Ignore the price on the car you have to pay 144 as for admin .they said to check if I had finance on my car which I had paid cash and bought it from the car people in manchester.shame as I would of booked bought the car and staff are nice

After buying a car from The Car People in Manchester, I would never go back for a second one. The level of service from sales staff is disgusting, They leaving you sat around for 20 minutes at a time while they have a chat or a laugh. They promise you any scratches will be touched up and car would be valleted, collect car and no work is done. 5 weeks later still no return phone call even though they promise that somebody will ring you. Avoid if you can. Be warned.......

I had the misfortune of buying a car from car people Warrington and trading in my old car, Car people took so long to settle the finance which was owing on my old car that the finance company said they missed the date for the settlement and the figure had expired, the balance still owing is £760 which car people refuse to pay, they even tried to blame me saying I had given them the wrong settlement figure, which is strange as there salesman and finance department obtained it themselves, They now ignore my calls emails and are not available to talk. So think very carefully before trading in a car if they tell you they will settle the finance because they have left me in debt! Special mention to car people for threatening me over my review for mentioning names and to the poor person who bought my trade in VOLVO S60 AV12WHM Which they illegally sold with outstanding finance on it! , I have had to complain to the motor ombudsman to see if they can make them pay, The one star I had to leave is more than they deserve

OK, firstly lets get the positive done and dusted, the business manager was great to deal with and did all he could to look after us. Top man to deal with. as for everything else then that is a different matter. We called into the branch to look at trading our car in for a newer model, and there is a great selection of cars there. within half an hour the wife had chosen a cracking 66 plate Corsa. We pointed out to the sales exec Chris that the trim covering the airbag was broken (exposing the airbag), Battery was dead and it needed a good valet. All this was noted on his order and was assured this will be sorted before collection. Was then handed over to to sort the finance which was taken care of smoothly. Issues raised with the car he put onto the system (as the sales exec forgot) and all sorted, or at least we hoped. On the day of collection with a very excited wife, we spotted the car in the hand over area so we took a quick peek before going into the showroom only to find the panel over the airbag was still hanging off, the floor mats were still dirty left in the boot and the valet was really poor. at no point were we told that they were unable to fix the panel, however on going into the showroom to go over the papwork etc we were told that a new panel had been placed on order anc that we would get a call when it arrives to have it fitted (1 week on and still no trim panel or phone call) we then got taken to the hand over section where they go over your px paperwork and then get you to sign for your new car. The order form had been changed from the original which showed the road tax was included, to now needing to pay for the road tax. Ok it was only £30, but thats not the point. on my signed order form it shows the balance due which included the road tax, but i could see the wife was starting to get annoyed so we paid and got on with the hand over. so a week down the line i run a HPI check on our part exchange, suprise suprise the outstanding finance has not been settled. i call to find out why and i get told "oh that can take up to 2 weeks". News flash it does not, when you contra settle a vehicle it should not take more than 3 days. but it seems they settle it by sending a cheque to the finance company, so i hope your settlement date does not expire in that time !!!! In a nutshell what should have been a wonderful experience for us as we have never been in a position to afford to do this before, turned out to be awful. Ron was the only person there who actually seemed to know what they were doing and showed any ounce of consideration when he found out the panel was still broken on the day of the hand over. He tried his best but all his good work was undone by nobody else doing what they said they would do. update, two weeks on, despite responses advising my concerns have been raised with the management at the Warrington branch promising a call back and update.......still no call back Is it to much to ask “do what you say you are going to do”........no call, no apology, no replacement trim to date

SO I PURCHASED MY IDEAL CAR FROM THE CAR PEOPLE MANCHESTER AND THE SALES MAN WAS GREAT , BUT THEN THE FUN ENDED , CARS BEEN BACK SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO BODGED FIXES AFTER BEING TOLD THERE STAFF AINT CAPABLE OF DOING THE WORK REQUIRED AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS STILL THEY GAVE CAR BACK DROVE IT HOME MECHANICAL FAULT STILL PRESENT AFTER USING 1/3 TANK OF FUEL ( PROBLABLY DOING BUTTIE RUNS IN IT ) PAINT REPAIR TO ALLOYS EVEN WORSE , RING THEM UP TAKE CAR BACK NEARLY 5 WKS LATER IVE STILL NOT GOT CAR BACK AS THEYVE LEFT IT AT DEALERS BECUASE BILL STILL NEEDS TO BE PAID ! THEN IV STILL TO WAIT FOR BODY REPAIRS TO BE COMPLETED PROPERLY BY ANOTHER FIRM SO CALL IT MAYBE ANOTHER WEEK MEAN WHILE IM STILL PAYING !! STAFF SAY THERE GOING TO CALL BUT NEVER DO OR SAY THEY HAVE CALLED TOTAL SHAMBLES THIS IS WHY THE MOTOR TRADE GETS SUCH A BAD RAP !! SO TO END IT ON THIS NOTE. JOHN WAYNE WOULD BE PROUD OF THIS BUNCH OF COWBOYS

The Car People Manchester are absolute cowboys do not but from these Arthur daleys. Will smoke screen your car with car cover and think your buying a new car all tosh. don't sign for the car until you check the spec sheet from auto car. bits will be missing and they will lie to you to get the signature

Bought my car from The Car People Manchester in Ashton what a load of hassle, that advert on the telly is misleading. They have my old car up for sale while the finance is still outstanding they have been unable to settle the finance due to a shortage of staff!! I now have two cars on finance!!! Don’t go there
