Disappointing Tesla Model 3 Experience & Poor Service from CarTime I was excited to purchase a Tesla Model 3, but my experience has been overshadowed by technical issues and unhelpful service from Bury. Not only did I encounter serious problems with the car shortly after purchase, but it has now cost me over £2,000 in repairs that should have been covered under warranty. Soon after buying the car, I noticed issues with the cooling system, which is crucial for an electric vehicle—not only for cabin comfort but for maintaining safe battery temperatures. This system directly affects battery health and performance, so I was concerned. I also experienced troubling noises from the suspension that seemed out of place for a nearly-new car. When I called Bury about these issues, they told me they’d need the car for ten days to investigate, which I couldn’t accommodate. Left with no other choice, I went directly to a Tesla dealer. The dealer confirmed both issues were pre-existing and resolved the cooling system problem, acknowledging it as a critical defect. However, when I tried to recover the repair costs from Bury, they flatly refused, despite the fact the car was still under warranty at the time of purchase. On top of that, they dismissed the suspension issue, labeling it as “wear and tear,” despite the fact that I’d driven the car less than 1,000 miles. Their refusal to address either issue has cost me over £2,000 in repairs and left me feeling completely unsupported. I’m extremely disappointed with Bury. Their lack of accountability, refusal to honor warranty obligations, and poor customer support have made this experience far more costly and stressful than it ever should have been. If you’re considering purchasing a Tesla or any electric vehicle from them, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
I purchased a vehicle from CarTime (Bury) under the agreement that they would repair all the scratches and imperfections. It took an unreasonably long time just to get the car booked in, and when they finally did, their so-called "polishing" made absolutely no difference—the car looked exactly the same upon return. To make matters worse, the headlight was cracked when we got it back, yet they are falsely accusing us of causing the damage, despite us having clear photographic evidence to the contrary. Their dishonesty and poor customer service have been shocking throughout this entire process. We've had to take the car back twice now, causing us significant inconvenience. I strongly advise against purchasing a car from CarTime. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere!

TWhere to start. Me and my partners experience with car time. I'm editing this review due to the aftercare and the sales team. Moncef el bouhmadi had us do a review there and then after the sale. We purchased the vehicle around ten months ago. After a few weeks it started to show problems with the clutch. We called up and was told it was to busy for them to check the problem. When we had taken the extra warranty out we was promised that any problems with vehicle would be dealt with in house and a courtesy vehicle would be arrange. Today I have been charged 95 pounds after taking the vehicle in for a service and asking them to look at the problem. I would stay away from this company for your future vehicle
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I have percervered for 18months now with this company. I spent over £30,000 on a vehicle for a fault to show within weeks of me owning it. Repairs were carried out... repeatedly. The car has allegedly had 3 new DPFs, a whole engine rebuild, a new Turbo and is still showing a fault. Cartime have now run out of ideas and referred me to Landrover who advised me this is a DPF issue. I have repeatedly asked for a straight swap for a new vehicle and each time I end up being placed with the sales team who think I'm there to spend more money?? The last time this happened my vehicle has apparently halved in value and is now only worth £15,000 - despite their forecourt prices still saying around £30,000. The company are not affiliated with the Motor Ombudsman (as I discovered when I tried to complain) which as previous people have stated screams suspicious. I have received no financial compensation from the finance payments I make each month, to insurance costs, to taxi costs etc - despite Cartime and other garages probably having my car just as much as I have. All I have requested from the start is a vehicle of the value I spent, that is fit for purpose and works. This has repeatedly been refused. At what point will Matt Kay hold his hands up and stop pumping money into endless repairs? To add to this - my vehicle (currently in Landrovers garage AGAIN) is due to fail it's MOT in 2 days. So my insurance will be void. The nightmare with Cartime never ends!!

I would avoid like the plague, if I could give 0 stars I would. Customer service was appalling and became very rude on asking questions, I ordered a car from a different garage on the same day with excellent customer service.
Reserved this vehicle after viewing online. Arranged an appointment to view with Aiden. After a test drive noticed a few minor details on the bodywork (I am very picky) agreed the sale and Aiden assured us that this would be corrected. Collected the vehicle three days later and very happy with the result. Aiden was very friendly knowledgeable and very professional easy to speak to and we felt no pressure to buy. I purchased a tesla 3. When I saw the car and at the time of test it had aero wheel trim, wasn't there on collection time. The car didn't lock, called the sales staff, left messages for manager. Had no response. The charger port wasn't engaging. I can't go to tesla cause after 3 weeks still havent had my v5. Don't know if they sent it to dvla. Every time I called, I was told, he will call you back. It's been more than 2 weeks. Not sure what rating should I give. If you can avoid keep away from this place. Philip

DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THEM We bought our car in summer 2022 , a month after it showed low oil level and dashboard lighted with faults like a Christmas tree . Awful service , ignoring , answers don’t make any sense or help. Year ago the car finally died . Not working at all . We had a long 1 year process of complaining to different authorities. We won an investigation with Ombudsman and can’t wait to give them that car back . An absolute garbage. P.S. They still ignoring to pick up the car ! AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP

Beware of this garage. Car time sold a car with too many issues which was really hard for me to find out on test drive. I bought discovery sports ( Rk16XUN ) and cost me £30k including warranty and service plan.I’m trying my best to explain all the issues below: 1. The Car was sold with roughly 95% DPF blocked. DPF blocked warning signs came on just after few weeks of buying the car. Car time sent my car to few different places to find the problem as they couldn’t find anything. One of the garage was in proper jungle and it’s called Steve Parker in Rochdale and they advised to replace the DPF.I was so much worried as the 1st MOT Failed on emissions. Finally Car time replaced the DPF but they got USED DPF from scrap yard which a dealer should not do ( I found this from a technician called STUART). Dealer must always use new part. Even one day one of the technician took my car in his house in Burnley for overnight. I tracked my car and found it.However, I did not say anything that time as long as my car runs fine but I wasn't very happy on repair. Altogether it took 2/3 months to fix this issue. 2. The Car was sold with Timing chain problem. I heard noise from engine when I did test drive but I wasn’t familiar with that noise. I thought the noise is quite normal but Few months later the noise became more louder. I had contacted with AA recovery and recovery took the car to Cartime and technician found the timing chain is about to failed. Car time contacted Warranty company (RAMP) but Ramp saying that they cover failed components. As the car is still drivable, they can’t authorities the repair. I called ramp and had long discussions. Basically Ramp wants the timing chain to be failed or snapped and then they will cover but I couldn’t make them understand that if timing chain snapped while I m driving with my kids on motorway, can you imagine the consequences. My whole family might die. But I feel like I’m taking with robot. Reply is the same that we only cover failed component. However, I paid to Car Time (£1180) to repair the timing chain but again Car Time did dodgy repair. Different Kind of engine noise came one week later. Now car time found injector wasn’t sealed properly. It took another 2/3 months to fix this but the problem hasn’t been solved fully. Now engine oil leaking. Went back to car time. Now they found timing chain cover gasket is leaking. Again 2/3 months to fix. After that I feel the car is struggling to change gear( jerking when changing gears, engine shaking, steering wheel vibrating). Went back to car time and they couldn’t find the problem and sent my car to a garage called THAMESIDE TRANSMISSION. That garage found engine oil leaking from top of the engine and as the car timing chain was changed by car time, THAMESIDE TRANSMISSION doesn’t want to touch the car. Cartime garage completely destroyed my car engine. I asked few staff members to provide me owner email address but no one had braved. I will never recommend CarTime.I’m planning to take legal action but all I can say ignore Cartime. Thanks for reading such a long reviews. Abdul Malik 07427108494
