Cargiant sold me a car and warranty. The warranty was useless when I claimed and the car had a dodgy service record and missing safely recalls. Won't be going back.
I bought a car from Cargiant today, everything went smooth from the beginning to the end, I was anxious. the reception by Kwamw, he was friendly and he spent time explaining everything clearly, by the time I stood up I was calm and had an idea what car to choose, I chose the second car I viewed, then Danny sorted a good car finance deal for me, he was professional and friendly . I appreciated everything, everyone was nice and efficient. The whole process took almost 4 hours so you may need to dedicate your day for a car search, the finance etc. I give Cargiant 10/10. Thank you

Beware of CarGiant, they have excellent sales people but VERY POOR After Sales Service!! If you notice all the excellent and good reviews are concerned with the Sales team, and VERY POOR reviews concerning AFTER SALES, which says this company uses all types of excuses to shift blame so as not to fix damaged cars. This has to stop!! It’s unfair!! I purchased a Mercedes CLA Coupe from CarGiant on 3rd September 2018, the clutch stopped working after 28 weeks (21st March 2019) of driving and consequently had to be recovered by my Mercedes breakdown service, who confirmed after their inspection costing £162 (hundred and sixty-two pounds) per hour, that the clutch indeed needed to be replaced at a cost of £2500 (Two thousand five hundred pounds). I referred the matter to CarGiant After-sales team on two occasions, one by telephone and the other in person where I spoke to Jessica and Adam Hat respectively. I was informed on both occasions that due to the car being outside the warranty period of 25 weeks (3rd March 2019) CarGiant are not under obligation to repair the car. Under the Consumers Right Act 2015 it states the car must be “of a satisfactory quality”, “fit for purpose” and “as described”. For a used car, “satisfactory quality” takes into account the car’s age and mileage. The car is a late 2015 model, so it was under manufacture’s warranty when I purchased the car for £17,667, (therefore I was not afford the option of extended warranty) with a very low milage of 23k. From what I understand the clutch should last between 60k to 100k miles on a Mercedes car, depending on driver practice. Therefore, seeing that the car milage is only currently 35k, the fault was present when I purchased the car, therefore CarGiant have NOT sold me a car that was of “of a satisfactory quality”, “fit for purpose” and “as described”. In addition to above, following my recent service of the car at a Mercedes Dealership, I was informed that the brake pads were completely worn and will need replacing. Since the above incident with the clutch, and my conversation with Adam Hat, who stated that I needed to prove that the fault was present when I purchased the vehicle, I found a Service document for the car dated 02nd July 2018 which stated that the front brake pads are appox 80% worn, of course this was not pointed out to me when I purchased the vehicle, and I would not have known the implications of 80% worn I’m not a mechanic, therefore it’s the responsibility the sales representative to have pointed it out, tell me that this would mean replacing the pads within six months. If that had been the case I would not have purchased the car. I’m certainly not blaming the sales representative, for he gave me information that was on the computer screen in front of him. It seems to me the person(s) carrying out the initial checks did not highlight the faults with the clutch and the brake pads which was obviously present. I brought the car back to CarGiant on 22nd October 2018 (thereabout), using my lay-mans terms to describe that the car was “sluggish’, lost power and back parking sensors were not working. The sluggishness referred to the changing of gears. After I brought the car in I was told that the mechanics updated the computer system and no fault was found with the car. I left still experiencing that the car was still sluggish but just took the word of CarGiant’s mechanics who informed me that it was a technical error and not a mechanical fault. Again I am not a mechanic, I relied completely on CarGiant’s policy to provide me with a car of a "satisfactory quality” and “fit for purpose” and “as described. Should I had needed a mechanic to test drive the car before hand, CarGiant should have pointed this out, I know this indeed is not a requirement. I have subsequently written to CarGiant and are giving them the opportunity to fix my car. The financial burden and stress this has caused me is phenomenal, I’ll update here as to the outcome. Just beware, in fact I’d say not to purchase from this company, you don’t know what you’re getting, read the other After Sales reviews

I have had exactly the same sort of experience. I am shocked at Cargiant's behaviour.

Hi Pearl, I’m having issues with a car we bought in July, I have asked them to take back ownership of it! I was wondering if you have got anywhere with your complaint?

Hi I was nearly a victim too... I purchased a 3 series gt from car giant in dec 2019. The car had a flat tyre that was supposed to be fix, but only pumped up. We had to wait 3 hours for them to get the car ready according to them. After waiting they only done the tyre and cleaned the inside I know this because it was raining. Anyway I called them explaining the situation with tyre. They then told me to bring it to halfords. Then we noticed a dent on the boot car was sluggish, crack on windscreen batt key relacement etc.. but the real piss take was that my wife and kids were on the motorway and nearly crashed because these assholes sold the car without any brake fluid but claim car was serviced what a joke .oh not to to forget when web called to being the car back it was 2weeks in they actually tried to tell us to being it back 2 days after the warranty so that we would be stuck with it. On arrival bringing car back luckily because it was within the 30 day purchase period the advisor claimed that it was not a mechanical issue lol
Useless 2 minute test drive, on a 20mph road, you can't even test out the 3rd gear.. Cargiants extra fees are ridiculous. Why is there a £200 admin fee? Why is there a £200 fee for paying with an external finance company? Why are there extra charges for paying with cash? Their part-exchange quotes are comically low. You wait for ages, can literally take hours to collect the car that you've agreed to buy. I came in with my wife and made it clear that we'd both be driving the new car, yet no salesman has ever mentioned that we'd only betting one key! Was quite annoying when I found out at the very last stage after agreeing to buy and paying the deposit etc. The car reeked of cigarette smell when I viewed it, the salesman assured me that they'd take care of it. Well they pumped it full of car perfume, but I'm now realising that there is still cigarette smell lingering and I'm not even sure if I should call back and say something... They couldn't locate the payment from my finance at first, resulting in 20 minutes of stress and anger with a possibility of having to come the next day after having waited for ages and travelling from afar. They had mistakenly given my finance company another account that they don't usually check for whatever reason.. All in all, a bad experience.

This is the second vehicle we have purchased from car giant and I think that says it all. You wouldn’t return somewhere that had treated you badly. The service was excellent and I was very pleased with my purchase
