Do not Buy - I wish I could put zero I wish I could put zero. Do not buy unless you want a broken car in less than a year. Look up Car Shop unhappy customers on Facebook and you will see over 700 people on it and they call it Crap Shop. Bought a Jaguar E Pace 2019 from them end of May 2023 it ended up at their Warrington garage twice for issues with sensors then they sent an independent specialist for report after we said there is still an issue, report was useless. 7 months later gearbox fails automatic gearbox 40K miles should not fail! Now it’s been 2 months of the road costing 7K for a new gearbox and Crap Shop (Car Shop Sheffield) couldn’t car less and saying it’s general wear and tear and we should of got a mechanical service check when we bought it - why should we when we paid 26K for a car that shouldn’t have issues. Customer service shocking. Buy elsewhere for a dealer with warranty. After care shown over these past two months is crazy. Will never buy from them again.

The worst experience with a car shop! Terrible customer service and managers. They are not transparent at all. They sold me a car with broken aircon (they pretended they fixed it while my car was on warranty, but once it expired they basically told me that it was not their problem). They kept my car overnight once, without my consent, when I took it for MOT, and I could not go to work the day after! then they denied it! They changed one of my front tyres and never thought of telling me that changing only one tyre is not safe. They also kept me waiting outside the shop for more than 3 hours (in freezing winter) and denied me a courtesy car. They lost my tyre lock set, they do not store records to prove complains, they were always late when I requested something, they would not respond to my complain emails (they only want phone calls, obviously, as they do not want anything recorded...), they are not part of the Motor Ombudsman (which make complains even more difficult), called me liar... It is an absolute mess! and considering how many good places to buy a car you can find in Sheffield... choosing the CarShop is not really worthy. And as an answer to your response, as I already see it coming: 1.- My aircon was never fully repaired. Despite of your insistence. 2.- YOU NEVER TOLD ME THAT YOU WERE GOING TO KEEP MY CAR OVER NIGHT!!!!!!!!! AND YOU CAN NOT PROVE IT BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY RECORDS! Please, do NOT call me a liar again; I could not go to work on the days after because I did not even have time to arrange a lift. 3.- I will never return to your garage; so you can also send me the money back for the MOT4Life that I paid 2 years ago, if you wish, however I know that you wont. Warmest regards, Paola.
Purchased a high end Mercedes from CarShop in Sheffield. Within 24 hrs the engine light came on whilst on the motorway and the car went into "Limp Mode" spoke to central customer services who were not very helpful at all (I'm only a customer) so i decided to show up in person at the sheffield depot, was told it was okay to drive and it required a couple of sensers. Re booked the car in on the earliest possible date ( a week later as they were busy!!) Took the car in got a call 4 hrs later we need to order the parts can you bring it back in 2 weeks as our diary is full!!! The long and short of it I have been sold a car that is dangerous and un roadworthy, they wouldn't give a courtesy car either and I am now losing money as i cannot do my job. Terrible company and customer service

Was a great experience with no pressure with happy, friendly staff especially Amy, David and Darren. Will recommend you to family and friends.
bought a car a corsa from the car people sheffield, it looked great I did 1500 k it was a crock car people would not help even though we had gap insurance I spent over 1000 pounds on it at Vauxhall dealers and it still would not run so I went to eric steads I now own a mg brilliant car and a great deal I paid 6000 pounds for the corsa plus repair bills steads wear brilliant and after care is top notch thanks for nothing car people I bought the car to get to work and back home I spent more time on the bus and I was still paying 275 pounds a month for a car that would not run don't buy from car people if it goes wrong after just a few miles they don't want to no you buy at your peral go some were else
We came into the car people in sheffield not sure on what car we were wanting to purchase. They gave us time and space to look around without feeling pressured and chose a mini. We got the salesman David who got the keys and allowed us time to look around the vehicle on our own before taking us out for a test drive. He then explaining all the documentation very clearly and covered free mot for life and service plans. David was great and we drove away in the car the same day. Thanks for all your help.
We will never ever return to ANY Car People branches, because of the experience we had at The Sheffield branch, the experience we had following our purchase, and the experience we had when Head Office finally responded to us. On our first visit to The Car People, Sheffield, We were told that - The Car People may not be the cheapest option around, but you will not receive customer service like this anywhere else. Well, if we paid extra for their 'customer service' we were robbed! Do not be seduced by the plentiful forecourt and swanky showroom .. you WILL pay for these 'extras' and if you have any issues The Car People will make it blatantly clear that they do not care. Once they have your money they could not care less about you. - We were seen 40 minutes late for our Hand Over appointment, having already arrived 20 minutes early and thus waiting for an hour in total; at no point during our wait did anyone offer us a drink or the option to be seen by another Hand Over Executive, and at no point did Luke acknowledge us; despite being aware we were waiting for him, and despite walking past us (with no other customer present) three times. - Once we were greeted by Luke we were apologised to in a very dismissive way, and then subjected to awkward and personal (to him) small talk instead of being properly shown the workings of our new car. - The Manager Mr Fish failed to return my call, despite me making a clear request that he call me back. I thus resorted to emails in order to ensure that he received my messages. During these emails Mr Fish quickly became rude and was not helpful at all. - On the evening of the 27th July our car failed to start, so we were forced to use a local taxi company instead. The morning of the 28th an onsite mechanic jump-started our car and took a reading on a voltage meter; the reading was low. Once the car was taken to a local garage it was found to have a 'duff' battery, only reading 39%, the mechanic at the VAT registered garage advised us that anything under a 75% reading is not a suitable battery and should not be used in a vehicle. My wife queried whether this 'duff' battery sold to us in our new car could be an oversight, bearing in mind the 'full' Level 2 service which was stated to have been carried out by yourselves, we were advised that it certainly should have been picked up in a service, and prior to selling on to a customer. - As soon as the voltage meter reading was taken my wife immediately called The Car People and spoke to Jared to find out how we go about having an official diagnostic, and any necessary works, at a local VAT registered garage under the Warranty from The Car People - this is when we discovered that, unless you take out the extended warranty, the car usually has to be returned to the branch it was bought from. At our initial visit to The Car People we queried with Joshua the 3 month warranty included in the price of the car, he advised us we would not have to return to Sheffield and that we could take the car to any VAT registered garage we were very clear in querying the warranty INCLUDED in the price of the car, and we were at NO point confused with the different warranty options; even going so far as to repeat back to Joshua what we had heard, understandably so, as the distance from where we live to Sheffield is so great, and he agreed this was the case. - On the day of the 28th July my wife called to speak to Jared a second time (as arranged with Jared) but was told he was unavailable, at this point she thought it pertinent to speak to Mr Fish as he was fully aware of all our previous issues, but he was also unavailable. My wife asked (very clearly - I was present during the phone call) that Jared return her call and Mr Fish also return her call, Jared returned her call within 30 minutes, Mr Fish failed to respond. - On the 1st August I received an email from Mr Fish which was clearly sent to me in error .. I will quote it here: 'Gill, I don’t often say this but I think we offer this woman her money back! Steve.'. I responded to this email so Mr Fish was made aware of his error, and asked not to be referred to as 'this woman', he responded with no apology at all, and the offer for us to return our car for a full refund; a ridiculous and impractical 'resolution' to our issues - one that does not help us at all but inconveniences us further, and rather helps The Car People by getting us to go away!

Smashing car. Very good value for money and i have had no issues with it up to now, the only thing was that there was some wax left on the car and when I washed it off it revealed a few scratches which is disappointing but I don't really mind too much because the car was such a good price. This is my second car from The car People in Sheffield and I would use them again and recommend them.
