The car broke down after two months but the warranty should have covered it. Chan said the insurer refused to pay, and would not give us the information to contact them ourselves to sort it. In fact, after initial contact it was very difficult to get hold of Chan . We're not recommending this dealer to other people; firstly because the car broke down but secondly because there was no attempt to help us when things went wrong. Very disappointing.

Sorry to hear this,if its under 6 months we would cover it in any condition .But car was bought nearly 1 year ago and as you said the fault came as not maintaining the oil level .its the drivers responsible to check all the levels in the car after a period of time .i think even the dealer showroom wont cover this problem. I dont agree with your review as i did offer to do the repair in trade price from our regular Mechanic. I do have the inspection report given by AA under BCA assured scheme for this car which says every thing was checked and clear.

You know very well that i spoke to the warranty company behalf of you , Secondly they refused the repair claim because no one was contacted about the repair in first stage only the bills from a private garage for the repair was provided for the claim, i tried my best to explain them but they rejected because they said any one could bring a bill from a know garage and claim the money. In the terms and condition its clearly mentioned that repairs should be informed prior to any repair being carried out. its just as insurance if anything happens to our car we need to contact them not just to do the work our-self and send the invoices for the claim. You couldn't contact me because i was not in the country for a week due to a emergency and i did had a clear voice mail to contact me through email . I really feel bad for what had happened to you but,i am afraid its your mistake as you dint contact in first stage.
The man at Chans Cars was alright during the sale, the car wasn't quite as advertised as the tyres were worn and it said the car had 6 months MOT. I travelled 200 miles to the dealership to find the car had no MOT, he offered to do it the next morning but after travelling such a long way I wasn't willing to make the journey twice after being told the car was ready to go. I asked him to cover the cost of an MOT and he offered me £20 and nothing more which I obviously wasn't happy about.

Hi, sorry it was my fault Not having checked the mot record but i did offered to get a new mot at free of cost or i did offered £35 not £20 as it cost me £35 to do a mot ,Tyres wear bit worn but it was not illegal as it got more than 2 mm thread on it and it a used car that i am selling not a new cars with new tyres.
