I saw a car online which I was using as a comparison price to another supplier (who guarantees that they will not be beaten or will match the price - eventually they said they couldn’t even match this price). Called them up and asked some details and I wanted to reserve this (whilst waiting for the other company to reply with their match offer). They took some details and within seconds I received a payment request email to reserve. Later I decided to go ahead, I called and left 3 messages as I was keen to get this delivered for when I would be available, I was told you have to pay the full amount and then they will contact you to arrange delivery (I can see why but due to work schedule if I couldn’t get within 3 days it would be over 2 weeks before I would be available). They promise to speak to the Head Office to confirm delivery and let me know my midday the next day. The following day I call them several times from 3pm and eventually they respond to my calls and confirm I can have this delivered for Thursday and I would receive a call on the Wednesday to confirm a morning or afternoon slot and an email request for my ID for the delivery contractor (I never received that email request). I also agree to purchase a service / mot package. I receive an email an hour later asking for balance payment (this is relevant later on!!) By late Wednesday afternoon I called as I hadn’t received the email for ID or a call with the time. Am promised a call back. An hour later I try again and promised a call back. I tried their live chat and they said delivery is arranged by the store not Head Office (hmmm earlier I was told they had to wait for Head Office to get back to them!!) 30 minutes later (they were due to close soon) I called and told they would call back, I explained they keep promising and al lI want is a time. The Manager explained he has called the contractor - 3.-3.30 for delivery. Delivery day at 3.50 they call to check my address as its just leaving the store (20 minutes after it should be with me and its 50 miles away!!) All arrived eventually. I get a call to take payment over the phone for the Tax and to register the car in my name (they do all of this and do not put in my details as the contact - so I have to wait for V5 as proof of ownership). I call to explain there is no paperwork (receipt etc) with delivery or owners manual or details of the MOT Service package. They agree next day delivery by Royal Mail and to email me confirmation of registration (This didn’t arrive - when I called them it was because ‘your email address is wrong on our system’ which is odd as it managed to email me the 2 payment requests!!!) Package arrives - it has an owners manual / no details of MOT Service package / no T&C’s - in fact I think I would have got more paperwork if I bought from a private seller! Although I really believe I got a got deal (I looked the selling price up on a ‘we buy’ type website and they were offering £20 less for trade price than I bought for retail price!) I will question if the wasted hours (calling and waiting for manual etc) and the stress of them never calling me back was worth the cash saving. I cant see me buying my next car from them again unless the deal was absolutely unbelievable. Have decided to cancel MOT Service package as I have no paperwork and am not at all confident that they will honour it in 1 years time when the MOT is due! Public response received via Trustpilot within 48 hours of posting the review, still no reply received to my formal complaint which isn't public - so on day 4 I have asked them to contact me to arrange collection and a refund. After 5 messages via their system (it kept messaging my local store due to postcode and I bought from another store! The local store didnt forward on, so eventually I have to put in a different postcode). The store calls me and argues my reasons for a return (with the required timescale). No collection or refund arranged. Tried their live chat which tells you its going to cut you off soon as basically the staff are going home. You cant make this up really.

Avoid this company. I was lured in by the fact that they are a part of the Evan Halshaw Group but never again. I saw a car I wanted to buy on their website advertised as being in the Coventry store. I called up the Coventry store next morning to enquire and ended up going for the car. I was then told that the car had been moved to the Exeter branch and would need to be returned. I was slightly annoyed by this as i was wanting to travel down to coventry the same day to get the car. I was told by the end of the week I should have my car. I asked if the car could come straight from coventry to my address and was told no. But when I spoke to someone at the Exeter branch I was told this was possible, so I went back to my contact at coventry and he seemed confused? To this day I still don't understand why the car could not have just come straight from Exeter to me instead of going back to coventry?? Despite no one really knowing what was going on or having any sense of urgency on the issue, I kept calling up and kept being told the different stories by the Coventry staff. I took matters into my own hands and called the Exeter branch who later told me the car only left their branch on Saturday (bearing in mind It was Wednesday when I made the request). I was told that Monday of this week the car would be on site, ready to be delivered to me. I call up on Monday, no car... and no explanation for why this is the case. I then called up again yesterday to get an update to be once again told very minimal information. It is now over a week since I ordered the car, and no where closer to receiving it. I am honestly so shocked and appalled by the experience. I never write reviews but people need to be aware of this. First the false advertising and then the terrible customer service. I will be taking matters further. ****** UPDATE AFTER 6 MONTHS- Even more of a reason to avoid this poor company After 3 months of having this car i was on my way to the shops when my car stopped IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC. My engine light came on and the car had gone into limp mode. I contacted car store coventry where i got the car from and was told to book the car in for a check at a local dealer. Having checked over the car, I advised my contact that there was an issue with the car that needed solving despite their diagnostics machine not picking this up. I was told that unless a fault was picked up nothing could be done. A month later Same issue and then a month later once again. At this point i have now contacted my finance company to try and get in touch with car store. Not only are they ignoring them but theyre also ignoring me. Ontop of that ive taken my car in for a check today as i could hear some funny sounds and turns out theres also gearbox damage and issues with breaks which were allegedly sorted out during the service car store did before i got the care. These people are criminals sell you damaged cars and play nice until they get their money. I will be taking legal action. Honestly avoid this company.

They sold me a car without a valid V5 in fact no V5 at all. Ignored calls and letters. If I did speak to them they just lied. 3 months until this was sorted by myself not them. DONT TOUCH THEM AT ALL.

I was surprised to read the car store in Coventry doing 104 points check on the cars before they put the car for sale. Absolutely rubbish .I bought a car from there the first the dealer named Omar doesn't know if the car has Mot .Only he find out when I ask for it..Second the car failed the Mot still lying pretending he doesn't know the car failed Shame on you Mr Omar .The same day when I was driving from Coventry to London the front Radar doesn't working it took me good 6 weeks to fixing. After that the car still has problems with Abs sensor, break pads and break discs ,and air conditioning leaking. And I don't believe the Mot is legitimate for my car the way Mr Omar acted when I was talking to him on the phone. .Stay way from those people just ripping off the costumers. They are saying I am the one ta pay for break pads and break discs because I used the car to sort out there problem which after sales manager he' know about this .

I booked in at The car store coventry to get an evaluation to sell my car. When I got there I showed the online quote which was accurate based on the condition of the car. When the guy checked it over he said the car was in very good condition although it needed 2 new tyres. The tyres were included in the online quote as I disclosed this at that time. He then knocked down the price by a further £300. Be very careful as the lure you down to the shop and then expect you to take hundreds of pounds less.

Easy to buy a car, WILL NOT help if there is a problem. Do not respond to mails or return calls. Have to go in (during COVID19) to get any acknowledgement. Will not fix 4 month old car. Aweful service. Buying a car from here will cost you a fortune in the long run.

Paid a £99 deposit to reserve a car I saw online. It was a very good deal and a nice car. Over the phone the salesman was helpful. I had a slightly odd feeling about it, so paid £20 for a HPI check. I'm glad I did, the car still had outstanding finance on it. Carstore had hidden that fact and refused to tell me this. Selling a car with outstanding finance is illegal, as they do not own the car. They were happy for me to buy it and take the burden of someone else's £40,000 finance headache. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
