My family had a brilliant, experience at Canfield Car Dealers.. My son was looking for a Honda Civic Type R. We spoke to Matt and David. Who asked to ring when on our way, and comunicated back to us. As we appreciated many people break arrangements. I have to say Matt is both knowledgeable giving sound advice /information. We found Matt helpful, and honest and dedicated. We felt extreamly welcomed. We booked an appointment and Matt arranged for us to be collected it felt definitely a tailored service. Dave turned up in the Honda Civic.. It was all my son had anticipated. It was spotless and stunning. . I was in for a treat a grand prix experience. My nephew was just saying "wow!"..thoughout the experience.. ( Obviously within speed limits) we were Well impressed....the Type r was as described. Out. on the open road we were very impressed how the car handled the road. My son gave it the heads up. When we arrived at the show room. While they went on a test drive I got a guided tour "mmm" you can be spoilt for choice the show room is so impressive huge collection from luxury high end, classic and collectors to little runaround. I found the prices reasonable good for all pockets. I broused , defiantly felt that we were in charge of our choice. Matt gave a huge discount we paid a decent fair price. Even allowed us to leave a huge deposit to secure it. We would rank Canfield Car Dealers as top class, and "yes" we are singing high praises for friendly high standards.. After the sale Matt was so kind as to drive ahead of us to make sure we were on the right way back in to London. Matt I'm ever late, it just other people are early (smile!) "Thank you so much". My family feel so comfortable buying with peace of mind from your company. We definitely with out hesitation would recommend Canfield Car Dealers felt looked after and blessed by you help and fairness. My two daughters are next to visit. Honestly I can not fault the care and and smoooth service we received. This is a true reflection of our experience.

Very unprofessional, don’t waste your time with this Garage. I arranged to view a car a few weeks back with Canfield Garage. I confirmed a date and time with the owner and even gave him a courtesy call to advise I was on my way and to check the car was still in stock, as I was travelling over 90 miles I didn't want to be disappointed. Upon my arrival at the agreed date and time i was dismayed to find a garage closed. I phoned both the mobile and land line numbers provided on their website to no avail. Somewhat perplexed I decided to ask the local business in the industrial park if they knew where the garage owners were or if they had alternate contact details for them. The answers were all the same, no idea where the garage owners were and this is a very common occurrence with this firm. As I was about to leave, an older couple arrived and asked me if I work for the garage, I told them I didn’t and asked if they were here to buy a car. Their response was quite disconcerting; apparently they had recently bought a car from this garage and it’s been no end of trouble for them. They advised the garage owners agreed to take a look at the car on three separate occasions, but each time the car was brought in for inspection. Guess what?? Shop shut.

I have personally checked CCTV footage to see if i could identify a time where nobody was at the dealership to help customers. Whilst i don't want to accuse anyone of fabricating their experience they should know that this is not what any customer should expect, however after checking the cctv system, telephone calls, neighbouring businesses, emails and appointment book i cannot find a time inside our opening hours when the dealership has been left unattended or indeed closed up as you state or in fact any of the scenarios you have stated in your review. If you are were in fact a genuine customer and feel as strongly as you do then you should have given us the opportunity to help you i feel our customer service is excellent and anyone who has genuinely bought cars from us or used our service department is completely satisfied with the high levels of service we provide.

Phoned this dealership twice on 23.6.15 to confirm open and car in stock, NO REPLY on both occasions. As we are 20 mins drive away, went anyway but were unable to test drive car due it not having a current MOT. Arranged with Matt to return 3 days later to test drive when MOT done so basically had made an appointment. Phoned Matt the day after we had first seen car to discuss a couple of details only to be told he had sold it to a buyer who did not test drive it and took it without an MOT just after we had visited. I told him what a terrible dealer I thought he was and he actually tried to justify his actions as REASONABLE. Why not just tell the alleged buyer that there was already an interested party and that the car would only be available if I declined it following the ARRANGED test drive. I should have read this review site prior to wasting my time as It probably gives an accurate feel of how Canfield Garage operates. They do not appear to have a clue about how to treat a genuine potential customer. My advice is to GO ELSEWHERE.

Thank you for your review Simon and I am sorry you didn't like our garage however we feel it a little unfair that you have left such a review in the circumstances, from what we recall you arrived without an appointment to view a number of cars and liked an Audi A4 we had in stock you said you had no time to test drive the car and would return in 3 days time for a test drive we clearly asked for your contact details which you refused to give us we also asked if you wanted to leave a refundable deposit to secure the car which you also point blank refused you then left the garage. After you left a customer walked in later that day liked the car and purchased it with an MOT and took delivery the same day. The following morning you phoned and we told you it had sold you then became very abusive towards us and hung the phone up we immediately returned your call using BT 1471 and tried to explain that we had no obligation to hold the car for you on the off chance that you might return in 3 days time! We even offered you another lower mileage example for the same price. Im not not sure what we have done wrong in the situation or why you would want to damage our business online.
The Jeep I purchased from Canfield Garage was supposed to come with a soft top. I was told that it would be forwarded, however it never arrived. I was then promised a cheque in settlement but I am also still awaiting this after several months.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review based on the car you purchased in May 2013, some 2 years after you took delivery. We do not feel it is justified as we have explained on numerous occasions your Jeep only comes with one roof, I am sorry but we cannot supply a spare roof.
Buying my Mercedes C180 was a really easy no fuss transaction. The quality of vehicles being sold is exceptional. I would highly recommend Canfield Garage to any one seeking their next quality motor. Gary is easy to deal with and has a very professional operation. I will be recommending your garage.

Spoke to garage to organise time of arrival on a Sunday, drove the 110 miles - to find a few people queued all turned round and left becuause he wasn't there as promised. Thanks I love wasting my time and money!!!!

I am really sorry you missed us, this was an extremely unfortunate incident. We were open 10am until 3pm Sunday, maybe you missed us when we were on a test drive or getting some fuel, I have no messages or contact from you that you were at the garage or were even coming to us. Maybe a phone call, text, email or even a note and we could have contacted you on our return. We would never knowingly waste any potential customers time who has come to visit our dealership.
I am very pleased with the Lexus RX300 i purchased from Gary i got a very good deal and took the car on the same day and would recommend them to friends and family
