Purchased a Hyundai I20 from Cars2 Wakefield a couple of weeks ago (March 2019), on test drive there was a very loud annoying squeak from rear tyre, even though this did not put me off purchasing the vehicle, the sales guy 'Scott' assured me the garage would rectify the problem and the wheel may possibly be stripped before car was due to be collected.....upon collection I was assured this had been checked and tested, however on my 8 mile journey home, there it was again (loud and clear) and still present today despite numerous calls and promises from the garage that someone will contact me to book the car in for further investigation.....I'm still waiting!! Very disappointing!! I may also add my grandparents also experienced very similar issues with the garage's after care service, once but not twice within immediate family, appears to be a pattern.
I bought a vehicle from the Cars2 Wakefield branch in Dec 2018. Before even going into the branch to look at the cars I specifically said I am not interested in any car unless it has the Bluetooth function for both making/receiving calls, but also for the media aspect ie, being able to listen to my music through Bluetooth. Anyway, I was by Harrison the salesman, ‘we have a really nice BMW 1 series, it fits your requests etc, come down and see what you think’. I visited the garage and loved the car, was actually impressed that they had found me exactly what I wanted with the ‘spec I wanted too’. So comes to the day I sign all the paperwork and ask the question of how many owners the car has, I was told the car had 1 previous owner. So I came to collect the car, was absolutely buzzing got in the car, tried to set Bluetooth up and I didn’t work for my music. So rather than staying outside the garage so I went home and planned to fix it then. Got home and still couldn’t get it working. Now rather than calling the garage I thought I’d ring the BMW garage to get their help, as they are the experts. I was told my car is not Bluetooth compatible with media at all. So I call the garage tell them the situation, they offered to put some kind of device in the car, which I didn’t want. I wouldn’t of bought the car if I’d of known this. So was given the option to swap my car and they will get in touch when something suitable comes in. Weeks pass and I have no update from gagage, but I finally receive the log book. Turns out it actually has 3 previous owners not 1. Rang the garage immediately and spoke with the same sales man and questioned him about the owners. He said he got the information off the website, but either way, I have been Mis-sold the car for both Bluetooth and the owners now. We are now in March 2019, I have been calling weekly for an update, been promised call backs which I’ve not received. Finally called garage today to be told I have no proof of any of these allegations so they will no longer be rectifying their mistakes. So for 3 months I have been basically been fobbed off, I am now left with a car that is worth nothing compared to what I paid for and there are many other issues I’ve had too. Now having to go down the legal route to get my money back. Absolute shambles of a business. Never in a million years would I ever recommend anyone to use this company, please do not buy a car from them. I wish I never gave them an opportunity to find me a car, they have completely waisted my money and time.

Purchased a Kona in October with the website promise of 47-57 MPG. The car fell very short of this and was only achieving in the region of 30-35. This is when the true nature of the after sales surfaced. The garage was dismissive of problems and did very little to investigate. When we tried to change the car they then subjected to us to 4 hours of sales pitch suggesting that we change to a 3 year old car and pay an extra £70 per month for the privilege. Complained to head office who basically told they were not interested. Taking this to the Motor Ombudsman. Never again will I use Cars2 Hyundai in Wakefield.
I purchased a car from Cars2 Hyundai Wakefield in Oct 2018 which was found to have defective parts fitted (at the date of purchase). The car cuts out at low speeds and is dangerous to drive as a result. I have requested a full refund from Tricia Corfield, the Group Customer Care Manager and Allan Otley, the Managing Director - neither of which have the courtesy to reply to my correspondence. This perfectly reflects how the company operates. I am pursuing this via The Motor Ombudsman and a solicitor. Read the other reviews on this page and buy a car from a different dealership.

