Don’t even no where to start 🙈 I purchased a bmw series 2 convertible only had it a week and noticed I was smelling a strong smell of petrol and was even worse when I put the aircon on. Phoned them up and told them they did come and get the car from me to have a look but in the meantime I had no car for a week while it was getting fixed the fuel injector had gone and needed replacing. Received the car back and within 3 days of having it back I noticed the car would shudder every now and then this wasn’t right so I phoned them back up to let them know all Chris said was not sure what that could be keep an eye on it. A week later went to go out in the car and when I started it up the engine was very loud and didn’t sound right, drove up the road and noticed I was seeing puffs of smoke coming from the engine and the a drivetrain warning sign came up on the dash which means there’s something up with the transmission or the engine we later went on to find out it was the head gasket was absolutely fuming. Had to send the car back gutted as it was a beautiful car and got my money back which took a long time to sort it out and in the meantime I’ve gone a whole month without a car and having to pay public transport to get to work. Chris was not helpful at all and even tried to say I was at fault because I was driving around in the car with no water and coolant in the car 🤬 aload of rubbish never had no warning lights come on to say they were low and I only had the car a month why wasn’t all this checked before I drove away with the car also if Chris had investigated when I said they car was shuddering it might not of even come to this. A very stressful time with 2 children off school and no car hopfully now I can move on and find a reliable car.

Worst dealership i've used. Car broke down multiple times, no help from dealership despite clearly knowing the car had problems. Didn't help at all and i'm out of pocket financially. Deserve to go under. Awful experience - Avoid this dealership.

I've got a Mercedes e250 CDI estate from Car Connect UK and at the begining when I ask about warranty etc they told me 6 months warranty parts and labour and 1 year free breakdown cover. In the day that I've got the car and we sign all the paperwork the told me that the computer is not working and they give me an example of the warranty paper telling that the good one with all agreed is coming thru post. I wait 3 months and never come that original warranty. In the one that they give me is no breakdown cover and labour 70 £ per hour. I've send them an email one month and a half ago and no answer. They treat people nice before buying the car and after ...... Usual for a one star car dealer

I wouldn't like to speculate on Chris and his team at CarConnect UK, so I'll give the facts about my experience and you can make your own mind. Bought a lovely A3 1.8 from them. Right price, they had it MOT'd and did an oil service on the car before my collection. Perfect. Three days into ownership I had the 'Check Engine Oil' light come on on the motorway. As soon as I could pulled over and let it sit for 15 mins. Dip stick was at the bottom. Topped it up and got home. Checked under the car, it was leaking oil (just had oil service), removed the plastic cover on top of the engine, the top of the block was swimming in oil. The leak under the car was tiny, and looked like something coming from around the sump. Car Connect offered to sort the leak out. Being as it looked like the plug, and they are a two hour drive away, we agreed at my cost to get my local garage to investigate. I had a new Plug and seal put on the car. Meanwhile, the Oil level was constantly dropping, and the back of the car covered in black oily flecks. I believe the car was consuming oil, and suffering from the consumption problem quite widely documented on that engine, unrelated to the leak. I thought I had resolved the leak, so we agreed to get Audi to do a consumption test on the car and take it from there. At this stage I had had two weeks of worrying about the car, and the alarming feeling you get when you find something wrong with a new purchase.. The leak was still present in the sump area a day after the replacement of the seal. Obviously I can't get a consumption test done whilst it has a leak, it could blow any chance of Audi picking up the bill. My garage thought the sump pan must have a hairline, or be porous, and as such it would be more costly. I took the car back to Car Connect to have a sump pan fitted to the car. They agreed to sort this and I was grateful. Incidentally the oil hadn't reappeared at the top of the engine, so this was either a careless mechanic, or somebody had topped up the oil and spilt it. Neither were reassuring all things considered. Two days later they told me the sump pan was fine, and that they had replaced the sump plug seal as it was knackered. (My garage are super trustworthy I've used them for years, they wouldn't have lied to me). I asked them before I make the journey to collect the car to check underneath that there is no oil dripping. The owners response was to offer me the option of a refund. He either wanted out of it, or saw me as a worried costumer (which I was), and it was too much. It was a huge shame, but this was an opportunity to end this and start looking again. We kept the deal open, while they kept the car and they had it booked in at Audi for a consumption test. If the outcome was that there was the fault, and it would get sorted, I thought I would stay in the picture. Fast forward to the day it was booked in at Audi. The CC owner called me and asked how much I'd topped up the oil? I let him know it used about 1 3/4 litres over nearly a thousand miles. He said, that's funny, because, the Audi technician said the car was OVER filled, by about a litre and a half. It's my understanding that you can't over fill an engine by that much without doing serious damage, and also I KNOW that when the car went back to them, the oil was no higher than the top of the midway 'dappled' line on the dip stick. He also said Audi had replaced the sump plug/seal for a proper Audi one (I understood that was fixed anyway), and that they had given the car a clean 'health check'. When I enquired with my Audi dealer they said they wouldn't look or comment on the engine without doing their consumption test. I asked him what they said about the oil over the rear bumper. He said they didn't say anything about it. He offered to deliver the car back to me, happy it was fine. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He was happy to refund me for the car still. I jumped at the chance to get my money back, I'd really lost confidence and the whole thing was really confusing and stressful. We did the refund a few days later, and I was relieved that my money came through after three working days. I'm so grateful to them for this. Incidentally, enquiring about my road tax, I asked them if they were selling the car. They told me they were still doing investigations into it! So, full Audi health check, and good enough to deliver back to me, but still not for sale!! At least they weren't trying to put anyone else through it straight away. Maybe I'm wrong and they're right. I just got a bad feeling, and although they may not have known about the consumption issue (remains to be proven), they sold me a car with oil poured all over it, and an oil leak, and offered a refund. I must say, that at least I got my money back, so they have the integrity and conscience to recognise that, which goes a long long way. I'm really grateful to Chris for doing that, thank you! I don't doubt they sell great cars all the time, but as these things go, I implore you to take a professional, or third party with you to inspect the mechanical side of the car. Ultimately I got my money back, so you're safe on that front. I hope this isn't an unfair review, and I wish them the best in their future trading.

I recently purchased a car and within 4 weeks the engine management light came on. Car Connect sent me to a garage on a Saturday for diagnoses and that was the last I heard until I chased up the outcome just over a week later. Car Connect then said they knew nothing about it and I should take the car to my local garage. This resulted in 5 faults and several hundred pounds worth of garage fees that now their warranty company (autoguard) are refusing to help with. When viewing cars - take a mechanic with you...

I recently bought a car from CarConnect UK and am very happy with my purchase. The salesman wasn’t pushy and let me check over the car in my own time. Would definitely recommend.
Picked an A3 up from them last week. Did the deal through Zuto finance as was told they were one of the approved dealers in my area. I didn’t even see the car before I picked it up. Zuto sorted out the money and then I collected it. Would never normally do that but I trusted what Zuto said. Really nice car and everything has gone well. Few bad reviews on here but to be fair I’m very happy. Nice car and good people.

I recently bought a bmw from car connect uk. After having viewed several cars in my area to no avail, I was pleased to arrive at car connect and find the car as described. The salesman was relaxed and didn’t push me into the sale at all, allowing me plenty of time check the car over and go for a test drive. All in all a pleasant and and friendly experience, I would use them again for another purchase in time to come.

Nick from CarConnect UK in response to Terrible service AVOID
Hi Bianca, your review is unfair and simply not true. You weren’t provided AA breakdown service because we weren’t a member last year when you purchased your car. Your complaint isn’t anything to do with breaking down because your car hasn’t broken down. You’ve had an issue with your battery going flat recently which we have already agreed to have investigated for you. The issue is that you’re refusing to bring the car back so that we can get it looked at. I appreciate you live half an hour or so away making it inconvenient, but I’m afraid we are a small independent business that doesn’t have a relationship with garages local to you. This was made clear to you when you initially purchased your car. All of this could have been rectified very easily if you had just brought the car to our garage for them to inspect your battery issue. You have been dealing with the manager the whole time, so to say he wouldn’t talk to you is false. Even after your unjustified negative review, if you want to bring the car back for us to investigate the most likely very simple battery issue our offer still stands. CarConnect UK
Good car and price I paid was low. I can definitely vouch for this company. Thanks CarConnect
