Having got off on the wrong foot, Booked in for a Test Drive on a Sunday and they had me down the day before and a completely different time didn't start well as well as being informed we tried to contact you blah blah. The car i had driven to see was out on a test ride. When the car came back only viewed it on the forecourt then went to have a look at another Car to keep that appointment, Steve, head of sales contacted me full of apologies and offered to sweeten the deal because of their incompetence if i bought the car from them. Anyway long story short i bought the car no issues with it, they kept to their word and it was around £2k less than similar cars.

There’s no word to describe how bad is the car world. Would never buy a car from there again and I would not recommend anybody to go and buy a car. Never received reports from the repairs, God knows what they are hiding. Selling faulty cars!

That was one of our issues too. We asked several times for the reports of work carried out. But they never gave us any. .They had our car nearly 2 months over a 6 month period. Awful company
Hi bought a car from Car World Peterborough on 4th of February 2019 viewed car and saw a few problems ie paint and alloys was told everything would be done before collection but the alloys were not very good I've been back now 4 times before they have been sorted the service team were good polite and helpful but the sales manager just ignores me when I ask to talk to him and does not ring me back.so my rating is based on the sales department.

From first arriving at Car World i could tell i had made the right choice . I was met by maggie a very lovely lady who went above and beyond for me .she is a true professional and made the prosses so easy . I will always return to carworld the best in Peterborough!

Brought a Volkswagen Polo on finance 3 months ago from Car World Peterborough and not had a problem with the car since. Extremely good service and help you find the car you want that will fit your budget.

£9300 on a car from Car World Peterborough, the day i pick it up the glow plug fails. less than a year later, another glow plug fails, inter cooler leaks, thermostat breaks, header tank and cap replaced, constantly goes into limp mode and now losing coolant internally somewhere, believed to be the fuel system. I have never had so many faults with a car. Sales team and service were polite and helpful, sadly the worst VW Golf i have ever owned and probably why the last person got rid of it. Still not fixed and the problems are mounting.

I bought a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso from CarWorld Peterborough. The attention and service I received when looking to buy was excellent. Everything up to taking the car away went very smoothly and they were very helpful and attentive. As soon as I had bought the car and had a problem though.... The clutch on my automatic (yes automatic cars have a clutch) failed after 4000 miles. I contacted Car World under the consumer rights act 2015 as I’d had the vehicle less than 6 months but they refused to respond. I phoned and spoke to Zed (what a wonderful person he is- read other reviews) and got a flat out denial that they were liable as it would be classed as wear and tear. Zed said I should have taken out their warranty (yeah of course!) Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 it is up to the dealer to prove they sold the vehicle without any faults if they appear within the first 6 months. Zed said they perform pre sale checks - I’m not sure how they can check the state of a clutch though? Long story shortened: I needed my vehicle as my child had to go into hospital 35 miles away for heart surgery. As I couldn’t get a response from Car World, reluctantly, I got the vehicle repaired at the Citroen dealer and Car World refused liability as the repairs were unauthorised. This is despite me attempting to get a response and explaining my situation in correspondence to them. My advice to anyone looking to buy a vehicle from these shysters - is don’t!!

i bought a Volvo XC90 from these cowboys (£14000) and on collecting the car pointed out it had no fuel, I mean none whatsoever. Oh says Zed we don’t put fuel in cars. I said surely even £20 to take the light out. Nope. I was told to go to garage up by pass which I did and it cut out luckily on arrival at filling station. Once refuelled It reluctantly started and I made my way 400 miles home.. however I only got 15 miles and the drivers wiper blade fell to pieces. I called garage but ZED never returned my call. This was a car MOTd by themselves that morning!!!! . The car went into limp mode on way home and service light came on. I eventually got home. Took to my own garage when I got home and they condemned the car mechanically. Front tyre through to wire and one rear tyre had been run flat, so I had to put 2 new tyres on it. It’s a long story but I never ever got the car to run properly as it kept going into limp mode and usually when pulling out of junctions or roundabouts. It was quite dangerous and my wife refused to drive it. After weeks my local garage was unsuccessful in repairing the fault I got AA report and main VoLvo dealership report. Volvo said the vehicle was needing a gearbox or an ECU or both .... cost about £10000. The vehicle mileage was also dubious and it strangely had more miles on the MOTs than when I picked it up. I was forced to contact the motor financial ombudsman who agreed I’d been sold a car with major faults from the outset, and agreed with my AA and Volvo reports. Carworld never ever called me back, and I was forced to sell the vehicle with its faults for £7500. I was absolutely gutted. However, I was fortunate as I had paid a deposit by “CREDIT CARD” I got onto my card provider who was then duty bound to refund the whole car price less what I sold volvo for.... so I didn’t end up much out of pocket. REMEMBER ...if you do buy a heap from this lot ( run by Pakistanis.... say no more) always always pay at least £100 by credit card... as you’ll sure need their help soon after, oh yes 🤔🙈
