Stay away, you will end up with a load of trouble. He will ignore your calls, just take your money.
Burton Joyce Cars have now closed and I believe that Christopher Fletcher has now opened and is Director of House of Cars Southwell (source - free internet search of the Companies Register ) just in case anyone wants to purchase a car from him again!

WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM CHRIS, I bought a car from B.J cars had so many faults, dodgy m.o.t. The car was dangerous to drive, phone calls ignored, takes your money for faulty cars, stay away.
Purchased an Audi A5 Quattro sport 3.0 tdi going back last June 2015. The car was looked at on e-bay, I requested more photo's and ended up buying the car blind. They must have benn laughing their heads off when I asked them to deliver the car to South Wales to me without a proper inspection on it. The car came with a brand new Mot and service on it so hunkydoray I thought.............. 1)It was sold to me with two bauld tyres and a back one advised of a screw in it on the mot. 2) It had a brand new service on it, yet the computer started flagging "service needed", I was asked to take it to my local dealer to get the parameters reset as they forgot to do it. 3) the bonnet, front wings, and front spoiler all look like they are covered in snow due to stone chips.................. 40 Wing mirror indicator lens packs in. 40 Main beam led light bulb packs in........ we never paid the extra £100 for the delivery of the vehicle as we have currently spent £1200 pounds on sorting it out. stay away from these Jack monkey's or you'll get screwed by them. ps. their very good at getting out of things as you may read on every one else's complaints.
After reading reviews on here I was somewhat wary of using Burton Joyce Cars. I had found the best example of a BMW 5 series which was on there forecourt. It had come in as a part exchange. Following my request for further information on the car and bits and pieces for service history etc, Chris and Mark could not have been more helpful. They were professional, knowledgeable and there was no pressure from them either. I was really impressed and would certainly use them again, if the right car came up in the future. The problem with reviews, is people hardly put them up when it is a good experience, so here is mine, to shine some light on how they get it right. Thanks again for your help.

Robert, the reason that people don't always put up good reviews is because they were satisfied with the service and were able to get on with their lives. Chris is not a man of his word and still owes me £600 for spare parts which he gave me his word he would pay and did pay, but it was all lies. They are all very friendly and knowledgeable when taking your money, but I just hope nothing goes wrong with your BWM! I stand by my review - BJ Cars are not to be trusted and Chris is not an honourable man.

I second that. Had 10k financed on a Land Rover, had to take back twice, then checked old MOT's that had been done to find out the new 12 month MOT they supplied me was dodgy! How can a vehicle pass an MOT with 3 separate wheel nuts missing & 2 bulbs out?? What a joke! Not surprised they've now closed!! Bunch of clowns!

I also agree with that. For information only purposes, I believe Burton Joyce Cars have now closed and Chris Fletcher is now Director of House of Cars Ltd Southwell (source search Companies Register free of charge on the Internet and in some of House of Cars advertising Burton Joyce Cars is mentioned.)
Burton Joyce Cars in Nottingham, or BJ Cars, as I now refer to them, really do suck. Unfortunately, they don’t suck in a pleasurable and exciting way, which leaves a guy gripping the pillow, with a big grin on his face, wanting more, and more and more. No. They suck like only a bad blowjob can; it’s toothy, frustrating, highly lacklustre and leaves you with a feeling of anger and emptiness. I keep asking myself why I got in to bed with this company in the first place. I was fooled with the promise of a great car, but it’s been nothing but trouble and now they won’t do anything to help sort out the problem within their “3 month warrantee”. Trust me, the only money-shot you’ll see is the money you’ll spunk fixing all the faults on the car they’ve sold you! In October 2015 Mark sold me an expensive high performance Audi which had a faulty Tyre Pressure Management System (TPMS) (I stupidly ignored the warning on the dashboard at the time, but they would have seen the permanent yellow TMPS light on the dash and were still happy to sell the car with the fault anyway), a faulty rear windscreen washer, a mouldy drivers side door panel and an additional faulty windscreen pump, which developed after I bought the car. I called up within the Burton Joyce warrantee period and explained the faults to the owner, Chris and he agreed on the phone that he would pay me for the cost of parts to get this all fixed. I explained I would rather an Audi specialist fix the fault and I also explained I did not want to have to drive the 150 mile round trip multiple times. He agreed to this and, in the end, I had to make a number of trips to the local Audi specialist much closer to me in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, to get the issues fixed, instead of Nottingham. Having read multiple bad reviews from other customers of BJ Cars (Slurp, slurp, gobble, gobble) I was well aware that Chris’ aftersales customer service was shockingly bad. To say I was apprehensive that Chris would handle such a simple task, i.e. reading an email and setting up a bank transfer swiftly, was an understatement. I sent him copies of the invoices I had spent on parts (£600) and followed up with him the next afternoon. “Give me a chance to look it over”, he said in a passive-aggressive tone. So, I gave him a week and no email or call back. I tried calling and Mark would always tell me he is off picking up cars at auction - dodgy cars with electrical faults, no doubt. I then managed to get through to him on two occasions. Both times he said he would sit down and sort this out within minutes and transfer my money to me. Did he do this? What do you think! He’s that stereotypical second hand car dealer we all hear about who will happily give you a reach-around to get you to buy a car from him, but come back to him with a problem and he just fobs you off time after time. After sending him an email five days ago he then came back instantly saying, “You have my word I will be paying you back” with no mention of time scales. As far as I am concerned, his words are empty. He has no intention of paying me my money back and he expects I will forget and get bored of chasing him, which is why I have wrote this colourful review to make others aware of him and his shocking customer service. Nearly three weeks later and I am still waiting payment. This guy clearly doesn’t understand the concept of developing or maintaining a good reputation and he is certainly not a man of his word. Yes, he will tell you he sells “400 cars a year” and I am sure some of them are OK, but if you buy one of Chris’ bangers don’t expect him to ‘finish you off’ in style! Below are a few links to some other bad reviews. As far as I am concerned there is no smoke without fire!

