from the attached pictures, it is clear that the fluid pipe was severely rusted and in need of repair, especially considering the potential consequences of brake failure. I had faith that a government-appointed agent would provide me with peace of mind that my vehicle was safe to drive. What seems to have happened here is that Key Garage was more concerned with helping BroadTower sell a vehicle than they were with the safety of the future operator. I find this to be unacceptable and contrary to the public interest. Following the brake failure, we had the car repaired by another MOT certified mechanic. In his opinion, it was unbelievable that none of this was cited in the MOT report. In his professional opinion, this issue was clearly visible and failure to identify this issue put me and my family at great risk. His recommendation was that we should bring legal action against BroadTower and Key Garage. I also brought the 3-month Comfort Warranty Coverage. I called Ben to schedule a repair. He has never arranged the appointment. I am requesting that you investigate this event and hold Key Garage accountable for its negligence.

Bought vehicle from Tyrone at BroadTower Automotive in April 2018. Filthy all over on the inside! Was advertised with satnav, but there was no satnav to be used. He also missold the finance to both my husband and I as 8% - just to find out the APR was in fact 15.7%! We arranged finance through a different company & told them to refund the money to Motonovo (their finance company they use) so we can pay via our new company, but he refused. They get massive kickbacks from the finance company - so be VERY aware of what you sign for with them! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY! They agreed to refund the money at first - but then became abusive over the phone & also threatened me with regards to my previous review left against their company. They insisted I remove it otherwise they will not co-operate. Needless to say I did so - but they have not come to the table. We returned the vehicle & cancelled our finance within the 14 days. Now they are threatening us with charges for each day the vehicle is left on their premises - despite the vehicle not being on our name anymore, but on theirs. I have now reported them to the ICO as they have not provided my data as requested. They apparently posted it, but the address was incorrect! Been waiting a month for them to resend. Have opened a case with the ombudsman against them as well as their finance company they use. Next stop court.

Tom from BroadTower Automotive in response to Avoid at ALL cost!! Untrustworthy!!!
unlucky in court 😎
I bought Ford Smax from them last Friday and I was not told the truth when I asked if all is OK with the Car. The car is Ford Smax registration number :OV08SXC. I was unfairly treated. The car has problem with the Air condition and as a result it is not working. I paid to refill the gas and they diagnosed problem with the pipes. Moreover no spare tyre, no spanner, no key spanner to remove the alloy wheels, no jack, no cover for the windscreen water/washer tank. Moreover the car is dirty inside. Instead I was told all is well with the car. I have contacted BroadTower Automotive and waiting to hear from them.
very professional from start to finish. they have some wonderful stock of cars
Sold me a car with an engine fault And will not take responsibility at all. Avoid buying from Broadtower Automotive at all costs.
Having seen a car I wished to buy online from BroadTower Automotive (trading as WBOC) initial communication went well although it was difficult to elicit specific information from Tyrone. around missing service history, maintenance receipts and details of any warranty. Despite these preliminary concerns I proceeded with the transaction having confirmed a price Inc. delivery by a transport company arranged by them, I did not travel 150 miles each way to see the vehicle (I wish I had in hindsight). Once payment was made communication with Tyrone. became more distance despite my efforts, obviously a bad sign. A week later than initially planned a delivery date was confirmed and then communication essentially stopped. The day of delivery and after prompting (again) I was told ‘the transport company’ will be in touch. They did not contact me, the vehicle just turned up, driven up, not on a flatbed as intimated. It turned up by what I later found out was a member of the firm’s staff (trading as WBOC), it was filthy both inside and out, had 0 miles left in the tank (thanks a bunch! What good customer service) and numerous issues which later came to light after further inspection Inc. missing wheel nut, missing jack and brace, nearly bald tyres (x2), paint lifting off bodywork, defective horn (how did it pass an MOT?), missing handbook, only one key, broken CD autochanger among other issues. I refused the car under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (new replacement for distance selling regulations) and despite offering to cover return transport costs the company refused to do anything, in fact Tyrone only said, ‘don’t shoot the messenger, I’m only an employee’. The owner and MD Thomas Delgado responded through Tyrone stating he was not willing to do anything, he believes he has done nothing wrong and finished by stating I should have viewed the vehicle. The last point has some merit although why is BroadTower Automotive prepared to sell to customers who do not view vehicles who then by default must adhere to the Consumer Contracts Regulations. I now have to either fight via a solicitor to return the vehicle and claim a refund or keep the vehicle. Their warranty is an in-house one covering only the gearbox and engine though there is no document only a few words noted on the sales invoice. Thomas Delgado has a sister company amongst others with various registered offices called ‘We Buy Cars Today’ so I presume this is the route most of their cars come from, most being a pile of rubbish with faults which can’t be part exchanged in the normal way. They do not know the meaning of customer service, once they have your money and the car has been taken that’s it – don’t expect any help, emails aren't answered, phone calls aren’t answered, and your number will be barred from their ‘mobile’ phone. Thomas Delgado does not care about customer Support! If you do buy a car from BroadTower Automotive and its okay that’ll be thanks to the previous owner and how they looked after and maintained it and nothing to do with this this bunch – BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! And just to finish, my local garage has given the vehicle a thorough health check, Surprise Surprise there are more problems, the brakes front and back were worn to dangerous levels, the handbrake shoes had disintegrated and were jamming the rear braking mechanism and the calipers had worn out because the brakes had worn to unsafe levels. So, to make this car safe £1000. This car was sold in a dangerous and unsafe condition and to me reaffirms a complete lack of care in customers and their safety.

Peter Vinnicombe in response to Terrible Experience - No Support Offered
I feel your pain - had exactly the same experience to you - had to go the legal route in the end which cost a fair bit and from start to finish about 6 months until I got my money back - they have to give you your money money back - they are relying on you to give up, so don’t! It kills me how this company manages to fiddle its reviews on AutoTrader, and so many more customers will fall victim to this - whereas this site gives the true experience of this nightmare company. The owner should be put away. Good luck, a fellow victim...
Peter Fleischer from BroadTower Automotive in response to Terrible Experience - No Support Offered
Know exactly how you feel ,I’m in the process of taking legal action against this company who sold me a car unfit for purpose ,I only wish I had read these reviews before giving them my money AVOID
Purchased a used car from Broadtower Automotive but not sure what to make of them. Directed to the car of my choice and left to get on with it. The car was filthy outside but clean inside. The sales fellow was totally uninterested whether he made a sale or not. A few days later I noticed that the car had been purchased from Webuyanycar.com otherwise known as British Car Auctions. The dealership is not very awe inspiring and might be off putting to the intending buyer. Now based in Epping and not Ware as stated on their website.
When I originally visited Broadtower Automotive the car was in a shocking state both inside and how the car ran (performance - just about moved) I let them convince me that they would fix all the problems - well they did fix the problems I spotted before I bought it, but the car had a load of issues which came to light afterwards I bought it. They are good and responsive before you buy, but afterwards you feel like a leaper. The drive belt broke in the first 2 weeks, and after I put a new belt on the steering pump leaked massively- prob a consequence of putting a new tighter belt on. There were several other issues but when I rang them their response is that the warranty only covers the engine and gearbox. I pointed out that I have only had the car 2 weeks - they say they will ring back, but never do. DO NOT USE BROADTOWER AUTOMOTIVE!
