A big thank you to Joe and Mathew, especially Joe who guided me through the process of buying a car. There were no pushy sales tactics, otherwise I would have immediately lost interest and walked away. I had a couple of concerns about the car I was interested in, which were addressed and negotiated fairly. When I asked for time to collect my thoughts, I was not pressurised into making an immediate decision, but given the respect and courtesy to go away and think about it. This earned my trust and respect in Joe. Joe has a great personality, very thoughtful, knowledgeable, and professional, and from beginning to end, did not try to push me into buying something I did not want. An excellent experience, and would definitely buy from Car Store York again.

Purchase of car went very smoothly, very satisfied with service and state of car. Joe and Mathew were very helpful. No sales pressure as usually found would certainly buy from the Cara Store in York again.

Bought a car from the Car Store York with the help of HASAN, JOSH AND HANNAH. Throughout the process, all three were exceedingly helpful, thoughtful and considerate, never once trying to push me into buying or doing something I did not want to do, I am delighted with the vehicle I bought and cannot recommend the branch or the above three members of staff enough. Everything I asked was dealt with professionally, amicably and highly efficiently; I have never before felt so relaxed or secure when buying a car. Visited the Car Store York Site, was there a while. Very friendly staff. One person stood out for me was LEWIS.... He was extremely friendly and patient with me even when I was asking lots of questions. I would recommend taking a visit.....

Went to look at a car brought in from Leicester - and bought it. Nice salesman (Tim) - professional, clean shaven and knew how to pull his trousers up properly! Went through everything methodically and politely. Took our scruffy old car in part-ex without a fuss. Quick test drive which was good. Only downside was that we went away with car running on fumes. Could at least have put some petrol in. That said we love the car and price was ok. An easy no-nonsense transaction. Would recommend Car Store in York.
Worst experience of the 3 bad ones I've now had with Evan's Halshaw/Car store............never again!
Purchased a car from the Car Store York around 10 weeks ago.. the car was meant to of had a service and checks before it was delivered to the York store.. when I went to collect it was all smashed in and damaged at the front.. despite apparently being valeted how they didnt notice? Then service light came on.. clearly hadn't been done, and now I still havent received my log book! Very poor!!! i do not recommend this garage! I shouldnt of had to visit the garage 15 times in one Month because of problems and feel very annoyed.