I'm having the exact same problem... Bought a mini about 7 weeks ago drove it home... once engine warm cuts out in 1st gear.... they didn't believe me... they claimed they changed the clutch... still happened... after a month agreed the car was faulty and now want to scrap it... they have bamboozled me with finance want me to choose a different car... not giving my the deposit I'm owed to place on another car.... I'm at my wits end with it... don't know how to tackle this predicament at all ....
We bought a brand new tucson from Cars2 Wakefield Hyundai and it was all great 1mth later we went back to buy a used car found a little ford ka great found a few things wrong with the car and was told yep that will be sorted in the workshop so we thought great picked the car the following day and and drove home but on the way we called and filled the car up to the brim for work the next week we did 15 miles and it used over 1/4 off a tank and its only a,1.00 ltr now thats not right so my partner thought wot else is wrong so he had look around and found the exhaust was rotting away and ther was a noise from the steering when you turn the wheel buy now ive lost all faith with it and ring the garage who take the car in and tell me they have changed the exhaust and sorted the wheel problem so i asked wot was that and they said it was the air bag in the wheel it was faulty now im sure that is dangerous to sell a car and let someone drive away with that kind off fault as well as them saying its been through the work shop and wot ever our cars need they get cut a long story short ive tried to buy a brand new from them to rectify any my confidence and it seems they dont sell cars hear as ive had to chase them for over a week to speak to some one who can help me sort it as far as im concerned they have just lost a brand new sale
We were really pleased and impressed with everything from start to finish at Cars2 Hyundai in Wakefield. Initially dealt with Sam (MOT).. He explained all our options, had a real good understanding of the models available, We agreed initially on a vehicle, then he found us a better one, a Premium model which was great. Our next dealings were with Tom Marren the handover specialist.. He was great too, a smooth efficient and friendly handover. Ive been in twice last week and spoke to both guys about various queries and they were really helpful, great after service. Im really happy with the car and will no doubt use you again when i look for another model, and will ask straight away for Sam and Tom to assist us.. Thanks guys......

I applied for a car finance with Cars2 Hyundai in Wakefield (on a Friday) and gave £400 deposit. The day after (saturday) the application I got a call from them saying that unfortunately couldn't find any finance company for me so they would send me back my deposit and it would take up to 5 working days, obviously I thought that I would have this money with me by Friday but I DIDN'T. I called them next Saturday asking why I didn't receive they money yet and I was told to call back on Monday (6 days legally passed and no sign of my money). Called the office and asked to speak to a manager and I was told that I would get a call back from a manager which never happened and I also that I had to wait for the money because they couldn't do anything I was furious by that time and out of pocket because I was counting on that money. I had to go there personally and ask to speak again with a manager which never showed up to speak to me. So they went to see the application and then found out they THE MONEY WAS NEVER SEND BACK TO ME 😤😤😤. Only then I was told and given a recipe with the refund and that the money would be shortly in my account, I told them that I wouldn't leave until I see my money in my account. Waited 2 hours ( that's the max time transaction take). After 2 hours I was still without money. They came back to me surprised I was still there and told me again they couldn't do anything anymore and that I had to was max 2 OTHER DAYS, so it wasn't "SHORTLY " like I was told it was 2 more fucking days. I was asked politely to leave the premise. I asked they for a complaint book and I was told that they didn't have one and if I wanted I could send an email to the manager who never wanted to speak to me. Believe it or not it is passed 4 days and I am still waiting for my money. This was the worst experience I ever had with such a big company.

Will never buy a car again from cars2 hyundai wakefield, sold me an x rental car wasn't informed before i purchased it told 1 owner the car had a couple of rust spots on roof was told would be rerrified after 4 attempts wasn't happy then got in touch with the finance company they inspected the car said it needed a new roof car came back still had faults with the roof so contacted hyundia again to say wanted to reject the car now waiting on the ombudsmen to rule cars2 didn't want to know when we asked for the car to be taken back and replaced there was no service history was told we would get that never happened so the car is not worth the money ive paid for it we were loyal customers never again

Recently bought a car from Cars2 Hyundai Wakefield and had no issues what so ever, car was in brilliant condition the salesman was polite and courteous instantly offering me a tea/coffee and happily took the time to explain all the details about the car and different options available to me would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Took deposit, shook hands.with scott and manager.to pick up friday. Every day asked for some id, then told finance pending. confirmed thurs to pick up friday,not ready more id. I called saturday they said problem with finance!!!!! checked on car people website no problem!!!! have agreed over phone!!!! (I work in financial services). They said never going give me finance-shouting at me in middle showroom, i advised they had no right taking all my id then,they have broken gdpr. Reported them to FCA and taking civil action. THEY WONT GIVE DEPOSIT BACK!!!!!!!!!!! Read website they can take deposit on a car even if its sold!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Dozy Unprofessional and unqualified
