I would not recommend The car people Manchester, however I am currently dealing with the Sheffield branch and the service is great. They are helpful and polite. The reason I am now dealing with the Sheffield branch is because the car I originally purchased from the Manchester branch has now been written off. I had a crash in which the car is unrepairable for a reasonable price. I attempted to log a complaint with the dealership as I was charged for my monthly finance after the car was written off and I wasn't using it, and again I think I will be charged again this month. On a lighter note the sales partner I originally dealt with was helpful and polite, but from there my experience with The Car People Manchester went down. I was told that the car was completely fine and ready to take away but on the day I was suppose to pick it up there was a delay as the car needed work doing, I had already got rid of my old car expecting to pick my new car up on the date I was told, I needed a car and struggled to get to and from work due to the unexpected delay. As previously stated I did attempt to log a complaint but I felt that this was not taken seriously as it went no further. I must stress that the Car People Sheffield are brilliant and I would not want my experience of the Manchester branch to reflex badly on them - I would already recommend the Sheffield branch but would never go back to the Manchester branch hence my overall rating of 2.

Not the best experience, but it wasn’t massively bad. When I got to the dealership they wasn’t 100% helpful, I wasn’t made aware of any extra options available, e.g. petrol, modifications to the car. The car hadn’t been vacuumed inside. When I first viewed the car there was a parcel shelf, but when I picked the car up and took it home (without checking the boot previously) I realised it wasn’t there. I took the car back and the dealership didn’t resolve this with no cost to myself, they went halves on the cost for this, which was very inconvenient. I would recommend the dealership but I would also recommend they improve their service. However, they were very polite and any issues that were raised were sorted one way or another.

Really pleased and happy with the Car People in Ashton Under Lyne. Did have to take it back for windows and balancing to be sorted. They took it in in straight away and fixed both in a flash, was there an hour, not bad service at all, top marks for them on that one. If you want a helpful car dealership who are willing to look after you once you have driven away then look no further than the Car People, I will be going again

I would definitely recommend buying from the car people. No pressure on selling, so very helpful. They did bring me a courtesy car over Wigan when i had the faults im about to mention below. Slight moan i would have was that the car was not particularly brilliantly cleaned inside, could be me being fussy. It was not also starting properly so i popped it back in and they sorted it, took a little longer than it should be to be resolved and this did take a little shine off the sale, slight things have cost them full marks. But strangely enough i really do rate them and their customer service when you have problems is exceptional.

Happy with the car after a bit of an issue with the ECU, i was told this was on back order, 2 weeks to wait, totally honest, i didn't feel info from them not good, almost like being fobbed off so i went down there and threatened to pull plug on the deal, next day it arrived. i maybe being harsh but this was how i felt. Slight better communication needed. Despite this i would go back so they are doing something right

Had to wait for finances to clear, fortunately the car people were patient and understanding on this and as soon as we had it all in place the car was mine! Smooth and spot on with the car people...cant go wrong
