There does appear to be a gentleman on a one man mission to tell everyone how hurt he was by this company. It's becoming painfully obvious that anyone with the sole intention of ruining a business is probably the type of person who asked for the world and was hurt when he didn't get it on a platter. Four years of using this company and couldn't say a bad word about them. Gemma is mentioned a number of times too and once again cannot fault her for a second.

I was supposed to have my car MOT'd there in Marc h of this year. They closed the garage and didn't bother to notify me, so my drive there on the 26th March was a waste of time. I let that go, as everyone and their mate is blaming COVID-19 for everything they don't do or do wrong, so... When they opened up again, they contacted me and I rebooked. The car also needed a rear light cluster fitting, new brake pads fitting and (as I found out once the car was with them), a new back wheel, as mine was cracked (which explained the very slow puncture I had). I provided the parts. The light cluster I supplied was faulty, so I had to order another and start the return process via Paypal for the faulty light. I asked them to write a short email explaining the fault, so I could present this to Paypal if need be. I made a point of asking them to write this email for me as soon as possible. I received it 6 days later! I called them once they had the car for a few days to find out the approximate cost. Their receptionist, Gemma told me the mechanic dealing with it, Paul was "just on a call" and would call me straight back. I was waiting to have a shower and go out, so thought I would wait the few minutes it would take for the mechanic to finish the call he was on and call me. After 1.5 hours waiting with no call back, I had a shower and went out. It was then 11am. I received no call over the next 1.5 hours, so called them to chase it up. I said to Gemma that no one called me back, and instead of apologising, she said very abrupt and rudely,"well, he's out on deliveries now - I'll get him to call you when he gets back in about half an hour". I was infuriated that she didn't even feel she should apologise on behalf of the company for their screw-up! 5.30pm came and went with no call. I called first thing the next morning to complain, and when I did, Gemma's response was,"it's not down to me, I did my bit, so...". What a disgusting & rude attitude to have!! I wonder which of the customer services Gemma went on where they taught her THAT response?!?! The invoice I received was between 50%-60% more expensive than the other garages I subsequently contacted. I spoke to 4 other garages in Cheriton/Folkestone - NONE of them had a good word to say about Cheriton Motor House, and in fact, 2 that used to have dealings with them refuse to have anything to do with them now!! They weren't surprised when I told them about Gemma's rude & abhorrent response to me, apparently quite a few customers have complained about this sham-of-a-company, including one lady who took her car in for some non-essential work, only to find out they closed for COVID-19 and didn't bother to contact her so she could collect her car and be able to use it whilst they were closed!! I'm sure she received a mouthful from their bad-attitude receptionist, Gemma too!! I finally picked my car up & instantly saw one of the warning lights was still on. I specifically told them this light was on and I didn't know what it was for and could they sort it out. I ended up checking out myself, finding the error code, going on the internet and finding out what the problem was. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!! So they drove the car out of the garage, with the light still on right in front of them, and didn't bother to attend to it, as I instructed! I didn't bother to get the wheel and light cluster out for a couple of days. When I did, there was no MV3 alloy wheel or (nearly-new) tyre!! Knowing I would no doubt get more abuse from Gemma if I called, I thought I would email them to see if they would dare give me that attitude in writing; of course not. I told them they should not have just assumed I wouldn't want the alloy and tyre, and, as it was their screw up (to add to the growing list), they should return the wheel to me. The response was to refuse, and instead tell they they were going to leave it out on the street!! Well, I sat at a distance and watched them close the garage that day, and NO wheel was put outside, so they stole my wheel, worth £150, even with the crack. On top of all this, I got a quote for some cosmetic work last year from them, and asked for another this year. They quoted me £240 last year and £550 this year!!! I subsequently found out this is because the bodywork company they used no longer wants anything to do with them because of their shady practices. Do yourself and favour and do not use this awful company. Google reviews has 25% of their customers giving them 1 star, and mentioning how ride Gemma is. If I could give 0 stars I would

How odd. I have cash to spend on a cheap runaround to save my new M4 from Winter hazards. I called and was placed on hold for a sales person, only to return to the person who picked the phone up to be told they have nothing "cheap" and couldn't help me. My budget is £2K to £5K ... and I know there's a Wagon "R" on their forecourt now for £1500. I guess the initial indifference has saved me from a bad experience after spening my money. I will go elsewhere and not to Cheriton Motor House.
