Car Store Chesterfield are selling cars with millage discrepancies. Financing cars which fail HPI Checks! We purchased a car from Car Store at the end of August and we noticed it has a millage discrepancy. We was told by Christopher Rattican the salesman that the millage would be corrected and this would take around a month. We was given enough confidence to purchase the car after making being re-assured that it will get sorted. The car was showing 27,000 miles but the previous MOT was 56,000 miles. 5 Months down the line after trying to return the car multiple times as the DVSA have refused to change the previous MOT which is causing the car to fail on HPI checks they are trying to charge £1,258 for usage of the vehicle. 1. After the first month of waiting for the millage to be sorted I was asked by Chris the salesman to contact the DVSA an NMR myself to try and get it resolved which I should never have been asked to do. I did this anyway to help Car Store out and I was told by the DVSA that the millage can't be sorted as the service records are not within one day of the MOT date. I passed this information onto Car Store. 2. Car Store told me yet again by Chris that they could get it sorted and the previous garage who MOT's the car was going to sort the millage issue out. After a month of hearing nothing I contacted the MOT Garage myself and they told me they had never told Car Store that they can sort the millage issue out. Yet Chris had lied to me and told me the Garage was sorting this. 3. Now getting fed up with the car I wanting to return it for good so I got in contact with the Car Store customer service team. This was around 2 after purchasing the car on finance. They got Car Store to again contact me with a different person this time called Taylor who her self again contacted the DVSA to get the exact same response that the millage can not be sorted. Refusing to let me return the car until they had a response. 4. Finally the Head of Business at Car Store Chesterfield got involved and said he can get the millage sorted on the car, after 2 months of him trying to sort the issue he finally gave me the same answer that the millage can not be sorted. 5. I now want to return the car which is what I wanted to do months ago but it kept getting dragged out longer as they kept saying they can sort the millage issue. All they have offered me is two options which are insulting and pathetic. A, £500 Good Will gesture on a £11,500 car. (Not worth this anymore due to the millage discrepancy) B, Around £3,900 back on a buy back scheme when already well over £6000 has been paid on the car. This is due to Car Store wanting to charge £1,258 for usage of the vehicle at 40p a mile. This can not be justified as if I was told from the start that the millage can not be sorted then we would have never purchased the car. And I wanted to return the car if the millage could not be sorted which I tried to do months ago but was told to wait for the DVSA response time and time again. They must have contacted the DVSA 6-7 times now. They are then trying to penalise us for using the car when they said the millage would be sorted. Not to mention that they are the ones who told us to keep waiting and using the car which has allowed them to try and charge us more for the usage of the vehicle. They are trying to profit from their own mistakes and they only have themselves to blame but are trying so hard not to take any losses on a mis-sold vehicle. Be-ware as this company just want to make quick sells of cars and then they will not care one bit when you come back to them after they have your money! I can honestly say I did not know what to expect going into this store, but I do not have a bad word to say about it. All of my needs were met to the most professional of standards with one car dealer Cameron standing out in particular. He made me feel welcome and despite not buying a car I would recommend this dealership to anyone in the area.

Went to Coventry store to look at one of their BMW which was supposed to be HPI clear. Upon arrival car wasn’t even clean and the AA report which they heavily sell on was done 6 months ago. I’ve noticed there was some paint work done recently as they left masking tape on. When I’ve asked to inspect the car on the ramp they were bringing all sort of excuses why they can’t do it. Stocky Irish manager came in with a bully boy attidtude trying to tell me he’ right and I’m wrong. Overall they only want your money that’s all.

Never buy a car from Car Store Coventry. My car has a fault three weeks after buying it and they are refusing to pay. I have been car less for three weeks and I am still under warranty. Awful customer service
* choose car carefully from the car store in coventry... lots of ex fleet and rental cars.. * money made by hard selling insurance, finance and warranty packages * very poor customer service... not interested after sale *better deals exist elsewhere * Caveat emptor... purchasers beware... do yoursekf a favour look beyond the shiny metal and plastics and buy from professional dealer... not these idiots... *nightmare from start to finish

Bought a car 2 weeks ago from the Car Store in Coventry and a week in the car had problems. issue 1 turbo boost was intermittent Issue 2 knocking noise from engine So I contacted car store and they got car in checked it out for loss of boost/power found to be a fault code I picked car up that night and took it for a road test with Cory the manager there was a slight improvement in boost I then asked The manager Cory if they had sorted the knocking noise out to a reply didn’t know anything about that so I started my car up and opened the bonnet can u hear that I said it not a natural sound And I know this as I’m a vehicle tech myself and I also had a chat with a friend at Peugeot who is a master tech and the manager Cory said we all have a mechanic m8 who knows it all said in a very sarcastic manner hmm well I’m not to happy with his attitude he just tried to par me off and tried to sell me more aa cover so I said aa cover the aa inspection they did on my car wasn’t very good as there was no water in the washers when I picked it up this manager has no customer care skills at all he said it’s acceptable for a car of it age hmm I said it’s only done 47 k and 6 yrs old so he said I’ll have a chat with my tech in the morning and get back to you hmm waited all day so I went to car store Ipswich at about 4-30 and got totally blanked by Cory for about 5 mins then he went out back got a tech tj who was very nice but Cory looked very smarmy like I’m right and your wrong so tj had a look and said it was a tensioner and belt it would be replaced under warranty great news happy me I then got put onto Jamie and he sorted the warranty side out nice lad bit of a limp hand shake but nice asked them to phone me by 3 pm next day for a progress report no call nothing so I phoned then to be passed around 18min later techs on a road test I’ll call u shortly hmm nope I had to phone again an hour later cars all done we are going to test drive it again in the morning ok great I said I’ll pick it up 2moro knocking noise gone but the customer service from Cory and the waiting time on the phone isn’t good😡

I bought my car couple weeks ago from Car Store Coventry. Till I paid for it everything was great, they take care of everything. I've been promised to get sunviser repair in one if their stores. After 10 calls and more emails they agreed that I'll do it in Seat and after they got receit I'll get my money back. I've send it couple of times and still waiting for my money. I don't recommend them.
The service that we received from the Car Store in Coventry was excellent. The staff we dealt with were Kassim, Ollie and Carly. All three were friendly, easy to approach and we didnt feel pressured to purchase with this company. Any questions we asked they were willing to answer and very helpful. We both like to thank all three and very happy with car we bought today.
