Just before Christmas I bought a BMW from Carwhinley. They couldn't be more helpful they drove from Carlise to Meet us in Leicester I come from Norfolk dropped car off and they went back by Train. Lovely car.

Their website touts that they do not sell crash repairs and they source only the best cars yada yada. Went to view a Nissan Note today 22/05/21 and not one body panel lined up correctly the car has obviously been crash repaired, just not that well. Why can't dealers just be honest! Im glad no one came out to see me as I was not best pleased. Stop wasti ng peoples time, I know some cars have defect just be upfront about them!

I've used many car dealers in Cumbria throughout the years, but none like this, Carwhinley are incredibly helpful, excellent communication every step of the way, sorted every issue I had with ease, THEN delivered the vehicle to me, which is a 60 mile round trip. Absolutely over the moon and very grateful for such a wonderful service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

In brief. I paid a £200 deposit on a car which I was told needed a new clutch. I was later also told that it was jumping out of gear. At this point I was offered my deposit refunded. At first I declined but after about 15 minutes I reflected and thought that a car needing a new clutch and a gearbox repair couldn't be much cop so I rang back and accepted their offer of my deposit refund. 2 months later after having been fobbed off with lies and excuses, I still hadn't received what they volunteered to give me. I was forced to recover this deposit by alternative means. Beware!!

Recent experience of trading in and buying was a very pleasant one. I am a straight talker and like people to be the sane. Graham was just that and we quickly & realistically agreed on the deal The necessary prep work was carried out faultlesly and on time and they stood 2 new tyres out of courtesy and respect. Stuart efficiently dealt with the paperwork and i drove off in my stonking new car, feeling valued and satisfied. Great Scott recommends these guys highly.☺

Purchased a Peugeot 207 diesel from Carwhinley Cars last August 2017 with nine months MOT. They promised to carry out a safety check and repair scratched paintwork before delivery. I stupidly paid cash. They held the car for a week and when it was delivered there was no sign of any work having been done to the vehicle. No paper work to confirm work done. They said this work was carried out by Gates garage Ltd but Gates deny this ever happened. The car engine stopped on three occasions without explanation and failed its MOT in May 2018 with a broken rear suspension spring and failed front brake. I have had the work carried out at considerable expense because both rear springs had to be replaced. The mechanic said that the broken spring was broken long before I bought the car from Carwhinley. I would not go near this bunch of rogues again. Having written to Mr Lightfoot on numerous occasions and having phoned till I lost count I could not get a response from him. Definitely one to avoid. It was my intention to take him to County Court but have been advised that I have probably left it too late especially since I have had the repair work carried out. I have been told I should not have undertaken the repairs because it has weakened my case. Apparently that's how the law works.

I have purchased several cars from carwhinley,and have always had excellent service.all the cars were reliable and clean,and i plan to buy my next one from them.well done,and keep up the good work!
