Purchase a car described as “mechanical sound, no problems at all….” What a lie, problem after problem. Ignore your calls/emails, Lie to your face. Avoid at all cost.

AVOID THEY SELL DANGEROUS CARS Absolutely awful place! We purchased a vehicle and were told that the brakes had been replaced the day before we collected...on our way home (with our young child in the back) we realised that brakes were not working correctly. We had our mechanic check the car over and the brakes were pretty much non existent!!! no regard for the safety of their customers. When we confronted the salesman Luke (who by the way is a lying rip off scum bag) he promised he would pay to have the brakes replaced but then denied all knowledge of the conversation. It's only when we realised that one of the directors is a Councillor for Peterborough Council that we actually managed to get some of our money back.

TOP TIER SCAMMERS! They said they was going to tax my sister car and they didn't do it, her car got towed she had to do everything myself herself, she even gave fee for my car to get tax and they didn't do it. The car got towed after the 48 hours I had to pay for releasing fee and I told them they need to give me money back. They've said they're going to get their manger to get back to me they've said nothing till this day and I've called so many times, they might not pick up or just say the manager needs to deal with the finance. You might even be lucky to get a "decent" salesman to sell you a car in that place I've got PTSD! I don't recommend this company to anyone unless you want to get scammed for free don't do it to yourself honestly.

Amazing service, greeted by a great young man by the name of Ryan who really knows his stuff. Very attentive, professional and supportive, really went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable but at the same time did not pressure me into buying the car, allowed me to make my own decision which I thought was really nice. Drove all the way from London, would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. A+++++++++

Our biggest regret is not thoroughly checking reviews first. We purchased a car from Car City GB about 6 weeks ago now and our experience has been terrible, they have been extremely unprofessional, deceitful and dishonest. The car arrived and driver rushed off without a handover. Upon our inspection, discovered several faults, including damaged tyres and faulty brakes to name just 2. After 2 weeks of being ignored by this company (ironically after the distance selling regulation 2 week grace period was up) they finally agreed to fix some of the issues. They provided a courtesy car then took ours for some 3 weeks for repair. After inspecting this ourselves, we discovered all they'd done is swap one of the tyres round so the damage was on the inside and out of view! After an independent main dealer inspection, we've now discovered another issue which is covered under warranty and we've paid out ourselves but they are once again ignoring our calls and messages for reimbursement. We also wanted to highlight that the courtesy car they provided us with had a box with hundreds of customers personal details including bank details, card details, photocopy driving licenses, passport photo's. So we are now concerned about our personal details being leaked!

Went to collect a BMW on saturday morning, finance already in place, days before. Was told I couldn't collect it until then as it needed a service. Just oil and air. Turned up to note some slightly more than superficial paintwork scrapes that were not detailed in the description. On investigating further, there was considerable filler on orange peel effect on the back door and further paint added down the righthand side. Also, the car had clearly not been serviced at all. The oil was thick and black. After listening to multiple excuses and reasons to try get me to commit to the car, I walked away. These people clearly buy unrecorded auction cars and put them into their own rubbish and cheap bodyshop/MOT/Service garage. I had a bad feeling about it from the start, so refused to take the delivery. I got back home only to see all the bad reviews for this company, despite this being told it was a "trusted dealer". I feel I dodged a bullet and was so relieved I took someone more knowledgeable about cars, otherwise I may have come home with it and think that's exactly what the garage pray and prey on. Please beware of these kinds of people. I would not even give them 1 star but it leaves me no choice.
