I went to view a Vauxhall Astra, and was dealt with by a guy named Alex Dring. Alex was very friendly, never pushy, and was just generally a pleasant experience. Would recommend Carshop Cardiff based on my experience.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE WITH CARSHOP CARDIFF! I bought my car from Cardiff car shop around a ago, the car in it self has been okay, bar some minor issues. However the customer service and approach by the members of staff is appalling! I was told by the business manager John James that I will be having 2 years free mot to go along side my service plan as I was unsure about taking it out as I live in Swansea and didn't want to travel. John then offered 2 years free mot to make it worth while, so I took it. Only to find out later one was pre-paid at 19.99 which I didn't really mind, until I went back for my 2nd mot and service yesterday. I was told in the morning the mot will be free, then when I returned to collect the car they were charging me £34.99 for it. At which point I complained and the "boy" handing over my car threw his hands in the air and said with aggression and lack of professionalism "well then mr.lewis your not taking your car, unlucky". As anyone would i then requested to speak to a manager, the manager wouldn't get out of her chair and told the boy to go get someone else to talk to me. I was then taken in to a business manager who also kept repeating the same as before, not listening to my query and trying to brush it off like it was nothing, so once again I requested to speak to a manager. Then the manager decided she wanted to speak to me, after half hour of waiting and requesting to speak to her, introducing her self as the "bad experience manager" (must happen quite alot to have someone hold that title) She then stated that John was not in and that they have never offered 2 years mot, and wanted to wait for John to be in to ask him if he had offered something the business has never offered. In my eyes this is a pointless exercise as no one would admit they done something outside of company policy. Anyways the "bad experience manager" continued to fob off my complaint stating I had to pay today and it would then be investigated, if John admits to lying I would get the money back. When I asked when I will recieve an update, the response was "when I get time", an absolutely appalling approach to a customer complaint. When I asked for a day she responded well I've got interviews and other things to do next week, well as a manager you should be organised and know what time is available to handle this issue. Well the "bad experience manager" finally said I will have a response on the outcome, to see if John has admitted to lying by Sunday. As a company of its size you would expect the complaints procedure to be handled better than this. Disgusting experience. To top off a wonderful time at car shop, I got the car home last night, and when I took a second look I realised that there highly professional workshop team had replaced my headlights (on request), but removed a side light, so now I am left with 1 side light missing. And trying to get through to there customer service team is impossible. Waited 30mins and still no answer. No doubt they will make me travel 45 minutes up the motorway to get it put back in. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A CAR FROM HERE. BUYERS BE WARNED, THE COMPANY ALLOWS EMPLOYEES TO LIE, AND THE MANAGEMENT WILL HELP COVER UP LIES!! DISGUSTING!
Once again... SHOCKING service from the Cardiff branch.. had my sons car for nearly 2 weeks to fix again...had car less 3 months.. NO CONTACT OR UPDATES .. STILL HAVE THE CAR . Cant get directly through the Cardiff .. NEVER RECOMMEND OR BUY FROM THIS COMPANY...If I could 0/5. When you are buying the car all singing and dancing for you...that's why some sites have 5/5 .. they get you to leave review before it all goes wrong.... DONOT BUY FROM THEM

I MUST SAY UP UNTIL THE POINT WHERE I ASKED THE CAR SHOP CARDIFF BRANCH THE PART EXCHANGE VALUE ON MY CAR IT WAS QUITE GOOD, THEN CAME THE PART WERE THEY WOULD NOT DO A VALUATION BEFORE I CHOSE A CAR TO PURCHASE AND PLACE A £99 DEPOSIT, THERE WAS NO ONE AT THECAR SHOP TO MAKE THE VALUATION ,THEY SHIPPED IT OUT TO A FIRM IN BRISTOL , I HAD BEEN TO FIVE GARAGES AND GOT A VALUATION ON THE SPOT SO I KNEW WHAT MY CAR WAS WORTH, THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR , BUT I FOUND SIX TOUCH UPS DONE ON A CAR I SELECTED, ANOTHER THING I ASKES WAS IS THERE TWO KEYS, I WAS TOLD THEY ONLY GIVE ONE , IS THERE A MARKET FOR KEYS ON E BAY I ASKED, I HAVE TWO KEYS WITH MY CAR SO I WILL JUST GIVE YOU ONE, AS THE STORY GOES ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD

Terrible experience in the car shop cardiff branch. 10 days without a car as a result of their ‘mistakes’. 4 wasted journeys in total & £25 petrol offered as compensation or a complete cock up from beginning to end. No sale despite the money to pay for a fab car. Honestly, if they can’t get it right selling you a car, what hope have you got if something goes wrong with it.

I booked an appointment at Carshop in Cardiff to test drive a car for my granddaughter. So cheaper and of the scale When we arrived was giving a very old a car key and told to go out the back to look for it. After an hour the sales rep said the car was at the front so waited another 1/2 only to be told he couldnt find the car. WAS THE CAR EVER THERE OR JUST A PLOY To get us into the showroom.
