Was intrested in a Mercedes 350 eclass in silver for sake at Car & Caravan Co in Brigg, Looked a ok car on web site, Talked to Aiden a few times, as I was around 180miles away I wanted a honest report on the car, As I didn't want a wasted journey, Questions asked were, Has car had any repairs or paintwork ? Reply, No a couple of chips on bumper, other than that its all good, Has car got a tow bar ? No it hasn't was the reply, So satisfied by Aiden that all is good, I decided to make the journey to buy the car, Simon picked me up from the station in the Mercedes I had travelled to buy, Instantly I could see front panel misaligned and front bumper a different colour, On arrival at car site, on further inspection, Nearside rear door and quarter panel repaired and painted Badly ! On inspecting the car further, Yes it had a tow bar which I was assured it didn't, Then a front offside tyre had steal cords showing through holes in the tread, With a fresh mot test on the car ! If I had bought the car I couldn't drive it for fear of tyre blowing out on motorway, Very poor duty of care to customers. Back on train home, Complete waste of time, Completely mislead. Lack of responsabilty.

Car and Caravan Co in Brigg are amazing until you have problems with the car, the warranty isn’t worth the paper it is written on and nobody will help you. Money grabbers and life ruiners. AVOID

The car I was interested in at Car and Caravan Co looked and sounded good in the advert for their site. On closer inspection the front tyres were aged and degrading on the tyre walls, basically unsafe. Looked like they had been swapped from the back which had new tyres fitted. How it passed its last MOT has to be questioned. So I would have to question the safety of the cars they sell and what checks they carry out. The car was tidy enough but would have expected the valeting to have been better for the interior and exterior although the engine bay was very good. They were busy on the day I went but they did not offer any assistance at all other than to tell me its at the far end of the lot. They are just another 2nd hand car dealer and really have no interest in what they are selling and have to agree with other peoples views in that they really do not know what the condition is of the cars they are selling and probably do very little checks and servicing to them. If the car has a problem then that is up to you to fix it once you have bought it and would imagine they would be more than happy for you to purchase a warranty as it absolves them of anything. The warranties are not there to protect you and are difficult to claim against particularly with the age of the vehicles they sell. Buying from an independent seller you are always taking a bigger risk than from a main dealer, although the latter does not mean you are guaranteed a good deal. best to get any vehicle independently checked. lastly I would not recommend this seller, as I previously stated, just another 2nd hand car dealer

If you are looking for good customer service once you've bought a car stay clear of "Car and Caravan". The vehicle I bought came without the full size spare wheel they said a replacement would be acquired, no such luck ended buying my own off ebay. Luckily for me I took out a separate warranty because I don't think the months warranty they give is worth the paper it's written on. On the whole totally unhelpful and uninterested

I am happy with my new car . friendly people never pushed me in to a car left me look around I narrowed it down to two cars and Paul told me the pros and cons to each as I do a lot of miles through work and fuel economy is really important to me. Thanks again I will see you when I am ready to change again.

I would not touch Car and Caravan Co with a barge pole again I purchased a Chrysler 300 Estate on the 24th of october 2017 on the way home two lights came on the dashboard. On the 25th i rang my local Chrysler Dealer which they had the car in put it on their machine and came up with the swirl flap and Acuator need replacing also a turbo hose which had got a split in it I rang the sale man who i done the deal with he told me to get the car back and they would repair the car. I returned the car on the 6th of October. On the 23rd of October the car was still in the work shop not ready between that time i had contacted the sales mam 10 times and 3 Emails Each time to be told we will call me when its ready. The time for this repair was timed and costed by my local garage as a 5 hour job. On the 27th by Email warning that i was putting this in the hands of my Solicitors for a full refund as they were in breach of contract under the terms of Consumer right 2015.
