Looking for a small car. Called in to car garage. Saw car of interest, asked mileage on car, " sorry I cannot help you"! Asked car sales person if possible to go check. Off they went and came back with an answer. Asked about another car, what mode? " I don't know. All details are in my phone and phone is flat",!!! This is Sunday, lots of potential customer's. Dire customer service or care about selling.

I visited the dealership to discuss the possibility of trading in my relatively new Hyundai i20 for a newer model, with exactly the same extras as I had purchased with my previous i20, for a cheaper monthly price, which I was more than happy with. I had researched my existing model with the same and higher specifications and also other available models within my budget, so came to the appt with tons of questions. My appt was with Ben, I’d never met him before but I liked his manner straight away. After discussing the preliminaries, I launched into all my questions and he happily answered every single one, patiently and comprehensively. He was ok when I butted in querying something relating to what he was explaining, and answered all my queries to my satisfaction. I went for the first of my two test drives in a different model to that of my existing car, a Bayon, which was an SUV with a bigger boot than my i20. It was a lovely substantial car with a bigger boot than an i20, but slightly more expensive than a brand new i20, but I’d already decided that if I was going to pay extra for a new car and be happy to pay an amount that would take me above my monthly payment, this car wasn’t the one I would chose to buy. I’d already got my eyes on an i20 N line and was more than happy to go for a test drive in the one in the show room. It was an automated/manual gear, a little bit daunting as I’d never driven a car with both choices of gears but again Ben more than happily explained how they worked in combination with each other, again being patient when I kept butting in with new questions when they popped into my head. I was surprised how responsive the automatic was, I always thought they were rather sluggish, but not this one, so much so that although the car gave me the option to switch to manual gearbox for that extra bit of oomph if needed, I don’t really think I’d need it ! Suffice to say the test drive in this car cemented my decision to go ahead and buy it. I had set myself a monthly max I could afford to pay and although initially we struggled to get the price down to this figure, after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, and without any pressure whatsoever from Ben or his senior sales team, they threw in some extras I thought were extremely generous on their part, I felt I couldn’t turn the deal down, and the end figure wasn’t that much more than the max monthly payment I’d set myself. I think at the end of the day, the friendliness, professionalism, patience and understanding of Ben and other staff involved, the fact that they were more than willing to go that extra mile, not only to get the sale (which I understand is important to them), but to accommodate me and my financial situation, meant a lot to me. I didn’t feel as though I was under any pressure to take on a monthly amount that I was uncomfortable with, and I actually felt that they more to me than I gave to them to secure the deal, plus I got the car I wanted, so it was a total win-win all around ! If you want a car that gives you a lot of bang for your buck, go with a Hyundai. My last five cars have been with this brand and the cars have never let me down. Also a big shout out to the staff, all helpful, polite, professional and knowledgeable. This is why I am more than happy to stay with the brand, the sales showroom and staff. I am happy and proud to be a Hyundai owner.

Sales team pressured my 78 year old step dad into a sale and a large HP agreement. Lots of unecessary add ons and when he wanted to cancel within 90 minutes of leaving the showroom they declined. He hadnt even gone car shopping, he had taken a car for service. He hadnt understood the finance agreement or that the car order was legally binding. No empathy and we were told we could not cancel the finance but luckily I knew he could or he would have taken them at their word. I will be going through the motor ombudsmen but avoid is my advice.

Picked up my wife's new i20 yesterday and despite a problem with internet and responds from DVLA we were treated very well with drinks and being looked after with special thanks to Tom and Harrison for there hard work. Once again thank you. Kind regards Stephanie and Mick Young

I have never been treated as appallingly as I was by this sales team. Going to purchase a new car should be a joy, this dealership had me in tears. They lost the sale of a new car, I lost my confidence in Hyundai. Having bought their cars for the last 12 years, I will never purchase another.

Dealt with Joe Plunkett who was very pleasant helpful & knowledgeable. It was our 3rd time of buying a car from this dealer & have always found the experience enjoyable all staff are extremely pleasant. Can definitely recommend buying a car from these guys
Bought a car a few month ago, was fine for a few days, until an engine light came on, took it to the cars official dealership, they found over £3000 worth of things that needed done. The warranty company they supply is awful too, they will get out of anything they possibly can to not pay out.
