My son wanted a replacement car and we found one at this dealer Car was just what he wanted but had a few problems which we were assured would be repaired. however the garage that carried out the work on dealers behalf were far from competent and the work was far from satisfactory / not carried out Promised a full valet but this did not happen Battery went flat after a few days Rear brakes jammed on despite a new MOT Air con defective Passenger door defective Dealer refused to take car back and also refused to compromise with us by sharing the cost of the necessary above work. So be aware of this dealer and make sure you get what you are promised by the dodgy salesmen and poor customer service, -- or go elsewhere

Seen the exact car I’ve been looking for at Hamworthy MOT Centre/Cars of Kinson or whatever other guise these people trade by . Phoned and made arrangements to see the car. We were 10 minutes into the 3 hour journey to get there when Max (helpful chap) phoned to say there was a problem with the car, something to do with a cold start issue. Max said it would go into the workshop to be looked at and we would get a call during that week from Adam. Nothing was heard whatsoever from Adam that week or the 2 weeks since, despite several calls being made and messages left. I’ve even sent a message on the ebay listing but still no response. Does Adam actually exist? Why doesn’t he want to speak to me about buying one of their cars? I have cash and the time to view if only someone would call to make an arrangement for me to view the car I’m interested in. The car was listed on gumtree 2 days ago and when I called to chase up my initial enquiry it was still available then! If you have made a successful purchase through this outfit please send me your tips. Doubt very much I would make a purchase through them now but they might come in handy elsewhere. Other half is a sales trainer in the motor industry, maybe he could do them a discount to show them how they should be conducting their business! Oh no, wait, they don’t want to make any sales 🥴

I found a Vauxhall Zafira for sale on their site a few weeks ago and it ticked all the boxes I needed. It was a good price to be fair to the dealership and I paid a deposit to secure it whilst the finance agreement was put in place. Living 200 miles away from the dealership meant that I spoke to the dealership over the phone numerous times to check that everything was going to plan and I arranged a date to pick the car up making sure to give them about a weeks notice so they could get the car ready which they assured me they would. I left my house at 6am to get to the dealership for 10am ready to sort the paperwork out, tax the vehicle, hand my old car over for Part Ex, and then drive home. As soon as I arrived at the dealership and saw the car, I was asking questions. 1. The car hadn't been washed which is unusual but not a deal breaker. I was disappointed to be clearing cobwebs off the underside of the wing mirrors and the inside hadn't been touched with dog hair coating the back seats. 2. One of the wing mirrors had part of the casing missing. I queried this although again, not a deal breaker, I wasn't sure why this hadn't been sorted. I was told that they hadn't wanted to order one as they didn't think it would arrive by Saturday when I wanted to pick it up. Bear in mind, I had paid a deposit at least two weeks prior to this. 3. The rear nearside tyre was illegal. 90% of the tread was OK, but there was a small area that was worn badly enough to warrant needing a new tyre before it was driven away. I asked why this hadn't been done or at least disclosed to me (they knew I was doing a 400 mile round trip) and the guy shrugged and said he didn't know. 4. As we were talking about the tyres, I thought I better check that they had the locking wheel nut so the tyres could be changed. they didn't know where that was which would have caused issues. 5. They also didn't know where the log book, servicing book or car manual were. 6. There was a dent in the offside door pillar between the front and rear passenger doors. The dent, whilst not massive, was big enough for me to get my finger in and due to the location, could cause an issue to the structure of the vehicle. All in all, this was a shocking experience from a car dealer. The car was nowhere near ready to drive away even though they had plenty of notice and knew how far I had to drive back in it. The one piece of credit I can give them, is that they refunded my deposit without argument which also suggests that they knew the vehicle wasn't fit to drive. Please do not use this dealership. I made the mistake of reading poor reviews and ignoring them thinking they were customers with unrealistic expectations. My expectations were not too high considering it's a 7 year old car and wear and tear is inevitable, but I do expect the car to be ready to drive away.

Really not sure how the people leaving poor reviews had such a bad time because my experience has been fantastic. Went to view a car I'd seen online and was served by Adam the manager. He was extremely friendly, honest, very helpful and gave brilliant advice following the purchase of my new vehicle too. He had the car ready for collection the following day and I haven't had a single problem with it. I would genuinely highly recommend

"Aftersales Service not acceptable"

Cars of Kinson (COK) read the reviews before purchasing, I wish I had. Initial experience was good, Adam is a salesman with the salesman's patter, nothing wrong there it's what you expect when shopping for cars. The issue came as seems to be the norm with the after sales service. As with purchases of this nature you can get issues but as long as they are address correctly it's not a major problem. We purchased a 12 plate Audi Q3, sensible miles good condition. After 5 days I informed COK that we had a few issues, these were the alarm going off for no reason, Satnav reported no files, intermittent wipers not working and stops start technology also not working. We were asked to take the car to a garage the other side of Bournemouth which we did the night before it was due to be looked at but there was nowhere to leave it that wasn't double yellows so we rearranged to take it back to COK later that week. We were told that they would look at the faults but would be repair the stop start technology as that was "expensive and needed a new Battery" they were told that this was not acceptable. When we got the car back they had fixed the alarm and the satnav, but told us that there was nothing wrong with the wipers and they were not doing the battery. The day after it was returned I contacted them reference the wipers, £7k for a car whose wipers don't work is not acceptable, their reply was: "As previously stated when we had the Q3 in for repairs for the SATNAV etc - the auto electrician couldn't find a fault with the wipers, it was suggested perhaps you should ask Audi and see what they say about the wipers because there were no codes or faults stored on the vehicle when being plugged into a diagnostic machine. Audi/VW use a more advanced software called VAGCOM/VCDS that is specifically designed for their vehicles only and thus can find out a lot more information than any other diagnostic tool. I personally recommend Mastertech in Poole, they're Audi specialists who have decades of experience dealing with these cars and its where I take my A5 if it ever needs anything. Best Regards Max" Good plug for mastertech not so for COK. When they receive reviews like this they always state that they have done all they could to fix issues, to this I say, you should have taken my Audi to mastertech like you do yours.

Very helpful and understanding staff recommend these people as I recently brought a car from there and I am loving it. It was purchased by finance and one of the company’s let me down at the last minute but they still kept my car off sale till it was sorted
