Awful after sales. Issues identified with car within first week not rectified. No communication. No help. No call-backs. Struggling to even give the car back and get my money back. My next step is to camp out at the office as a last resort.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Carworld Superstore in Peterborough, a dealership that not only lacks integrity but has clearly discarded the essence of customer service. I reserved a car that seemed to meet all my requirements. It came complete with a 5th alloy wheel, inflation kit, and essential tools all neatly packed in the boot. However, this initial joy and satisfaction quickly descended into a pit of frustration and disappointment. On the day of pick-up, after a laborious process of paper filling and gaining approvals from the finance company, I was eager to transfer my belongings from my trade-in car into my new acquisition. To my shock and disbelief, everything that was initially in the boot was missing! Stuart, the finance manager, epitomized rudeness and arrogance. Instead of addressing the issue with professionalism and courtesy, he was argumentative and dismissive. His pushy demeanour left us with two options - endure the missing items or revert the entire process, an ordeal that would consume another chunk of our valuable time. Reluctantly, we accepted the car. However, our woes were far from over. Merely two weeks later, the car broke down. The stress and disappointment boiled over, and I requested a full refund and the return of my old car which had gone into trade-in. My shock intensified when I discovered my old car listed on their website for sale. However, upon my request to have it back, it magically disappeared from the website, and I was informed it had been sent to an auction. I was plunged into days of tears and stress, a traumatic experience I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. After incessant pushing and immense emotional turmoil, they refunded the money, a painful £3000 less than what they had listed my old car for on their website. This financial loss, coupled with the atrocious service and blatant lies, made this experience a nightmare. A month later, the refund finally reflected with the finance company. I was left carless, betrayed, and emotionally drained. As a piercing blow to my ordeal, my old car mysteriously reappeared on their website for sale – a stark testimony to the dishonesty rife within Carworld Superstore. I pen this review as a warning to others who may be lured by the superficial charm of Carworld Superstore in Peterborough. Beneath the shiny exterior lies a den of deceit, unprofessionalism, and utter disregard for the valued customer. I have lost an immense amount of tears, energy, and faith in humanity trying to reclaim what's rightfully mine. Carworld Superstore, you’ve not only lost a customer but earned an advocate for the stark warning against stepping a foot in your establishment. Shame on you!

DO NOT BUY !!!! Bought a car with 3 months warranty, kept taking the car back because from the day I collected the car there was a noise. 3 months saying they couldn’t find anything wrong with the car, they changed the few things in the car and the issue was still there. Decided to pay for a report/ diagnostic with a mechanic chosen by me. What a surprise and the shock to know that the car had damages that would have being done before the purchase and those damage would have being made in a car accident. They now saying that they won’t give us the money back ( expensive car, paid all in cash) and I am taking legal action and going to the local papers to tell what they do to people. We also found out that we are not the only ones in this situation DO NOT BUY !!! You’ll regret it, they are untrustworthy!

I have had a very similar experience with this company and now they won’t give my money back. My car shouldn’t have passed MOT, they lie and lie and lie. I hope you have reported them to Trading Standards
I saw a car I liked on auto trader, however there were limited videos/pictures on there so requested some more. They advised they could not send these without paying a deposit of £100, which I paid. 8/9 days later I still had no additional pictures/videos. They had assured the reason it had taken so long was because it was in the workshop ‘being minted up’. After contacting them everyday and threatening to pull out, they sent them- the pictures looked ok, due to personal circumstances we had to have the car delivered. It arrived 1.5hours later than the advised time and was starting to get dark. The car arrived with a door handle clip missing, which they said they would post out- but since receiving the car the team have been avoidant of our calls/emails made to them. Clips in the boot liner are broken and the reversing camera does not work which makes me think they knew about this. I would avoid using this company completely, the customer service is shocking.

