Don't touch this place with a barge pole.i bought a car mondeo sighnd for it and was told by sales girl any history and manual would be sent in the post.Supprise surprise nothing arrived was told I ticked boxes lie on form all I did was sighn nothing else they took the money like lightning but just got my answers 12 months later after chasing for email address.They keep getting in touch for service due and mot but can't give you answers they call you the lier. Please take note you could be next DONT BUY OFF THEM

Awful customer service. Had the car less than 3 months and paid for the 3 year extended warranty. The car is already broken down with an engine fault and the car store won’t cover it under their guarantee and charging a diagnostic fee on top of the repairs. Do not recommend the car store at all.
Horrible car and service. Bought a car from Carstore. Totally scam and many problems were issued with the car. The engine management light is on again and again. The stuff Aarun just keeps giving back the car to us without solving the problems and try to delay the problem until my warranty is about to expire
I am happy with the smooth sales process and the staff - Hugh from the Shrewsbury Branch is very helpful and customer-minded. 5 stars. However, for the car, there have been 3 main problems since bought , and it is still under warranty. The problems include light indicator, battery and engine. Though it has the 123 check and alleged the battery has been replaced, the battery should not have problems with charging so quickly when it is so newly bought /replaced. The servicing is fine but the staff members are not returning the call and the wait is long so either I am forced not to use the car with problem or just keep it at home plus there is no courtesy car available. Besides, separating the diagnosis and the repair/replacement step just makes things slower and worse as it makes much sense that car-owners need their car to commute daily. I just hope the staff will return my call tomorrow (Need to wait for the authorisation from Shrewsbury )and get my car book in for replacement of parts and I will see if the engine problem is 'detrimental' to the health of the car overall. I may consider returning the car as I think it is not sold in a condition that's ready and good enough for sale. Therefore, overall 1 star for the quality of the car and the service and wait (Nottingham Branch). Update: the part has not arrived since last Wednesday and I urge to get my vehicle book in first in order to be in the queue so that the work will not be dragged later. However, the staff (service.followup@pendragon.uk.com)I contacted after they responded to this review has not been able to help me schedule the time for the replacement work. I shall have to call them to try my luck tomorrow.

Just about to write a review to warn customers about our terrible ongoing experience with this dealer and notice that the review before this is having exactly the same problem. So it seems we are not on our own and it's obviously a common problem! About to start legal proceedings against this company to either get our car back working or a refund. Terrible after sales service. They bully you and intimidate you try to get you to back down. Except I'm not as I know they are liable to repair my car. Plenty of genuine dealers out there so my advice is go elsewhere.

Avoid this garage at all costs. Full of false promises and horrendous after sales care refusing to do repairs under warranty and now needing to seek legal advice!!

Awful, brought a car in aug 2022 and its took a year to finally get the car taken back from the ombudsman. Lies, and lies broken car! The whole experience was just horrendous from buying the car and car was returned after 2 hours Refused my right to refused in the 1st 14 days!!!
We bought a car and bought it back the same day (2 hours later) as we noticed three chips in the windscreen. We were told by the member of staff at reception that they will be able to fix this for us and a manager would be in touch. After chasing for 1 week, 4 phone calls later we have finally received a call back to say that they will not fix this as it is not covered by warranty and "it could have happened at any time". I can assure you that it did not happen in the 2 hours after we drove the car away and was not noticeable until we could see it whilst driving the car in the daylight. I am disgusted in the "customer service" that we have been provided, firstly having to wait and chase for this long to be told that it is not their responsibility. I do not like to be accused of lying as this is not the case. Customer aftercare has been an absolute shambles and we are extremely disappointed. I expect responsibility to be taken by the Car Shop. As an additional comment, the pressure that is put on you to buy additional products and the business manager that dealt with the sale was extremely un-friendly and rude. I would expect a lot more from a company owned by the Sytner Group. Overall, my customer journey has been awful. I highly do not recommend a purchase from this company.

