Discussion with Chiswick Trade Cars on the telephone regarding a vehicle. Every time I spoke with the same person the story of the car changed, ownership details changed, service history (or lack of changed). Price advertised at 13k was to be sold at 13k “spares or repairs)!! I was then told he was selling the vehicle for a friend,(clearly not part of the garage sales) The story gets even more complicated! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
I bought a 24 year old Jag from Chiswick Trade Cars, arranged a viewing with them, Gave the car a good going over prior to agreeing a deal, and swiftly settled up and drove the car away. I’m very pleased with my purchase, in this instance the guys at Chiswick trade cars had one of the best examples of a classic Jag I have seen in a long time and they were all very friendly and helpful.

Bought a Mitsubishi lancer just over a year ago as px. Turns out it had a seized brake caliper. Trying to sell it in now and it turns out it's an import which was never disclosed during the sale. Really disappointed with the dishonesty at Chiswick Trade Cars.
In spite of the earlier negative reviews I inquired re a Nissan micra convertible Chiswick Trade Cars were selling. They were extremely helpful in giving me information which allowed me to book a flight from Scotland to view the car and the salesman even told me how far it was to walk from Acton Town underground to their premises and we agreed a time when I would visit them. However at 8pm that night he called me and said the car was sold. They have failed to give me an explanation of why they agreed to meet me to view the car when they had already sold it. So I say beware of this company.
Antony Breden from Chiswick Trade Cars in response to Beware
Dear Sir, We are very sorry that you felt that you had a bad experience when dealing with us. However, as we recall, you were in contact with us over a number of weeks regarding the Nissan Micra. Our vehicles are advertised at very competitive prices and consequently we have lots of interest from many potential buyers in all of our vehicles across various platforms. This particular car had a very high amount of interest. We offer our vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis, unless a customer requests to pay a holding deposit on a vehicle. If a deposit is left, a customer has the opportunity of inspecting/test driving the car at their convenience safe in the knowledge that the vehicle will not be sold in the interim. Unfortunately you decided not to do this, opting to come and view the car. In the meantime, we had interest from other buyers and the car was sold. We contacted you immediately to make you aware of the sale, but unfortunately you had already purchased flights to London. We're very sorry for any financial loss you may have incurred, and we hope that you have since found the right car for you.
My friend bought a car from this company, and unfortunately she did not ask me to accompany her. She showed me the car the next day and I was appalled, especially as she had driven at motorway speeds. Knowing little about cars, she was misled . The car was in a terrible state having been in a front end collision. The bonnet and other panels were not properly attached and misaligned. The two front wings were attached with construction adhesive called 'gripfil', deigned for fixing wood. Having a long Experience with automotive repair I was just astounded this car was not in a breakers yard. The interior was badly worn, the paintwork was badly faded, and the front end panels were mismatched and obviously slapped without any attention. Several of the lights were not functioning including tail lights a headlight and indicators on the offside. What shocked me the most was one of the 5 spoke alloy wheels had only four spokes left, the fifth being snapped right through, in my opinion in the Accident. My friend, who has no experience with the motor trade was told that a Category D write , and I quote, 'means nothing, you can just ignore it.' The car had a new MOT, provided from an under the rail arches garage near the stated address of Chiswick trade cars. this car was so far from being up to MOT standard that the MOT was laughable.

Dear Sir, We are very sorry that you feel that your friend had a bad experience when dealing with us. Unfortunately your review does not mention any particular vehicle and we do not recall receiving any contact with such a complaint. Consequently we are unable to help you resolve any issues you may have with the vehicle if we haven't been made aware. Please feel free to contact us. Many thanks.
After not long passing my test 4 years ago Chiswick trade cars did a fantastic job helping me find the right first car. They was helpful, welcoming, polite and patient. Ive now decided to change cars (no other reson on there then I just want to) so going back to Chiswick trade cars was a given. I choose the car I wanted on their website when I arrived the car was clean and in the condition advised (very good) I had a test drive and completed the paper work at ease again leaving a very happy customer. Both cars I've had from Chiswick trade cars have been a pleasure a drive. After using Chiswick trade cars twice I was strongly recommend them.
Chiswick Trade Cars had the c4 diesel listed on ebay for £1500 we agreed a sale price of £1500 if they delivered it to me in somerset as i am disabled which they did. The car arrived the listing was for a good condition car stating all extras some of which were not present including service history the car has a faulty gearbox 2nd gear the clutch is worn out, the glovebox broken heated seats that are faulty a passenger mirror glued on with mastic which was the only fault they described to me over the phone the radio satnav unit is faulty and noisy. The car should have tyre pressure sensors but these have been removed the heater has a mind of its own the battery is worn out when there delivery people arrived i was forced into signing an invoice stating trade sale which unfortunately due to new legislation means nothing unless the vehicle was a non runner and towed here it was driven here. I have asked for a refund numerous times now they ignore calls and messages. I am going to pursue for my money back.
I am really pleased with my new Honda from Chiswick Trade Cars. It was extremely good value for money and It runs great. The sales team were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them.
