Very Poor Service First the Good point. I bought a car on Sunday 15 Sep 24, it failed on Wednesday 18 Sep 24. In fairness to CARBASE they accepted the return and swapped me in to a different car with the same spec within 24 Hrs. Now the bad points. Don't ever think your business is important to them, they are very poor in returning calls, polite to your face but have no interest in you as a buyer. Was told i was getting the paint protection service for free, however on looking at the final invoice and finance documents i have been charged £349 for it. Also on checking the same invoice i have been charged another £349 to be member of an owners club that i have no knowledge of! Over all i would never think of returning to Carbase and if you are be very careful in checking what you are signing fo

Carbase - I know you’ll respond to this claiming you’ll reach out to me, but you won’t. You have my number. You have my email. Do the right thing and deal with this issue, please. I bought a car from Carbase on 14/06/2024 and I was promised by the salesman (John Murch) that the car was well looked after and in perfect condition. I was told the car had recently had a full service and MOT before purchasing. By 15/07/2024 (31 days later) the car had broken down. I’m writing this review on 16/09/2024 and my car still isn’t fixed. In fact, a second major fault was identified on 06/09/2024 by the mechanic. Not only did the gearbox fail, but it looks like the timing belt did too. Over the past 2 months, I have tried to call Carbase over 60 times - including 30 times in one day - to get an update on my car. Not once has someone picked up the phone, despite pledging a high level of after sales service as part of the ‘members club’. I also visited their showroom to chase an update in-person and was palmed off to their garage up the road. Unsurprisingly, their garage had no official paperwork for where my car was or what was going on with it. In the end, I tracked my car to a different mechanic, who has had to communicate with me because Carbase are incapable of doing so. I sent an official complaint to Carbase citing The Consumer Rights Act 2015 on 06/09/2024. So far no one has responded despite me chasing everyday. I have called them on multiple times and they still do not respond.

Purchased vehicle in May 600 miles later had to change rear brake discs and pads. Informed their quality control and made a complaint No reply from car base All I wanted was an explanation. Carol Knight

When you think of used car sales people as a stereo experience that you’d rather avoid, CarBase are the essence of where that dread comes from. The car was good value online. However they advertised the car as having additional extras which it didn’t have. I gave this feedback at point of sale and they said I just needed a different phone cable and it would. When it didn’t, I tried to get them to add it and they refused. For the cost of £150 on a 20k car they decided to choose the route of having another negative buyer experience. I also found an issue with the boot, which they said they would pay for and now will not respond to me. Avoid if you can get away with it and choose a more reputable dealership.

AVOID !!! Call centre has no clue what are they selling and misleading customers. Rang the dealership 3 times to make sure we have checked all details prior to 6 hours travel both ways. We were told the car is ready to go and discussed p/x. On arrival the car was not prepped (not even cleaned). Dirty, scratched, smelly and in very poor state with scratched window (reg 2019). Photos have been altered to remove all the marks and damage to the vehicle. The state of the cars at the dealership were in very poor condition, dirty and non existent customer service. I would definitely NOT recommend. Waste of time and petrol.

Avoid at all cost!!! I purchased a vehicle in February 2024 in Bristol branch. Not only I was kept there for 9 hours, but I was also mis sold a warranty that I didn't need. The sales person lied to me saying that the Kia I have purchased has a 3 year warranty and tricked me into purchasing extended warranty that I didn't need, as I am covered with Kia for 7 years!!! Absolutely outrages. He also added other warranties to my finance that I didn't consent to, like paint and upholstery worth £349 and also charged me £250 for their members club, without my consent. These people are fraudsters!!!! They are now refusing to remove this from my finance!! Avoid at all cost. Horrible experience. Once they take your money that's it. There is no post sale customer support. The manager is absolutely useless, unreachable and unhelpful. The complaints are not being sorted. Horrible people.

I'm now on my third Carbase car and until now I've always been pleased with the service I've received. I've just changed my car and the replacement has some minor issues which I am trying to report to their after sales or auto center but alas this is proving to be impossible. I phone the number given and they just done answer. How long are you supposed to wait on hold? I've waited for 45 minutes or more on several occasions only to hang up and instantly receive a text message. I've even responded to the text message for which I had a few responses telling me they'd logged the issue and would contact me but that's now all stopped too. I'm not even sure the phone number they give for their auto center or after sales is manned as it goes straight to recorded messages without even ringing. I've now tried to book an appointment online and also filled a complaints form in so lets see where this goes.

All the people I dealt with were very helpful and not pushy at all. Everyone explained the process clearly and asked if I had questions. However, it was towards the end of a tiring day and I did feel a bit rushed . There was a lot of paperwork to get through and lots of information to process about my totally new car. Also, I understand that the salesmen ( and it was men) have to try to sell the extra cover available but I didn’t want it and still had to sit through the spiel.
