Absolutely shocking company, please stay away from them. Car shop Northampton have had several opportunities to fix the vehicle we bought from them however told us on several occasions there was no fix they could do. On asking to return the car under their own t&cs they have refused return of the vehicle and can now offer a repair. This was too late we have been without a car for 14 days no hire car offered, no sincere apology. Just pushing the blame back onto ourselves.

Buying from the Carshop should be done with caution Hard sell at the beginning although the advisors where helpful First impressions of after sales care is very poor- not helpful couldn’t careless attitude
All I will say is BUY with CAUTION! All I will say is BUY with CAUTION!! Bought a 2018 E class Mercedes with apparently 34000 miles, described as excellent condition and free of faults Received the car , instantly had issues with buckled wheels, worn brake discs, air suspension issues, scratched all over bodywork, now I can get past some of this as you could argue it’s 3/4 year old car, but this is a dealership that promotes how well they prep their cars, and their cars are fully checked prior to sale and delivery 😂 Well I may be the one unlucky soul that must of slipped that tight net, because this car was not by any means ‘excellent’ in fact I’d would class this car as more in the ‘auction room special’ category! Now I’ve had a few faults which I’ve tried to be lient with them on and covered some of the costs with them contributing a bit financially (I have all the supporting evidence!) but one fault they couldn’t fix was this annoying vibration every time I accelerated, on such a prestigious car, the drive you don’t expect it to be so bad, after several attempts by their own ‘mechanics’ they couldn’t find what was causing it, all the time trying their hardest to dismiss it and try get rid of me, but unfortunately for them that is not an easy thing to do! Today they advise I should reject the vehicle and they will pay me back market value for the vehicle, they also state the after market wheels I’ve fitted (which they knew about and were ok with 😂) should be removed and the old cracked knackered/dangerous ones the car came with be re fitted so they can re auction the car to recover some money , not a care for the unfortunate souls who would end buying it with damaged alloys and other issues , and then they try to get away with not paying my £8800 deposit plus costs to me as they says it’s lost value!😂 if anything it’s gained value by me spending money on it!😂 I have been in the motor trade as engineer for over 20 years, worked for many of the top insurance companies in Uk, im also an elected member of the engineering council, so I should know a thing or two about cars surly?😂 I’m now going to have to take this lot of car shop cowboys over to the financial ombudsman to rule a judgement as this company seem hell bent of selling dodgy cars for above retail prices and with no apparent comeback, well not this time! It seems they like money over anything else! This vehicles looks likes it’s done 60/70k not the 35k it’s showing in the odometer, it’s going to have a ECU interrogation to see if a mileage blocking device was used in this vehicle, as lot of the stock this company sells is ex company or lease cars, and as I work in this industry this has come up a fair few times in cases I’ve dealt with, where company cars have had mileages changed so leaseholder does not to occur charges when they are send back to the lease company’s, who in turn sell them at auction or have contracts with these big car supermarkets (like Car shop) , and most of these supermarkets don’t check and offload the stock straight to the public! I know as my car wasn’t checked prior to sale as if it was most of my issues would of been caught at pre sale inspection stage, which I doubt these guys do! Anyone else have simliar issues please email me as I’d like to hear more and I could possibly help too, raise awareness and help others not to get caught out! I will be using all my social platforms to raise awareness of this company and anyone else who thinks they can take hard earned money and provide shoddy goods! AVOID THIS PLACE!
Where shall I begin with this one….. please avoid at all costs!! Firstly, we were not fully informed of the price guarantee as were told on our initial visit if we found a car cheaper on Auto Trader it would be matched. After finding a cheaper deal we were then told it was out of a certain radius which was not presented to us on the first visit. We were not contacted when told we would be which is not great communication. I finally received a belated call to say the car was ready. When I asked if the paintwork on the door had been done and the seats had dried out where the window had been left open, I was told yes it had and was ready for collection. We therefore visited only to find the paintwork had not been done. They were apologetic and did arrange for this to be done the same day but this extended the length of time we were there. We asked for the one day's insurance we had paid extra for only to be told when going through the long process that they could not insure us and so we had to arrange our own insurance! One of the reasons for getting the advantage cover was that this was included. I therefore arranged my insurance on my phone and when I had completed this process was told there was no log book so the car could not be taxed online. We were told we would need to go to the post office which was a 20-minute drive and apply for a vehicle registration certificate. It was 5:20 by this point and the only offer given was that someone could drive us there to do it. I also noted there was a £25 fee for doing this which I am guessing would be payable by us even though we were not told at any time that there was no log book with the car. It was even suggested by one member of staff who worked there that we could take the car with us and go to the post office on the way home! So, they expected us to drive an untaxed car home with two young children, not impressed at all. I would like to point out that after I sent an email to them, I did get an apologetic response and my deposit back but this wasted a week of my time. I would not use this company again and would certainly not recommend them. I am glad to say I have since found a new car and the service received from that company was second to none so my faith has been restored but not with the Car Shop, Northampton.

The salesman was James Blewitt who was very helpful and very informative, all with a pleasant attitude.
Reserved a vehicle and when looking around it found a pool of standing water in the boot. Initially told “it’s meant to do that” before being told that it can be fixed (even though they didn’t know what the problem actually was). I didn’t take the vehicle but found the experience extremely off putting and decided to buy from a dealership instead, Especially after reading the poor reviews about after care offered by car shop. The salesman was a little pushy and didn’t show me any alternative vehicles despite me saying I was interested in other makes/ models. Suggests they were keen to get rid of a faulty vehicle and not very trustworthy.

So disappointed with @CarShopGB purchased a Jaguar with damage to one of the tyres to be told its not showing enough thread to change it prior to handover! no response from complaints dept! Ignored once sale went through! Avoid @CarShopGB Northampton.

A really great experience again from the car shop - from being met by James and then Dale a speedy and easy process.
Was very DISAPPOINTED To spend nearly Thirty Thousand pounds on a vehicle with these people only to find on picking the vehicle up there was NO fuel in the vehicle when asked if they was going to pot fuel in I was told they can’t leave fuel in vehicles it’s a hazard in my 40 years in the motor trade a vehicle when sold would at least have a quarter of a tank of fuel HA.HO
They are great to buy from but getting your hands on your car, take a flask and sandwiches. We waited for 50 mins before being called forward to deal with the paperwork. Could do with more staff. Would we buy from them again maybe.