Bought a car back in August. Was promised 1 years warranty, tax and mot. I received non of the above. I got 6 months tax and 6 months mot. No warranty. I even have in writing the car was coming with 12months tax. Was promised a refund for the tax and a warranty update. Ignoring calls and texts now. Will be taking this further if not sorted soon. Have a copy of ever text or email sent so they won't have a leg to stand on, including emails from them agreeing on warranty!! Wouldn't use again, worst after sales service e possible.
I recently bought a VW Touareg from Chris at burton joyce cars. Really good honest dealer and the car is perfect and as described. Got a good PX price for my old car and the car I bought from them is absolutely spot on. Had a small problem in the first couple of days with a faulty brake sensor and heater motor but Chris promised to fix them the following week after purchase and he did. Well happy with their service and the car!

Purchased a car over the phone, it was described as mint. I asked for Mark to walk around the car twice and confirm, which he did and again he confirmed it was mint. I then purchased the car which they delivered. On receipt the first thing I noticed was a scratch on the front bumper. I called and they offered to pay £80 towards the repair. Yes you guessed it, I am still waiting and unlikely to ever receive this! STAY AWAY!!!

Take your problem up with ombudsman we are currently in the process of taking Burton Joyce cars to court :)

Not being totally honest here are you. You called us stating that you were a trader, who had a customer for this particular car. We agreed to sell you the car for a trade price- over £2000 less than the screen price and also delivered it free of charge. You're infact not a trader atall- you couldn't give us a business name or address for the invoice. And while taking our driver back to the station you were stated you're a pro tennis player who can get her tickets to all the night clubs in London if she ever wanted a night out. Very professional.
Great selection of cars but don't be fooled by their stock list. Check the car thoroughly before you leave... and make sure it is clean when you pick it up. I had my car proffessionally cleaned after a month of buying it because I wasn't achieving great results doing it myself. Knowing I had recently purchased the car, the company informed me quickly that almost every panel had been badly re-sprayed and the paint was peeling off the wheels. I paid top price for this car from Burton Joyce Cars. No one to blame but myself... I should have trusted my gut instinct when I saw the car hadn't been cleaned in preperation for my arrival. I was still in contact with Mark 8 weeks later because I was still waiting for the service book they kept promising. When I told him about the state of the paintwork, he wasn't surprised at all... in return I received a single word response from him 'Ouch'! I have traded the car in after 8 weeks and lost 4K in the process because of the bad paintwork. I wish I had come across this review site before I bought the car as all bar one of the reviews are poor. It seems Martin Robinson had a great experience in October this year. My name is Martin RobERTson and I bought my car in September. Is it an amazing coinsidence that Martin Robison & Martin Robertson bought a car from this place within 4 weeks of each other??? I question the authentisity of their one and only 5 star review!!

You received your service book as soon as we got it back from BMW- it was out of our hands. You knew the car had a full BMW service history as you were shown a print out when collecting the car. As for the paint work- we didn't have any paint work done on the car and genuinely didnt think it had any previous paint, it was obviously HPI clear. And it was certainly clean upon collection- especially considering you hadn't seen the car before collection day we would not present you with a dirty car. It's a shame customers don't report issues to us before coming on here and writing a bad review- we always try our best to sort our customers issues. We sell over 300 cars a year and have only a handful of complaints- which we try to resolve straight away. It's a shame the customers who are happy with there cars don't leave reviews.
I would like to thank Burton Joyce Cars (Mark) for a great experience when purchasing my new toy a Mini Cooper S (R56). The team addressed all the issues with the car before collection and it was like buying a brand new car – even though the car is a few years old! The one issue I have had was dealt with in a professional, polite manner as one would expect of a seasoned car sales show room in which they are. I would happily purchase my next car for BJC in the very near future as they have no gained a valued customer in me.
