i went to this dealership to find a car, and found one in a black clio it was reasonable on prise and affordable. the car over all was clean and tidy and i did not expect a lot for the money but i wanted a reliable car its on a 03 plate. i found a few things that needed doing and after talking to lee and some of his staff the problems were resolved, i have had the car nearly a year now and its still going strong happy to say no problems you expect some teething problems but like all cars if you look after them and treat them right they will be as reliable as they can be. service with a smile friendly staff and a company that puts the customer first. im pleased with the service i got and a car that will run and run and run. thanks to you all keep up the good work. i would rate this company to any one.as i can not find any fault with them good team of staff and a reliable work force for all your car needs.

I went to broxburn motorzone for a car I dealt with Kerry who worked endlessly to secure me finance,I gave up on it in the end but not due to Kerry it was down to the awkwardness of the finance company,I gave her 300 pounds deposit and when I decided not to continue the deposit was given back.Kerry is to be congratulated on her efforts, I will in the future go back and see Kerry about a car , "good effort Kerry" Stephen r , glasgow.

Well where do i start with Broxburn Motor zone. The worst company i have ever dealt with. First of all i bought a car from this lot, it was over priced but looked good, i spoke to the salesman, an english guy, i was told that the car carried a 1 year MOT, when i drove the car i told them that there was an initial problem with the breaks and could hear a screeching from them but was assured that this would all be sorted when it was going through the MOT and service, there was also a head rest missing from the car which i was told would be ordered in, as i was excited about getting a new car i asked to pick it up that day but was told that as it needed to be serviced and MOT'd that i had to wait until the next day, wasnt really a problem but waited and got the car next again day and all seemed to be ok. After a few days of driving the car i noticed again that there was still a screeching with the breaks and that the horn was not working and there was an issue with some of the electrics as the drivers side window would not open but all the rest would, so the car went in again and i was told that new breaks and discs had been put on the car and that it was just a fuse that needed changed on the electrics (well i think that was what was explained as there was a language barrier between myself and the mechanic) again i was out in the car, the horn still wasnt working and the drivers side window would still not open, i explained to Broxburn motor Zone that i still felt unsafe with the breaks as it was not breaking properly, they then had the car back in the garage, i was told that there was an electric problem with the car and that as i was just out with the warranty date that i would have to pay to have the electrics fixed, i was absolutely fuming as this had been a problem from the very start, the mechanic tried to explain to me in broken english that he had fixed the problem before with the electrics but there had been another electrical problem in the short time i had the car back and as i was a few days out with the warranty i would have to pay, i explained that the issue with the window is the same issue that was before CLEARLY but he tried his very best to explain to me that it was another electrical problem that was causing the window to not move and that what he had fixed it the last time but was another problem that was causing the window not to open, again shocked and annoyed i actually wrote a terrible review on this website (www.cardealersreviews) and explained all of this in the review as i was disgusted by the way i was treated, i then got a phone call from the manager saying that if i did not take the review down that he would not sort my problem for me, so i reluctantly agreed, so asked for the review to be removed, which it was, apparently the electrics, the breaks & the horn had all been fixed!! Now on the day i collected the car the horn, the breaks and the electrics seemed to be all working fine, i left Broxburn Motor Zone unhappy with my experience but thought to myself, atleast it had been fixed!!! A week or so later the electric window stopped working again and again the breaks still felt unsafe, however the horn was working fine which was great, i did consider going back to get them to fix the window & explain that i still felt unsafe in the car with the breaks, but thought it wasnt really worth the hassle, so i just left it. Having not dealing with these fraudsters for a good few months the time had come to MOT my car, i tried to do this online but it would not allow me to as it kept saying i had no valid MOT, SHOCKED as i was sold my car with 1 years MOT i called Broxburn Motorzone and was told by the same salesman who i bought the car from that he was too busy to speak to me and that if it was showing as no MOT i had to visit direct.gov to check the MOT, which i did and what a surprise i got, i only found out that the MOT ran out in the car 2 weeks before the date i was trying to tax it, so this meant that i was driving a car without an MOT which meant i could have potentially lost my licence, i called back and said that i was annoyed with this to say the least, to be told that as it was just before newyear that they couldnt deal with it for me for another week, i was supposed to hear back from them on the Monday, so in the mean time i sent them an email and copied in my finance company just to add clout to my concern, i received an email along with a nice letter from my finance company but nothing from Broxburn Motor Zone, i then called them and explained the situation, they said that they had my email that they were trying to get the paperwork for it, having waited all day with no response at all i went to the premises to give the car to them to sort out, there was about 6 staff members all in the office and i had to explain this situation to what felt like all of them, they said that they would never have offered me a full years MOT on the car and i said that they did and to bring the sales man i spoke to and i will confirm to his face what he offered me a full years MOT but was told that they have sold hundreds of cars this year that he wouldnt remember speaking to me, i said well if you don't remember then i do and was offered a full years MOT, after being mortified and it became clear that they were not going to do a single thing for me i decided to take me car to Farmers Auto Care over the road which was my only option as the car was not legal to be on the road. To cut a long story short the car i bought off them was a completely awful, it failed the MOT on numerous things, more shockingly the breaks being one of them, i have now paid 50% of what the car is now worth to get it all fixed and is safe and legal to be on the road. So.......... Is Broxburn Motor Zone a poor car dealership???? YES is the answer to that. Don't worry to those whose bad reviews i have only just read, i am taking this to trading standards and hopefully something will be done about this company, my only hope is that someone does not have an accident with them selling a car that maybe in the same condition as mine.

