I bought a Vauxhall Astra auto on 18 June 2015. The gearbox was knackered when we got the car home, took back next morning and was given a rough old meriva loan car. The bodywork was dented and scratched all over, got the car back 2 weeks later took it home, same problem. I gave it back and was given a focus clean this time in condition. Again waited 2 weeks and given a few different stories about what was happening with the car so we rejected to take it back and given our money back on 16 July after waiting 2 hours for payment. You really need to check their cars as they do not let you test drive more than up the road, not good enough.
Car Giant are bad, bad, very bad. I called Cargiant 2 weeks ago about a car which was a Ford Galaxy and they told me car is not ready for sale they took my e-mail and my mobile number and said they are going to let me know when is car ready for sale. I called them most likely every day for an update and the same reply of not ready is given. I call again today as a new customer asked them have you got the Ford Galaxy for sale in reply saying sold. I told them I call you every day now you are saying it's sold. The customer service department did not even say sorry to me about this.
I went to Car Giant on the 01.07.15 and they offered me a good price on a part exchange, you have 7 days to take the offer but I left and went back on the 2nd to look again and see if I could see anything. I got there at 9.30pm and looked around and found two cars that I liked so went to the office at 9.54pm to go get the keys to look at them I got told by a "manager" that they are giving out keys and they close at 10pm. If your place or work trading hours are from 8am till 10pm then that's the hours you trade, so I walked out they are very pushy when they have all day but when it comes to home time they treat you like worthless....worst place 0/0.
We paid £11,500 for our car from Car Giant and picked it up at 10pm last night. This afternoon I go to use it for the first time and it won't start. I call Car Giant, my matter is urgent as I am 39 1/2 weeks pregnant and was driving to my baby car sear fitting. They were useless, my option is to have it picked up by them, taken back to their store to be fixed and then I have to pick it up. They are an hour away from me and again I'm 39 1/2 weeks pregnant, they don't provide a hire vehicle as a replacement. I ask them to send AA who might be able to fix it here so I can go for my baby car seat fitting as they are booked up a week in advance, and without a car seat baby can not come home from hospital. They refuse, they can only send a recovery vehicle leaving me with no car, no baby car seat and no idea of when the car will be returned to me. I request to speak to a manager and they say one will call me back in the next four hours!
Great customer service at Cargiant. Very helpful and supportive with the finance side of things. Quick call backs and friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and the car was in great condition. Have recommended a family member and the have just bought a Seat Leon from you. I'll carry on recommending Car Giant and will defiantly come back myself.
The car was not properly washed as expected following sales person s explanation. Another problem was the tyres not in good condition had a deflated tyre before arriving at home and had to go n buy new two tyres next day, very disappointed about that and the excitement of a new car was gone in a flash. Cargiant is very good dealer but needed to educate its staff to treat customers the same way, no discrimination.

From first visit to car collection, the team helped us a lot and there was no pressure or any other municipaliting games. I had a back screen problem which is needed to be changed and they have done it with hassle free. I highly recommend this company.
Where do I start: DO NOT USE, they will sell you a ticking time bomb with no qualms about reneging on their point of sale overtures.Example: Vehicle 5% oil level light would illuminate after 2 weeks, took vehicle to Vauxhall who found a failed drive shaft seal, and melted glove box lamp cover. Vauxhall would replace the aforesaid parts, and service the vehicle. Transpired vehicle was '3000' miles over its 20k main service schedule. Car Giant now claim they "do not service vehicle prior to sale unless appropriate payment is made" and without offering this very same claim when you're making your buying decision, notably when you'd tell them where to stick their car!!Vehicle was also sold with failed tyres (discovered as deemed failed by Car Giant's own pre site inspection) - Car Giant claim the tyres were replaced, notably in their letters, and subsequently under court conditions as Car Giant would know the tyres WERE NOT replaced - leaving customer to foot the replacement cost. Car Giant now asserts: "they are not at liberty" to provide the Invoices for the tyres (which didn't exist)! After 3 weeks, a small crack was noticed on the vehicle windscreen. Transpired the vehicle windscreen was also deemed failed (again, noted on their own so called pre site inspection where a chip on the windscreen was noted) but clearly wasn't attended, or even advised upfront at point of sale. Car Giant subsequently avoids the topic in their correspondence claiming the "vehicle was viewed prior to sale".Also, after 4 weeks of driving, vehicle driving irregularities noticed, having taken the vehicle to be checked it was found the vehicle had a suspected 'bent sub frame' which was also kept quiet/not checked by Car Giant - even though their pre site inspection stated 'uneven tyre wear'!Having taken a computerised wheel alignment result to Car Giant with the mechanics comment with respect to the suspected bent sub frame issue - Car Giant would initially DENY they received the correspondence, then state to Trading Standards there is 'no evidence' of a bent sub frame, and then refuse to respond to a request for a mechanical expert's report to verify their (insidious) claims. The appearance and finish didn't match the vehicle they originally advertised, and Car Giant will happily let you travel 100 miles to find this fact out - notably, significant impact damage to the underside sill of the vehicle, (lo and behold), consistent with the suspected bent sub frame - also significant scrapes/grazes on side panels, and bumper!Car Giant would pre-emptively blame the customers "buyers" for the discovered damage, at point of sale - but not only would the car not move 'advertised mileage' same a 'purchase mileage', but Car Giant would since slip up and state the vehicle was acquired from the previous owner WITH this damage - which begs the question why wasn't this significant damage made clear on the original advertisement? Or discernable by the original sale price? Or visible on the vehicle photos they would present on their website, or the website of a popular national vehicle trading website (who I won't mention their name - as would be insult to them)? At point of sale Car Giant would state they have pre-emptively taken £400.00 off the car to cover the cost of (then claimed recently discovered) exterior damage - further to having a specialist cost up the repair. However, in reality upon my subsequently taking the vehicle to a specialist it was found the total bodywork damage will cost just under £1.8k to rectify - I returned to Car Giant who since advised "Car Giant do not look to bring their vehicle up to a new condition" - obfuscating the ensuing £1.4k liability/shortfall - and blatantly reneging on the point of sale negotiations.Car Giant claim they do a Multipoint Inspection - and have presented a Multipoint claiming it was for my vehicle, (after 14 months) - having seen this questionable multipoint submission, and in light of the documented failures - all I can say is WOW.And all this comes straight from the top - the Customer Service Manager(s)!In short; Save yourself the time, money, headache, and get yourself the roadworthy car you deserve by shopping elsewhere. If you ignore these words and try your luck GET ANYTHING AGREED WRITTEN DOWN before committing with your cash - ensure you put your tyre kicking hat on with respect to the car; and you better hope the car is a good car with no inherent problems!! Don't say you weren't warned!

Thanks for confirming my fears over cargiant, I today took a 3yr old insignia to px on a 62 plate, was offered £5500. Even a well known car buying website that buys any car offered £1000 more. I was looking to buy a 62 focus titanium x, several body scuffs a crease in the boot metalwork, 3 bald tyres, chip in rear screen and no sd card for sat navigation, I asked for a discount off approx £600 to correct these defects and was told cargiant don't reduce the cost of cars as they are apparently much cheaper than other dealers. All this for £10k with 50,000 miles on it...walked out with salesman trying to get me back in. I couldn't leave quick enough
