I have to recommend Carpoint to others. The car that I bought was very good. The service provided by Carpoint was also very good.

I paid a deposit to hold a car at CarPoint of Peterborough but then was not able to continue, it was then impossible to contact them though I tried many times. I need the money back, I am a disabled pensioner and this amount of money is a lot for me.

I would like to say that this company is fantastic. The guys at carpoint go the extra mile. I bought a Ford Mondeo from these and everything from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. Will be back in two years time to purchase another vehicle from them .
Hello. I purchased a black Saab 9-3 from this car sales company in June. The car is lovely to drive. The services were spot on by this company. I had a choice of 3 Saab's from this company and I chose the black one. The salesman was really helpful and didn't push me one bit to make a choice out of 3 cars. I was given plenty of time to look around the cars before I decided. I would to give this company 5 out of 5 for everything start to finish. I will recommend to family and friends and others out there.
If you are thinking of buying a car from Carpoint of Peterborough then don't do it! Turn back now nothing but trouble lies ahead for you. They are all kind and helpful till you hand your money over and drive away only to find the car you bought is riddled with faults, then they disappear don't answer the phone ignore letters even those of the court and drag things out to the empty degree to try and make you give up your court claim. They should be shut down or at least reported, Don't buy!
Haydn in response to DO NOT BUY FROM THESE
These people are liars. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM. They promised FSH. NO FSH. Dodgy MOT and should never have passed it and now I'm paying for the car to be repaired.
BUYER BEWARE! Seriously, beware. I had to sue Carpoint of Peterborough Ltd in the County Court and use the services of High Court Enforcement officers to get my money back when they sold me a vehicle that had a pre-existing head gasket problem. All seemed well on first inspection but that was only because a head gasket sealant had been used to disguise the fault. How do I know it was pre-existing? I contacted the previous owner through their contact details on the V5C logbook and he told me! He had sold it “as is” through the motor trade and it ended up with Carpoint. Where in the trade chain the head gasket sealant was added is unknown, and Carpoint may well have been duped themselves as they probably obtained the vehicle at a trade auction. However, their customer service and attitude post-sale is the main issue. As other Carpoint reviewers have observed, the company was very friendly and exceptionally helpful to begin with, even doing minor pre-sale repairs at my request. However, once the head-gasket problem revealed itself after a couple of weeks, everything changed. Emails, letters and telephone calls were ignored, and if I did get a response, the excuses started. They even asked me to get it repaired under warranty and they would cover the excess “as a goodwill gesture”. The answer was categorically no – firstly because the warranty was invalidated by the pre-existing fault, and secondly, it would be fraudulent – Carpoint expecting the warranty provider to pay for their failure to deal with a major engine fault pre-sale. Anyway, as the fault became apparent within 30 days of the sale, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 entitled me to a full refund. Carpoint were oblivious of this, or deliberately ignored their obligation – several requests that they honour my right to a full refund were ignored. An amicable resolution could not be reached so I eventually used Money Claim Online to obtain a CCJ. Carpoint did not defend the action, and default judgment was awarded to me. Surprise, surprise - Carpoint then asked for a set-aside as they “hadn’t received the papers”. However, once the case reached the hearing stage, the Judge remarked that the papers were properly served and that Carpoint had no evidence to defend the claim. I was once again awarded judgment to be paid immediately. No such luck. I had to rely on DCBL High Court Enforcement to visit Carpoint and obtain the full refund plus expenses on my behalf. I am sure Carpoint of Peterborough Ltd sell many cars that are “fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality” – you may be lucky and get a reliable vehicle at a reasonable price - but I would say this very firmly: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY WITHOUT HAVING A PROFESSIONAL AND WARRANTED INSPECTION DONE FIRST – from the AA or RAC, for example. If you don’t, and anything does go wrong, be prepared to receive an evasive response from Carpoint and a long road to getting the problem resolved.

I also had to go through the County Court to get the car they refused to repair fixed just recenty. They too were evasive and totally ignored calls and letters i was left with no oprion but to go to court. I too won the claim and they have not responded to the order. I will go to the high court once deadline is passed if nothing is done and ive not got my money back. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!

