Tried to purchase a car here many years ago. After being subjected to hard sell videos on Paint and Upholstery protection videos, I finally got to make a £1000 deposit on my credit card and completed my finance application. Didn’t hear anything more from them until a cheque for £1000 arrived in the post around 10 days later. I can only assume my finance application was unsuccessful, however there was no explanatory letter, not even a complimentary slip. I didn’t bother to call them as clearly this wasn’t a company that operates with any regard to the customer. Surprisingly, the cheque cleared and I had made a lucky escape. Only making this review now as family member has had the pleasure of dealing with this outfit and it reminded me just how bad they are. He will no doubt be making a review once and if, his issues are ever rectified. Avoid at all costs, you have been warned.

Two cars within 6 months both with major faults - warranty waste of money as the wriggle out with clauses - please do not under any circumstances use these to purchase a car absolute bunch of conmen. Reporting to trading standards car not fit for purpose.

Second time in buying a car from The Car Shop. Both times traded in my Audi’s straight forward part exchange both times. Didn’t feel rushed or pressured at anytime. Everything was explained fully any questions I had Josh answered and was really helpful with helping me choose my new car and letting me have a good look around. Matt also was helpful in organising the final details and getting a few things sorted with the car before I collected. The only thing negative was the amount of time waiting to finalise details on collection of the car. Had an appointment for 5.30pm was waiting for over an hour and half then the car hadn’t been valeted even though this was agreed Debbie in collections was really helpful and organised for me to take the car back to get valeted. Mike on customer services has been helpful in organising bringing the car in to have a look at a couple of things what need rectifying. On the whole my experience was a good one. Not impressed! I purchased a Mercedes CLA for my wife only to realise that when we got home the Sat Nav software was missing, despite being advertised as having it. After 4 phone calls i was informed someone would come back to me within 24 hours. 3 weeks later and still no contact or reply... They are only interested in taking your money and clearly don’t care about providing a quality after care service. What ever happened to the days of making your customers feel valued for their custom? I honestly believe urgent training in the art of providing excellent customer service is required at this showroom.

Tried to book car for service. I am on service plan. They forgot to call back... When I called them again, they booked service and I booked replacement car. Of course no one booked it for me. and a lot more bad stories about this service... Previously they lost some parts from my car.. Etc...

A fantastic service from beginning to end. Alex H was helpful and informative, but without being pushy. He was patient whilst I thought about the various options and I felt confident in my final choice. Would certainly recommend.

BEWARE what you buy from this lot . They buy cars from auctions claim to do hundreds of checks and repairs then sell them for top dollar . Complete bullshit. I recently bought a peugeot 2008 and paid over 1600 plus my PX . The car I sold to them was MUCH BETTER THAN THE ONE I BOUGHT ! TRYING TO GET THEM TO DO REPAIR WORK WITHIN THEIR SO CALLED 3 MONTH WARRANTY IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE COWBOYS. NOW REPORTING THEM TO TRADING STANDARDS AND DVSA I HAVE REAL EVIDENCE THAT THEY ARE ISSUING BENT MOT CERTIFICATES I AM EX MET POLICE TRAFFIC COP YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !
