Bought a BMW from Car Sales Fareham that not only had lots of minor defects that i found after a few days with the car but it also had a DPF issue and a major oil leak. The dealer said the car was under warranty but used my details without my consent to take out a warranty with a third party which didn't cover any labour or the fault with the vehicle after the dealer messing me around and leading me on on for a few months the car is now undriveable and parked up. The case is now going through a claims court and trading standards.

Currently called Car Sales Hampshire (CSH1 ltd). Really wish I'd found these reviews before I bought a Mondeo from them. Deposit paid Wednesday, told me that car would be ready for us Friday morning when I planned to pay the remainder. Purchased on the Friday, arrived to find car hadnt even had its MOT done. Had to wait til Monday to collect due to car failing on MOT - Nick the salesman tried to tell us it was nothing to worry about, a couple of small issues - however DVLA site stated 5 major defects! Finally got the call Monday afternoon that car was ready. We've had it two days and the air con doesn't work, fuel gauge doesn't work - not acceptable at all especially in the height of summer and having an hour's motorway commute to work, not good at all to run out of fuel!!! Requested refund this morning by email.

Got myself a BMW of late, top class sales and motor. Cant fault it

I had the misfortune of buying a car from here a couple of years ago, when his company name was different. I could have come to serious harm as the fault was dangerous and was very obvious. Unfortunately, I didn't get the car checked before purchase. Luckily, I got my money back, but was made to sign paperwork saying I would not say anything negative on social media!!! PLEASE avoid!!!

Sadly i bought a car here in Jan 18 & have been pursuing a refund for 3 months after it broke down within first week. It seems Paul Taylor is not aware of the Law regarding being able to return a car within 30 days if its ;not fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality. Its in the hands of Small claims now & Trading standards. Shame that the seller has 100% positive feedback on eBay. All from cheap market parts bought by them. Save yourself a lot of hassle & buy a car elsewhere. Wish i had !

If I could put no star I would. Terrible place. Faulty door handle and flat tyre both were supposed to be sorted but were not. No MOT even though the paperwork says they did one. No user manual, I asked for this when I put the deposit down and was told it was in the car. It wasn't told by the salesman Sean (who is a total plonker) 'we sell cars, not books, I don't want to spend the money to buy one, I can't be responsible for the previous owner not putting it in the car.' I'm reporting them to the AA who they very proudly advertise they are affiliated with..... Oh and they tried to tell me the car was 1000 more after I put the deposit down, that's the only reason I've given a high score for value for money because they cocked up!! Don't waste your cash.

Car Sales of Fareham is the same company as Car sales Hampshire Ltd, owned by the same person called ''Paul Taylor''. He will keep changing names to avoid all unhappy customer reviewing him. Car Sales Fareham is the worst dealership ever. STAY AWAY.

The barrel lock does not work. I realised this, when after 1 month of having the car the key wouldn't open my car with the button, so I tried with the key and that also didn't work. So I took the car back to the dealer 2 months ago and they took the barrel lock out and the seller said "oh, we must have overlooked the barrel lock not working as the electronic key was working". The seller 'Nik' also said they were sending off for a new barrel lock and that he would contact me within 10 days. I waited a month before I decided to call them. To which the seller said that, they didn't have it and that my warranty only covers labour and that I have to order it and then they will do the labour. I had waited well over the 10 days. If there was a problem I should have been contacted. Also my husband was with me and heard the seller say that he was ordering it and would let me know when it was in. The car wasn't sold as described and the fault was there before. They have made me wait over 8 weeks and now are offering a refund, when I want a repair/replacement which is there responsibility as I have had the car less than 6 months and the fault is not my responsibility to prove. They are liars and I would say never get your car from Car Sales Fareham.

Bought Mini One over a year ago - Apparently nothing wrong with the car - apart from the Front right fog pushed back slightly - get that fixed for - apart from that nothing wrong with the car ...... So..the Radiator has a v shaped dent in it ...thats normal is it ? The Drivers door has parts of a smashed window in it ... The underside Plastic bodywork has been cut away... The alternator was faulty ...and only held on by 2 bolts ...I had to get a new one ... The Battery was leaking .... The car required an Oil service it was on Minus 22,000 and to cap it all when I drove the car home - I noticed that it had NO OIL IN IT ...... Not something you would expect from a reputable Dealer ? - I thought not also ... So I called - No reply, left messages No reply ...Emailed no reply then got - Im out of the country until 3 months time then a further Email stating - Now this is how this works, you agree to pay for the extra work .... So is that EXTRA work and MONEY to get the car in a SAFE AND ROAD WORTHY STATE ?? And repaired by people that after a service - Which was not done as the air filter was filthy and the spark plugs are the same since is was made !!! Trust them to Fix my Car .....I think not ... So I informed Rogue Traders ...and Watchdog ....and On here - Please people ...DONT BUY FROM FAREHAM CAR SALES OR CAR SALES FAREHAM AS THEY ARE KNOWN .... Oh and on a prev MOT it says Oil Leak and Advisory to FRONT END DAMAGE ...But apparently ...EVERYTHINGS OK WITH THE CAR !!!
