Hi Mr A, Thank you for your review, we have looked into this incident and the vehicle you came to view was one of our company cars hence it not being valeted as it was being used, we would not agree that it smelt damp however all our vehicles are re-valeted before they leave us so this would be corrected. We would like to note all used cars have small scratches and we machine polish all our cars as part of there final valet to try and rectify as much of this as possible before they leave us, it is in our opinion a very nice car and sold the day after your visit for the screen price, all prices are checked weekly against Autotrader and other mediums. We sell hundreds of Prestige, Sports and 4x4 vehicles every year without incident and am sorry if we have in someway let you down. The after care is a joke Paid £165 for Inspection report along with Yellow care Gold cover £441 which is done by the same company when it was due for the M.O.T it failed on the rear back spring and faulty electronic parking brake. Called Yellow Care and was told the coil spring was not covered and bring the car in and we will have a look at the parking brake, after several phones later after informing them my coil spring was indeed covered by the warranty and still they informed them it was not covered and we would never cover coil springs. Eventually after I told them I would see them in court I received a phone call from a very apologetic person that he had made a mistake and they would replace it (same person who said they would never cover the coil spring) When they looked at the parking brake I was told it was the electric switch which was not covered by the warranty (surprise surprise ) and they would not fix the problem why don't you buy the switch yourself they said. Had the car for a year done 1800 miles never touched the parking brake physically as no need too and only realised it had a fault due to the M.O.T failure. Both the check and warranty was supplied by the same people.

In response to the comments left by Mr Smith under the actual review, The Yellow Care warranty he refers to paid for the repair to his Coil Spring, a serviceable item that would not be covered by any warranty company that we are aware of in the country. The reason for the confusion when he first made the claim was it materialised there had been a printing error on his policy document 'including' not excluding Coil Springs (which has now been rectified for future documents) and our telephone operative would not have been aware of this. The warranty company honoured his claim as this was the correct thing to do in this situation. The other part of his claim he refers to was a switch that had worn due to use and the warranty he had has no provision for this type of failure. We sell and supply hundreds of warranties each year without incident and cover claims Nationwide, we are sorry you feel in this situation you have been let down. Best Regards cars2you
