I spent a long time looking for my car and specific model and was really happy when i found it for sale at this branch; because i wanted this model soo much i overlooked the bad salesman and minor issues with the car. In my view the car appeared to have just been flipped over, in that it had been cleaned and ‘made road legal’ for a quick sale and not thoroughly inspected as made out on the web by the RAC. I bought the car on the strength of the service history, although this didn’t come in the form of a service book but a printout from Seat. This didn’t tell me which types of services it had but they were all there and regular, all from Seat so i had some faith. The salesman told me that the tyres were run flats but they weren’t, they provided a run flat repair kit which was for a 14” tyre and not the 18” on the car itself. There were buttons and switches missing that were not highlighted to me even though the vehicle had apparently been checked by the service department prior to the test drive and on the test drive i noticed that when i took the vehicle to 70mph the steering wheel juddered. I pointed these issues out and i was told that after the sale the parts would be ordered and the steering issue sorted within a couple of weeks. So now since the end of April i have received the parts at my home address but have not been able to get these fitted as Carworld don’t get back to me, each time i call my message is ‘passed on’ to the relevant person but they never call back. I have had to sort out my steering issue which Kwik Fit told me the new fitted tyres had not been balanced and steering not tracked which goes to show that they really just ‘polish’ the cars for a quick sale but they don’t really thoroughly check the vehicles they sell. To date as i said i have been lucky that the vehicle was originally sound and so its still running well. Lastly about the salesman, I wasn’t pressurised into buying the vehicle just like it says online however i did try and get some money off due to the issues with the car and if they did any emergency services discounts however he said ‘no, take it or leave it’. I took it but also had to endure his story of why he was selling cars at his age which was to pay for a divorce and that he had been previously arrested for drink driving; this is just stuff someone doesn’t want to know when buying a car.

Carworld Peterborough sales rep told lies about the breakdown a car I had reserved and still waiting 3weeks later for a refund.
Would not recommend these . Misleading information. Purchased a car , was told that it would be due a small service soon after the purchase , only to find out that it needed a major service (to keep up with the FSH) ! Good job we purchased the extended warranty too because approximately 6 weeks after the purchase engine management light coming on .
I recently purchased a Peugoet 3008 (AE67 SXU) for £16,400. The buying process was faultless. However the two weeks following were painful. Within 48 hours i had noticed an engine noise & within 5 days the engine managment light had come on- a local garage found a nox sensor fault & a whistling noise. Car world initially collected the car for investigation & did kindly replace the sensor but then proceeded to spend two weeks belittling me, telling me the noise was normal. They later said they couldn't hear a noise & suggested the local garage was misunderstood. Eventually the car went to the Peugeot specialists who required 4 hours diagnostic time to confirm the the fault (rattling clamp on turbo). Car world were not willing to pay Peugoet & abruptly informed me I had no option but to choose another car or have my money back. They advised the car was being returned to suppliers but I can see it is for sale again!! Once return was agreed & I travelled 50 miles out of my way to return keys etc it took FIVE days to get my money back! They failed to return my call, would respond after 5pm when they had "missed payment cut off". On my final contact with Ian, the Aftersales Manager, I was very tearful & explained i was disappointed Carworld had not even offered an apology to which he replied he did not think he had anything to apologise for!! The worst customer service I have ever recieved. Beware of faulty cars they aren't willing to fix and beware of difficulties in obtaining a refund in the event things do not go smoothly. I would NOT recommend Carwolrd Peterborough to anyone!
