Bought an Alhambra from Penarth trade centre aka C & N Automotive Trade Centre back in january. Tried in vain to contact them as the whole process was a shambles. The vehicle was delivered to us in Plymouth and the delivery drivers assumed it was being brought down to a specific breaker, NOT to new owners. Car was filthy, not cleaned as promised, parts missing, Have never had any reply from them. MOT now due and the underneath is totally corroded. AVOID AVOID AVOID. REPORTING TO VOSA.

Paid for a car, no car and no refund. Dreadful people who are rude and stupid. Kept saying refund was paid through bank. Then the cheque was in the post. Anything to avoid giving the money back. Check them out at companies house for any confirmation, just dissolved the company owing over £350,000 and a lot of car customers, just ordinary people. But trading under yet another name. I wish I knew that before. Avoid C & N Automotive Trade Ltd.

Thought I would leave my reviews of this great 'company' also to help stop others being treated badly by this man! Bought a citreon C3 back on the 2nd January from C & N Automotive Trade Ltd, owner seemed a really nice guy and took the car for a test drive, car was fine heard a noise but was reassured that it was just some surface corrosion due to the cars just being washed! Bought the car with 3 months warranty and a free MOT in March as the MOT wasn't due until then. I had to transfer the money to their account as they didnt have a card machine. Few days later heard a terrible crunching noise while driving in 1st and 2nd rang the garage straight away and nobody could deal with me as it was now being taken care by 'after sales' anyone who has visited the place can see they all work from the same office! Heard nothing so took it to a local garage who advised the car should never have been sold the gear box had gone and all 4 tyres were illegal and a crack in both front brake pads. Drove the car straight down on Monday 25 January and surprise surprise the owner wasn't there the ladies advised to leave the car and he would sort it the day later, another man at the garage drove the car and said it was the gear box but the rest wouldn't be covered by the warrant. Again nobody would answer my calls or emails until my father went down! He was advised I was made aware the car had a noise so they were not liable! I wrote a letter requesting a full refund under the consumer rights act within 30 days. Received an email back a week later stating that the clutch had gone due to my wear and tear (I hadn't even driven the car 150 miles) so they would issue me a refund of the car minus the cost of the Clutch. I went to trading standards who advised me to accept this and Sue for the remainder. Accepted the refund but had to receive a cheque as this was their policy so Geri from the 'legal team' advised. No cheque received and nothing could be done as the boss was in hospital with his daughter! I have now finally received a cheque for the remainder of the money minus the clutch and I am definitely one of the lucky ones but all in all received terrible customer service from all at the garage and all seemed to pass me around and couldn't deal with me. Took me around 100 calls and endless emails but I am finally done with this horrific place and I hope you all get justice too!
Purchased a car from C & N Automotive as been there before and no issues. What a big difference!! Was told car was ready when wasn't as stupid woman in office don't check details before calling people. When went down to the garage as not getting back to us, was promised car would be delivered to us with full tank of petrol. A week later was ready and couldn't get rid of us quick enough. When I checked the new MOT certificate I discovered that had 2 bald tyres in the front. When questioned this was told ' you own the car now' so had to paid out on 2 tyres straight away. Car not been cleaned and guess what No petrol in the tank. As car was purchased for my parents when I tried to speak to the useless office staff they became very rude and aggressive towards me and told me if I didn't leave now they would call the police as it's not their problem. Yes the police did turn up as we were waiting at a nearby tyre centre to have new tyres. The police would it quite funny and told me they get called every time someone tries to challenge them and the best thing we could do is contact trading standards, which I have done.

Brought my car from him he promised me boot gas struts and never happened promised me a 6 month anything happens to it warranty and low and behold you guessed it not happening either. I wouldn't buy a car from here as long as I have hole in my backside. Avoid C & N Automotive.
They took £1600 cash and my own car lied to me about who they were tried to argue the law because bishop is a ex police officer, he denied lying took over a month for my money back and used my child as a example of how could I prove anything, avoid C &N Automotive at all costs.
These are now trading as Penarth Trade Centre, same building, owner, different name! AVOID! We bought an unfit car from C & N Automotive Trade as it was called in 2015 and it took us over a year and a court case to get our money back! He has appeared on X-Ray twice, how he is still able to trade is beyond me!
Bought my Vectra SRi in January 2015 and it has flown through 3 MOT's with no advisories. I made sure that C&N changed the cambelt and water pump prior to collection and to be fair, the car hasn't let me down, and it's serviced every year and oil changed every 6 months as per Vauxhall guidelines. I then went back in April 16 and bought a Toyota Aygo for my daughter and this car apart from general wear and tear hasn't let us down either. I understand that any purchase of a second hand car is a minefield to the general public, really got to do your research and don't listen to the BS, always rely on your instinct, this is what I've always done and it serves me well. I'm not a mechanic nor am I related to C&N in any way, just been happy or lucky with my two purchases.
Firstly Jason told me his name was Jason Price, I have found out he is also using false last names. I bought a car from there in March 2016, after waiting and pestering him for my car to go through an mot, and constantly on to their repairs people (which are not professionals at all as I once caught one of the mechanics in the warehouse working on the WRONG side of my car) I finally received my car in June 2016, which I was later told had no logbook in which I made Jason pay for and for him to give me another car to drive whilst mine was still unable to drive. The car itself was in horrendous condition, so I decided to save enough money to get the bodywork repaired to which I thought was the end. To my horror I have just been told the car is cat C and needed a new engine as the engine coolant had been leaking into it due to damage.. the car has spent more time being repaired than on road, absolutely gutted £2500 down and no car, can anybody help?

Bought a car from Penarth Trade Centre which I later found out was previously C and N Autos. I would avoid this place like the plague they are very rude individuals who could take a lesson in customer service. Never been spoken to this way by anyone once they had my money they didn't care sold me a dangerous car which I will need to get repaired at an extra cost to myself. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!