We visited the Nottingham site to look for a first car for my son. We were accosted the minute we walked in and even though we explained we were only looking we were given the hard sell. We were shown cars that were for 4 people not 5 as we'd asked, told sat nav is a waste of time and 3 doored cars are more expensive than 5 doors. She also pushed us to make another appointment to buy even though we'd explained that we had only just stared looking. The fact that this group is part of Sytner group was also mentioned about 10 times. We've bought cars from Sytner in the past and never been treated as badly as this (hold your heads in shame Sytner for being associated with these people) Eventually I'd had enough so told her that she was quite pushy and rude. That didn't go down well... Eventually we were allowed to have a look at the cars and they weren't great so we left deciding never to go back there again!!
I have purchased my 2nd car on the 22nd September 2021at the CarStore in Chilwell, Nottingham. The first was when I passed my test in 2017 and nervously I didn't know where to go? or what car to buy? but after popping into Carstore I viewed so many cars and was still confused, the staff then were friendly, polite and not 'pushy' They allowed me to take my time and I was able to test drive two cars, the first one I didn't like but the second I fell in love with! So when it was time to upgrade my then car as the PCP was coming to an end I decided to go back to the Carstore and I'm glad I did! Lauren was the first friendly face that I saw and she was lovely and extremely helpful, allowing me to look inside and sit in a few cars and arranged for me to have a test drive of an automatic car which I was nervous about but fell in love with! Shane Wilson was the more experienced Salesperson who navigated me through the car buying process and he was so helpful. personable and funny...don't tell him that! I was really pleased and he went through the details which kind be mind boggling but he didn't rush me. The Manager Andy also introduced himself and he was friendly too...nothing was too much trouble for the team. When I returned to pick up my car I met another member of the team called Andrulla who helped me sort out the media for my car...Thanks Andrulla you're a 'sweetie!' I am extremely pleased with my second car and am loving the automatic driving experience. Thank you again Carstore a brilliant positive experience.

Unless you like being lied to, fobbed off and treated like a fool then avoid this place like the plague. I consider myself lucky to have walked away rather than put my hard earned money, trust and faith in this absolutely shambolic dealership. As with all charlatans, it started out well enough and I found the non-overly sales approach and laid back style refreshing. How wrong I was - it was the first red flag in a very long list of things that just wasn't quite right. When I first opened the car door I noticed an awful smell and heavy staining on the passenger seat which seemed odd for a car advertised for sale but I didn't think much of it and was promised it would be fully valeted. I've since discovered one of the Crew Members has been using it whilst advertised for sale - little wonder it was parked right next to the entrance and much closer than the customer parking (there's a second red flag!) After paying a deposit the following day I then had to ring them 8 hours later for confirmation it had been received. How unprofessional and not even so much as a thank you for my custom! I finally received an email confirming receipt of payment and the work to be carried out on the vehicle prior to collection. A lame excuse claiming to be busy was given yet both times I have visited the centre there have been more staff than customers and I now know that's with good reason! I called the following day to confirm the service history and was advised accordingly. As everything seemed to be progressing smoothly I made the necessary arrangements to move finances and amend insurance which naturally incurred costs which I was happy to absorb with the anticipation of getting a new car. On the day of the sale I received a call from a 'Private Number' (hello third red flag) from the 'Crew Leader' facilitating the sale and he confirmed everything was in order. I asked if the car had two keys, he confirmed it did, and we arranged a time to complete the transaction. Upon arrival at the garage (some 40 miles away) I was told the integrated sat nav had been disabled (impossible as it is a feature of even the most basic model of this type of car and is advertised as such) and that a key was missing. After raising the issue with the 'Business Manager' he asked if those things were magically fixed (how convenient) would I still buy the car? Not on your nelly! Within 2 hours of me walking away the car was showing as being unavailable online. Coincidence? I think not! And I'd put good money on the fact it was sold with a fully working integrated sat nav and 2 keys. I now have no doubt that this vehicle was promised to another (possibly the Crew Member already driving it) and by putting a deposit down first, I had inadvertently disrupted the plan so they lied and cheated me out of the car in order to sell it to another. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and shame on all involved! The only slight positive is that the deposit I paid was refunded without question in a timely manner, however, I'm yet to decide whether to persue the matter further with the motoring ombudsman and small claims court. It is unacceptable to operate in such an unprofessional and unethical way in 2021. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. You have been warned!
