Purchased a car in November a vw golf, ever since i had it i had a fault with my radio which i explained them to be a problem after bringing it to the Manchester branch on more than 3 occasions they still couldn't fix the problem and was wasting my time, my fuel costs and time of work. It now has been a year since the problem and they still haven't sorted it. I spoke to somebody on the phone who told me "if you can get a radio quicker then you ring the manufacturer themselves" which i was very shocked by after all the bad customer service they have already given me. When i asked for compensation they said they dont have a compensation procedure which is ridiculous. I would defiantly not advise to take a car with them with a warranty because i have had nothing but problems with them. I wish i didn't even have to give them one star.

Hello Jonathan I am sorry I have had to resort to writing to you personally, but when you get blocked from The Car Peoples twitter account and FaceBook Account. Then I am left no option. Here is our purchase so far.... Purchased a car for my wife Alfa Romeo 15th March 2016 On hand over day. Car was dirty log book incorrect name and has had to be returned ( still have no log book ) dent in back wing which was not there when we said we would purchase car. Car had to be returned to have dent done Dent was done but not a great job-still visible now after workshop said its been done. 2 weeks later same fault as we had on test drive... No electrics working on dash display so no rev meter no speedometer all display black. Telephoned and was told to book it in. I refused as I said the car was illegal to drive with no speedo so Ashton agreed for us to take the car back to them. Following day we telephoned to ask if car was ready ( we have not had one call to say when our car is ready WE do all the chasing ). The car was ready for collection so again I take my wife for her car. While Craig is driving it from the garage workshop to the forecourt the same fault happens again and we are sent home without our car again. The next day I telephone and ask if the car is fixed ( all this goes through a call centre in Sheffield- NOT ideal as you just repeat yourself ) Yes the car is ready today and is working fine. One week later we travel on the motorway and here whining from the rear wheel and I tell my wife Lesley thats a wheel bearing that needs replacing, we also notice there is oil being left on our drive. Another call to Sheffield to book the car in at Ashton and on Monday it was booked in. Monday night I telephoned to ask for an update. I was told it needed futher investigation Tuesday Parts needed ordering so come and collect car and re book it in! We collected car after it had been there for another 2 days to find that there was now a tin type rattle comming from the engine! This was not there on taking the car to Ashton. I told my wife to get back in the car and take it back. We told Craig about this and today is Thursday and we still have no car or progress report. Very unhappy with customer service and I will carry on now leaving reviews and comments on social networks about The Car People