lee from Broxburn Motorzone in response to very unhappy Broxburn Motor Zone customer

This customer purchased a saab from ourselves and also the same car from our competitor, Our car had an 8 month mot, so we wouldn't have mot d it. Also when a car leaves the premises, we go all over the paperwork with the customer before it goes.. The fact it has took 8 months to notice this, he was obviously confused between the 2 garages. Regards Lee

Avoid like the plague! The "warranty" isn't worth the badly photocopied bit of paper the stupid blue car diagram showing which parts are covered is on. We bought a Seat Ibiza Sport and 3 months later the ECU and Engine Management light would come on and the car's engine would cut out while idling. Called Broxburn Motorzone 21/12/2015 only to be told that their Servicing Dept would be shut until 05/01/2016. Unfortunately by 27/12/2015, the engine warning light started flashing, the car had gone into limp-home mode, would not exceed 60 mph and would shudder as though being driven over cobble stones. We were able to get the car home but when we attempted to restart it, the car engine continually cut out. We now had a car that was no longer safe or capable of being driven and had to be recovered from our home in order to be repaired. Given that we required this car for work and that the Servicing Department would be closed until the New Year, and that they could not provide a vehicle recovery service, we had no choice but to call a local garage and ask them to investigate the problems. So far we have had the ignition coil and spark plugs replaced, but the ECU still shows errors. We have been told the issue is with the ECU or potentially the wiring itself and we now have an auto electrician looking into this as we speak. If that comes back with no faults, it's onto the ECU for investigation / potentially a rebuild which will cost £250! So far our garage bill is £391 and rising and when I called Broxburn Motorzone their attitude was that we should have waited until the 5th January for their Servicing Dept to look at the car. Even though we had no way to get the car through to them (we live 40 miles away) and we'd hoped to have the car fixed quickly because we rely on it. They will even meet us half way and refuse to pay out for the parts or labour and refused to send me a black and white written copy of what exactly their "warranty" covers. They don't have the facility apparently to email a copy or post one out?! We are relying on friends for lifts back and forth to work and Broxburn Motorzone couldn't care less. Interestingly as other reviewers have pointed out, no one is keen to give you their name when you call, they refused to tell us Deryck's surname - which is Barnes if anyone needs it. Their attitude and lack of customer care is appalling and they pass you back and forth and tell you they'll call back. They also lied and told us Deryck wasn't available when we asked to speak to him, when infact he was in the sales office working! Have spoken with Trading Standards and will be taking this further. Broxburn Motorzone obviously think they're exempt from the Sale of Goods Act!!

This car dealership is completely useless. Vauxhall Astra they sold in March of this year has major problems that were covered up. The car was back in their garage within a week of it being sold and was in there continually. They said they serviced the vehicle but independent garage had to change a mangled oil filter. They said they replaced the timer chain which should last 200,000 miles but my mechanic says this was either not done or faulty one was fitted. The guys who I dealt with were called Derek and Lee. Trading standards and watchdog have been informed today.

We bought a car from this dealer in August. They had carried out the MOT in July and it had passed with only advisory notes about the tyres which we sorted out by buying new tyres from them when buying the car. Within three months there was a problem with the exhaust. Taking the car to a vat registered garage, as advised by Broxburn MZ, it was also discovered that the front beam had eroded. The garage said they were shocked that this car had been sold to us only three months ago and that it had passed its MOT. They advised that it was a danger to drive and should be kept off the road. Obviously we were shocked to have been sold a car that was dangerous. After several attempts to speak to someone at Broxburn we spoke to Derick who was very unhelpful. He said it was his word against ours and there was nothing they would do to help us. As the car is dangerous to drive we have no choice but to get the garage it is currently in to fix it as it is too dangerous to drive it to Broxburn. Awful customer service but worst than that, they are potentially endangering lives by selling unroadworthy vehicles.
