I bought my car from the Car People Manchester in July 2017 which I had problems with from the start saying it would be ready in a couple of days but I had to wait over 2 weeks and I had the hand over which I thought went ok but now a year later the car let’s me no it’s due a service which I had an idea because on the paper work I received it said next one was due August 2018 but when I’ve come to get the book for when it needs stamping I’ve noticed there’s no stamp for August 2017 I come down to the ashton store and spoke to the customer service manager and all he said was there’s not much he can do because it’s been nearly a year and he offered me a free m o t basically saying it was my fault I should of got one done last August which is wrong because on my paper work it said this August. I also was supposed to get a phone call off the manager but as usual from the car people they never ring you back . I will never buy from car people again and I shall not recommend to anyone and I will make sure everyone knows what they are like the power of Facebook and Instagram

I came to the Car People Manchester with my son to buy a new car and ended up driving away in one myself. I bought an Audi A5 cabriolet £20.000, only to find out it had been bodged up on the alloys ( you touch the rim the paint comes of on your fingers) also the bonnet had a bad paint job , this is a 2 year old car !.took it back it’s a 2 hour commute and they say we will fix this ! So go back to collect it after being told to come before 8pm we get there 7.20 only to find they can’t find my keys and it’s not been cleaned it was covered in white dust and can I bring it back tomorrow! Like it’s round the corner... anyway after a lot of discussion I agree for then to collect it from my house the next day .. a guy takes it I ask please take care of her he only brings it back with a kerbed alloy and a chunk out of the tyre !! When I call to speak to the manager he says he hasn’t done this impling then that I must have .. it’s now gone in again for the 3rd time and I’m not finished with this I’ve been treated a terribly I feel violated.

When I went to buy the car the sales people at the Car People in Manchester were brilliant since then I’ve had nothing but trouble took it back 5 times and it seems there not interested and I’ve only made one payment so far I wouldn’t rate them at all .

I bought a Vauxhall Zafira from The Car People in Manchester I was never told that it was a ex hire car the two front tyres had very low tread I would not buy another car from them again.

Bought a Nissan Micra from the car people manchester, less than 6 months ago. It had 33,000 on the clock. I have added another 2,000 miles to the clock but already the starter motor has gone and i'm left with a £400 bill to get it fixed. This was after i was told the car was alarmed when it isnt and it had a broken headlight before id even had it a week. Would urge everybody to go elsewhere. They sell cars that are vastly overpriced and break in less than six months.

Please avoid Car People Manchester - they are suppose to be regulated by the FCA and fall foul of treating customers fairly. I went with all paperwork to trade my car in - Salesman said he'd worked out my final settlement figure (without contacting or even asking me to contact the finance company) A deal was then struck and paperwork signed using this settlement figure plucked out of thin air. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday go by - In which Car People now had the true settlement figure - I'd called multiple times over these days and never had a call back - Thursday came - I was promised a call back again - nothing ! - Friday came - And 10 minutes before I was due to collect the car - I get a phone call to say there was an issue with the finance. Car People admitted their error - yet were so unwilling to help the customer and just put the monthly figure up ! - They don't care whether the customer can afford the re-payments, as I was asked if they could put the higher figure through without any consideration for my financial position - They don't care that the customer has spent all week sorting insurance out and getting the car thats being traded in ready - And the hassle-free way to buy a car - Well is utter rubbish - A MUST AVOID AT ALL COST !!!! - In fact when I was in there to buy a car - Another customer approached us on the way out - and warned us not to deal with Car People ! - Says it all really !

I recently asked to reserve a car from the wakefield branch and spoke to a lady on the phone on the day of viewing and test driving the car and i asked if i could get the car transferred to the Manchester branch which would be nearer to me she replied that it would be £200 deposit to get that done for me which i agreed she further told me that if i did not buy the car that i would only get £100 back because of transport cost which i said that was fine, we agreed for myself to go to the carpeople branch in Manchester in the next hour to pay the money and she told me she would let them know i was going to arrive to get the car transferred. As i arrived at the Manchester branch they knew nothing about me at all then i found out the car was out on a test drive and 20 mins later was told it had been sold i was not happy in the way this was handled at all. I was offered the same car better spec but over £1000 more on a lower interest rate and agreed to paying £187 a month over 5 years signed all the paperwork and was just waiting to receive a phone call for the finance to be accepted. i heard nothing for 5 days and sent a email with my full name email address and mobile number which i got a reply addressing me by my middle name not my first name stating they will contact the Manchester branch to phone me. after 2 more days had passed still no communication from them so i drove down and asked to speak to someone about if the fiance was granted or not, the lady said she had been trying to phone me and i know i had no missed calls she then asked for my mobile number and the one they had was not mine. she then told me the finance was rejected and another company would get in touch with me. The next day i received a text message asking me to phone the finance and gave me the number i just thought at this moment this is unacceptable, so i did and they agreed finance but a extra £35 a month over 5 years which i was not going to do. So i looked on the internet for the car i wanted and saw one from Renault Stockport £1000 less but interest rate a little higher and only £3 more on the finance a month over 5 years so i thought i would try and because i was rejected at the carpeople it made me think i must have bad credit rating but it was granted so i got the car from Renault Stockport so dont know why i was rejected but the point of this review was the bad service that was provided.