I've had the exact same issues, paid £200 deposit, car delivered at night, my wife took it out on a test drive and loved it, However in the cold light of day: Stereo didnt function BMW iDrive didnt function Reverse parking sensors didnt function We have been trying to get our money back for 4months now, how do i proceed? I have left 2 reviews about this place before and will keep on leaving them bad reviews to warn others NOT TO BUY from here. I bought my car in May 2022 and wanted to return in within a week due to faults but was refused ever since its been in and out from repair for longer than in my possession. Recently been for repaid for the 4th time (I live in Reading so takes over 2 hr drive) they had it for over 3 weeks, I picked it up put fuel in and didn't even get to the motor way and engine lights started coming up, not even 10 min after pick up!! Went back and now its in for repair again. This company is ridiculous and refuse your basic consumer rights AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Avoid Avoid Avoid. Picked up an Astra (WG18 YJS) around October. Finance sorted. 2.5 hour trip each way, done. …or so I thought. Will start with the good. The car was polished. Annnnnnd, now for the bad. Vauxhall Astra, 2018. Supposedly after the LSPI issue had been rectified, automatic too so wasn’t overly concerned. First issue on picking it up was that I couldn’t tax it immediately as it was registered disability tax. Fine. Can fix that (…they should have fixed it, but anyway…). Drove home steadily and carefully as it was new to me. Made it back to Kent ok. Drove to work. Limp mode. 13400 miles on it and around 150 miles of my use approx and I’ve got a £13000 dead car on my hands. After sales support is abysmal. No care whatsoever. Last time I saw that much dead weight it was a whale on a beach. Which later exploded. Sadly, I imagine that these people will cling to their seedy little jobs for all they are worth - god knows nobody else would be crazy enough to employ them. Finally now 4 months later seen that the finance is returned and my nightmare is over. However, WG18 YJS has made a miraculously quick appearance on the sale page again. It’s likely this engine needs complete replacement. If anyone out there is thinking about either using Car World or planning to buy WG18 YJS please, I implore you, think again. This car will be nothing but a headache for you, and Kaz and Saleem are about as much use as a limp widge in a condom. AVOID.

so much to say but il keep it short. Purchased the car with 12 months MOT. Few days later engine management light came on. a garage said turbo issue. after a full check of the car. 13 faults found. 5 being MOT failures. i think that's enough said about this company. personally i would not buy anything from them again.

Absolute horrific experience from start to finish (although it doesn’t appear to be over as yet). 1st visit: despite a 4 hour round trip , being assured the car would be ready and leaving a £100 deposit the car was not, in fact, ready. I waited over 2 hours in a boiling hot hanger-type building, 7 months pregnant, without even being informed of what was going on, so I left. Steve, Branch Manager, called me to smooth things over and offer me a better deal on the part ex. 2nd visit - I returned and was able to test drive the car. Was at the dealership over 4 hours this time, due to finance taking forever (no issues my side, for clarity, and no indication of what the hold up was). Luckily, although 7 months pregnant still, the heat was bearable. I had my car for 5 days before 2 warning lights appeared. I spoke to the Aftersales Manager, Saleem, who was very defensive, inflexible and rude. Long story short, the workshop ended up keeping my car for over a month with ZERO communication. I called every couple of days, but never got call backs. I emailed in excess of 30 times, but never received replies. Funnily enough, even though it was marked for the attention of the aforementioned Branch Manager, Steve, I never heard back. Perhaps, once the sale had been made, the customer is of greatly diminished importance. When I did speak to Saleem, he continued to be rude and dismissive. I did not receive a report on the work carried out on the car and, despite chasing, have received no communication. I am due to give birth any day, and don’t really need the stress, so having to pass it on to the finance company to chase on my behalf. An absolutely abysmal experience and I wish I had never dealt with them. Horrible people.

We booked to view VU18 LFB, a navy blue Audi A6 Avant. We paid £99 some days beforehand in order to secure the viewing; in various 'phone calls nobody told us that the car had bodywork damage. When we arrived and walked towards the car, it was immediately obvious that the vehicle had been in a collision with either a bollard (scraping along the nearside front wing and door) or another car had scraped along it. Either way, an attempt had been made to polish out the damage but the bodywork was dimpled the damage plain to see. We definitely weren't going to pay £18k + for a damaged vehicle and the lack of transparency meant we wanted to escape ASAP. I would never but a vehicle from Car World. The sales person said 'oh we can arrange for that to be repaired for you' but reviews read beforehand meant that we felt this would never happen, so we declined and left. They didn't offer to knock off any money! Car World did refund the £99 reservation fee pretty quickly (on the next working day) but said they couldn't refund it there and then on the Saturday - I bet they would have found a way to take payment of £18k from us at the weekend though! Funny that.
