This shop doesn't have the customer in its best interest in mind. I was very close to purchasing a car from here. There are cars with issues at this store which their mechanics cannot fix, or they refuse to fix. The alternator needed replacing on one of their cars, but the "smell from the engine is normal". The brake pads were below legal limit but not changed until prompted (they passed an MOT with them). They also don't use the manufacturers recommended replacement part intervals, leaving cars at risk of damage with cars failing just after purchase. Manager argumentative and doesn't care about "your opinion". Happy with you taking away a faulty car. I didn't want to leave this review, but the manager made me feel it was necessary by the way he spoke to me. Proved other reviews right. Don't shop here. Read other reviews and ask other garages their opinion on this store and make your mind up. Buy cheap... Buy twice.

What a nightmare. My new car wasn't ready when they said it would be ready.
Bought a Ford b max in October 2022, firstly it arrived with no parcel shelf (I was told by the after sales team that it wasn't advertised as coming with one. Every other person I have spoken to including many other motor sales companies have said this is ridiculous as its part of the car) within a week of receiving the car I was having tire sensor light issues and juddering (automatic car) with the gear change. I reported it straight away and was advised they would arrange a diagnostic. I finally got a diagnostic which I had to drive half an hour to the nearest Ford garage for (using my own petrol and taking a day off work) they sent the quote to car store... Nothing. Cut to new years eve my car starts failing to change gears. I had to drive back from Manchester to Harrogate area with a faulty gearbox doing 50 the whole way with a 10 month old in the car. Finally they picked the car up the first week of January. I was left for a while without a car as they struggled to arrange a courtesy car. It is now the 4th April and I do not have my car back. I've had so little correspondence with updates its unreal. Each update I have had to chase for. I've now asked for a full refund and I've been refused. Avoid this company like the plague. Absolutely ridiculous and incompetent

This is my 2nd review since buying a car from Car store Shrewsbury. Bought car & was delivered 22/11/22. 3 weeks & 288 miles later gear’s went. Took 3 weeks, costing me extra and a huge battle but was eventually fixed. Roll on 3 weeks and total of 390 miles driven in the 10 weeks I had the car: Car loss of power again, drivers electric window won’t work and red engine warning light comes up so another fault. Called 4.05pm 27/1/23 was told someone would call me back in 5 minutes. 5.25pm I called again as no one called back. Told nothing they could do until Monday 30/1/23 but someone would call one of 4 nearby dealerships and arrange to get booked in. Eventually called at 2pm Monday but they hadn’t spoken to local dealerships and nothing had been arranged. Considering its the second fault in such a short time they don’t seem that bothered. I informed them I spoke with citizens advice who confirmed under the statutory Consumer Protection Act, as it’s the 2nd fault I have a final right to reject the car with a full refund plus extra expenses I have incurred. I informed Car store I would be open to discussion before I made my final decision on whether to reject and he told me he would pass this onto the sales team and someone would get back to me. No one has been in touch again so I am now in the process to formally request a final rejection of the car due to it being of unsatisfactory quality and unfit for purpose. They have been more concerned with the last negative but factual review I did than improving their service. The only contact they have made this week is to confirm they have my complaint and someone will be in touch. I think they are trying to drag this out in the hope I will go away and give up but until this is resolved I will not! On doing research this seems to be standard practice of the whole company who seem to think that Statutory consumer law doesn’t apply to them. I also hope they realise that as the fault has been logged, my 3 month guarantee won’t run out as the clock stops while they are apparently “investigating “ which is also law to stop companies like this from dragging it out with underhanded tactics.

Not even had the car a year and I’ve never had so many issues with one car. I rang and complained about a knocking sound each time I reversed and braked. I took it to them to repair and I got told they had test driven my car and fixed the issue. I got told it was going to cost me £350 to get it sorted and that I could spread the payments over the next 6 couple months which I agreed. I picked my car back up and a day later it was still making a knocking sound. I had to take my car back a further 3 times for them to say they can’t work out what is wrong and that I needed new back tyres that were going to cost me over £100. I therefore took my car to a local garage where they fitted me two new tyres for £80 altogether. I also asked my local garage to see if they could look into what was causing the knocking sound in which they confirmed I should never have been charged £350 for as it was quick fix which would of cost me £120 max. I’m still having to pay monthly instalments back to car store to pay off the £350 for a service they never fixed for me. I will never be purchasing or using there services again.

Made an initial enquiry and hooked up with Wayne. Start ti finish and over several hurdles along the way Wayne was on the ball. Listened to all my concerns, addressed them and all was smooth sailing. Highly recommend the dealership and certainly recommend Wayne who I'm sure will soon have his own branch.
Bought our new car today from Car Store, very happy with the service Lee gave us, he was professional, patient and knowledgeable. Can’t praise him enough, he gave us plenty of time to make our minds up without pushing us, even though we were very undecided on many things. I would definitely recommend them and would buy from them in the future….. thanks to Lee.
