Most unpleasant “hard sell” ever from Carshop Northampton. Wasted half a day off work to be patronised and not “allowed” to test drive the car we’d pre-arranged to test drive (only “allowed” to do anything more than a cursory look if were prepared to sign up to buy the car the car there and then on their computer system Oh but they were willing to sell us finance we didn’t need and buy our current car off us that we didn’t want to sell, While this is no doubt simply the policy of the company rather than the fault of the individual sales man, the person we saw - Piotr Pasternak -was not a good combination with the sales policy applied. The forced style of telling us (a) we were very late ...which we weren’t (arrived 1215 for 12-1pm Booking), (b) said we should reserve in advance the car if we want to see it, and he acknowledged we had (we’d phoned the day before and asked to arrange to test drive it and agreed a slot of 12-1pm), (c) the repeated pushing that unless we buy it now we would lose it...and he was only trying to give his advice for my own good! Most bizarrely wouldn’t actually let us to look at the car....!!!, Found them through autotrader, wasted time going to a place over an hour away to be unable to see the thing and told how he knew better than us about what we wanted (without actually listening to us) After leaving we later phoned up to ask a question, and Piotr had no desire to talk to us and told us to send a text! A bad experience. Certainly not going back! PS The car was actually exactly what we were looking for, so looking forward to buying one from elsewhere in the next couple of days :)

Don’t fall for the service plan at Carshop Northampton, nonsense it basically worthless. Took my car in for an MOT the service center staff are rude and not even a little helpful, The car failed on emissions, not unusual for diesels, the so called senior customer service person basically refused to do explain the issue to my wife but did tell her if she drove the car away and crashed the police would prosecute her for driving a car that had failed an MOT!!! Despite having 2 weeks left on the valid MOT. Took it back a few days later for a retest and it passed, went to the car to find the key fob had stopped working and the car wouldn’t start, went back to the senior customer care again who told me there’s nothing he can do as he put his foot on the desk to tie his shoes!! Told me I would have to leave it till the next day but can’t promise anything and it’s “nothing they have done, it’s pure coincidence, the car was fine when they drive it out of the garage”. After a discussion telling him he’s returning my car faulty and they need to sort it he reluctantly got someone to come and reprogram the key. Cancelling the service plan and i will NOT be returning.

AVOID CARSHOP NORTHAMPTON - I honestly can’t stress this enough! I bought a 13 plate Ford S-Max from here in September and have had nothing but problems with it. The service from the service centre staff has been beyond appalling. My car actually broke down and got towed by the RAC 5 weeks after we bought it and the service team showed no empathy, were not apologetic and really weren’t interested in helping me until I started kicking off and even then my car still has ongoing problems which an independent garage confirmed. Please take your money and go somewhere where you will be treated better. I am disgusted by the Car Shop and really hope no one has to go through what I am. I am stuck with a shit car that is unreliable and unsafe to drive.

Bought a car from the Carshop Northampton that needed work, said we would go ahead if the work was done. When we went to pick the car up, we were told that we had 12 months warranty on the repair and part. Given the keys to the car, no V5, no tax, no petrol, no one went over the car, we weren’t given the opportunity to test drive. When we got to a garage to get petrol, the fault reappeared and the drivers door would not open! Absolutely appalled from start to finish. Took the car back and we were told that the door was only lubricated, never fixed or parts replaced like we were assured!! Still waiting for our money back. Been unable to talk to head office or a manager, as they won’t return calls. Disgusting service.
We (my wife and I) went to the Car Shop Northampton branch to search for options of the specific car model we had in mind. We find one that we thought might be good so we paid a deposit to secure the car in case we couldn't find other better options. We did find a better car so we contacted Carshop to cancel the reservation and get the refund. Over 4 months later we still to this day (17/10/18) have not received the refund and we're chasing it with the bank as we've lost all faith in Carshop. Avoid them at all costs.

Bought a car in June from the Car Shop Northampton, car has been good until late September when I needed to use my rear demister. Turns out that CarShop tried to remove the Mercedes sticker and broke the top few lines of the rear element. I phoned up about getting it fixed to be told that my car is no longer under warranty and that I would have to pay to get them to fix it. I am not sure how I was expected to test a rear element in the hottest summer on record, but apparently I was. Shocking customer service, will never be using again.
Huge waste of time CarShop Northampton. I have contacted CarShop regarding an Audi A3 where I spoke to a lady who asked me for the vehicle reg twice due to system error. She ran through the details of the car which were all correct and I confirmed that this is a car I would like to view. An appointment has been arranged since 4pm for 8pm as the car was available to view, therefore the staff had enough notice to make sure the car is ready for viewing, however this was not the case. I have then been contacted by an advisor directly, Piotr Pasternak (Peter), who confirmed the viewing of this particular car. Two hour drive later, we have been greeted by Peter and ran through the car details. The advisor then went to fetch the car and came back few minutes later to let us know that the car has actually been sold but the finance hasn’t been approved, so it is still available. I have not been told this information over the phone when querying the vehicle. I would expect CarShop to get in touch if such situation occurred, so my time is not wasted. Peter continued and went back to bring the car to take a look at. He returned few minutes later letting us know that unfortunately we won’t be able to view the car due to the keys being locked in the preparation/valeting garage as the car has been out on a test drive and they get cleaned after each drive. I would like to point out the cars which were on show in the shop indoors were not exactly clean. There were crumbs and bits in the boot of one of the cars and the cars looked like they were wiped and smeared with a dirty cloth and just left to dry. These cars are the first thing customers see and they are not kept up to standard for a dealer this size. Since the advisor knew I will be attending to see a specific car, I wasn’t too pleased with this situation. He then started explaining that he thought that I wanted to view a Hyundai and then a Citroen. Firstly, what would be the point in asking for the vehicle details during the initial call. Secondly, I have asked Peter about that car, therefore he knew exactly which car I was interested in. Thirdly, there is a big difference between an Audi and a Hyundai and Citroen, therefore they can’t be that easily confused. Peter carried on and started to blame their system and software and call centre staff stating that the advisors on the phones do not know which cars are available and which car’s aren’t. If that is the case, what is the point in customer service advice over the phone? Also, surely for a dealer this size there should not be any faults with the software and information that is being input such as appointment details. Overall, a very big waste of time and travel not being able to carry out a car viewing despite knowing of the appointment good few hours in advance. I do not recommend this service. This experience I encountered was incomparable to the service I received from CarShop’s competitors who were 100% honest about everything and all the details and didn’t carry out unnecessary questions. They were helpful with only the things that we needed help with and didn’t try to be pushy and didn’t waste time with anything extra or by being dishonest.

I bought a car from CarShop Northampton with a million faults the day after - and trying to get the Customer service team to rectify the issue has taken 3 months of rude staff , stressful phone conversation, chasing around the Customer Service manager for feedback . Very very unprofessional I would honestly not recommend anyone to this Dealer. NEVER AGAIN