I wish I had seen this review prior to purchasing from Carpoint Peterborough. Initially I was very satisfied with the service and attention the sales staff gave and was assured if there was any problems with the vehicle I could return the car for a full refund. I noticed a rattle from the clutch prior to purchase but was assured by the Manager the warranty would cover the full cost of the repair if the issue develops. Sure enough the next day the rattle got louder, so I booked it in with a local mechanic to spend an hour giving it a once over. The problems found was the following- Faulty clutch (possible clutch and fly wheel replacement) Faulty Steering pump (replacement recommended) Faulty parking sensors Faulty rear windscreen washer pump. Also the rear carpets had been spray painted with black paint and the alloys had been sprayed with silver. Myself and my mechanic opened up a claim and supplied Warranty First with the information requested. A few days later I received a response and as you specified there was a £500 limit, 10% excess payable and they would not except the claim until a full diagnostics had been carried out. To fully diagnose the clutch issue the gearbox would need to be removed. The Warranty company made it quite clear, any diagnostic costs are not covered by the warranty and this cost would lie with me. They also specified the repairs would likely exceed the limit any extra cost over the £450 limit would be my responsibility to pay. With all these issues in mind, unable to pay all the extra repair costs and having a car that was not road worthy, I steadily returned the vehicle to Carpoint Peterborough. Staff said they would up the limit on the warranty to £1000 to cover the extra cost. I was not interested in any rule bending, spending more time and money and I reminded the sales staff I was told on purchase by the Manager I could simply return the vehicle for a full refund. The Manager was not present and staff asked me to take the car and make an appointment to return and talk to the Manager. I reminded them the car was unfit to drive and by using the car would only make existing faults worse. So I left the car there. I called the Manager and he requested diagnostic information and a written letter which I have done, but has not responded and now I fear I will have a battle on my hands (like you) to get my money back. I know this post was a while ago but if you have any information that may help me get my refund, it would be much appreciated. Email: danny.blackwell@live.co.uk Thanks Danny

I'm having to do that now - I spoke to Trading Standards and Citizens Consumer Advice (whi said theyd also inform Trading Standards). I've just received their 'defence and they're denying everything, even that they ever sold the car, or ever dealt with us. I've kept emails etc but any tips appreciated!

UPDATE: BUYER WARNING: Carpoint of Peterborough trades as two companies, Carpoint of Peterborough Ltd. and Haydex Ltd. As of 8th June 2018, Company House accounts records show that Carpoint of Peterborough has no assets. If you are planning on buying a car from this dealer, make sure you have evidence in writing that it was sold by Haydex Ltd. If not, and you get a CCJ against Carpoint of Peterborough Ltd. to get your money back, your chances of getting a refund are effectively zero. Haydex Ltd. however have plenty of cash and assets, hence the need to have that company's name on the paperwork.
Hi. I bought a Vauxhall Corsa about a month ago from Carpoint Peterborough and I absolutely love it. The car was as described and was in a very good condition. The salesman Parvz was very helpful and not at all pushy. Carpoint allowed me to make up my own mind about the car without any pressure from the salesman. So far I am very happy with my new car and the services given by Carpoint.

Another glowing review after a very bad review. There seems to be a pattern emerging, a 1 star review followed by a 5 star review, followed by a 1 star review followed by a 5 star review. When I phoned to ask about some compensation no-one answers the phone, so I call from a different number and it is answered straight away, until they realise, then they put the phone down on me and will not answer that number again. Be very wary of this company.
I have bought my car 2 weeks ago from car point of Peterborough. They sold me broken car, warranty don't want pay for fix it. The company ignores my calls and e-mails. They do not even deserve one star.

I traveled from Bedford to see a Fiat Grande Punto and it was worth the travel. The car was immaculate and was fantastic to drive. Carpoint of Peterborough sell very good cars at low affordable prices. Will recommend to others.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE !!!! The previous review was a bad review about travelling some distance to your site, then low and behold, a good review appears as if like magic about travelling distance to your site. Do you really think we are all that stupid. This review sounds more like an advert that a review.
