I can't fault Church's Performance Cars one bit. I recently bought an S4 Avant from them, a car which for a while I have been trying to find the perfect one. I saw it on Auto Trader and immediately called them up to ask a few questions. They were very helpful and gave me all the information I needed. I then call back and asked if I could put a deposit down as they are a few hours drive for me and I didn't want to lose it, and they said I could. They then look the car off their website and Auto Trader immediately and said it was mine. I then got a call to say there was a stone chip and they wanted to fix it before I took it away, something that didn't bother me too much but the fact they wanted the car to look perfect made me realise they take very good care of their cars! Something me and my in-laws definitely noticed when we got to the show room! They were so friendly and easy to chat to when we got there, something that made me feel very relaxed and comfortable about buying from them. There was no pushy sales, just if you like it, it's yours. So I just want to thank you all for the smooth and easy purchase of my new car. I love it!
Charlie at Church's Performance Cars went out his way to rectify a mishap and went above and beyond ensuring that I was happy. A credit to Glenn he helped to remediate the issue swiftly and assured me Jon who I never met initially would give me an honest explanation of my 1st visit. Again I travelled down and before asked of the bodywork of the car even though it had just been done I asked for clarification and Charlie went all the way cleaning an already valeted car and gave it a proper inspection, getting others to check to ensure I would be satisfied. I travelled down and It was a shame I wasn’t patient to trust them. Don’t know who the other guy was who I had a bad experience with but Charlie, Jon and Glenn were superb and I will sure to be buying more cars from them and I have complete trust in them that I won’t bother travelling to inspect the car now and will just pay and either pick up or get it delivered because they have high standards it’s now evidently clear and they will make sure the work they do is fit for a King or Queen. No BS, no odd job fix or amateur work. They really care about the customer and the cars.

Struck a deal with Churchs Performance Cars & left a deposit for a BMW M5. Seemed like a very good outfit....... until they got my money. I asked to have the car inspected but all they did was give it to a garage they regularly use who gave it a thumbs up, which in my opinion was not unbiased. So I requested the car be taken to the supplying/servicing main dealer for a thorough inspection at MY COST. I was told they are not going to that. VERY SUSPICIOUS. When I asked for my deposit back I was told I wasn’t getting it back. Then came the plethora of emails back & forth. Finally they capitulated under threat of having the car inspected after the purchase and anything found wrong with the car will be dealt with through legal channels. The BMW inspection found the diff seal leaking & new discs required on the next brake pad change.. No big deal, We now knew what we were buying and the cost to get it rectified. That’s all I wanted, PEACE OF MIND. They completely ruined my buying experience of a car I had always wanted with thier cowboy attitude which is something I last experienced back in the1980s.. On the day of collection, I once again inspected the car before I paid for it but found a HUGE scratch on the passenger door which they denied knowing about and then went ahead and blamed the main dealer where the car was inspected and refused to accept responsibility for the damage. I don’t even think Arthur Daley would have the balls to say such a thing. The car was in thier care but couldn’t give a damn once they had my deposit. And on top of that, the faults I pointed to them when I first viewed the car had not been rectified even though they told me they have. Great garage they use for thier inspections, yes?!! My brother was interested in an M2 they had for sale but flatly refused to buy anything from this outfit after my experience. The front looks good but most of the cars don’t belong to them and are infact SOR. I must say, credit where it’s due, they refused to accept payment for the BMW inspection that I had requested but I think this was more out of eating a large slice of humble pie rather than repairing a relationship for my return of custom. Take my advice, if they have a car you want, go elsewhere and get it. You’ll feel better about buying it from someone honest. If you decide to deal with these tyrants, get EVERYTHING in writing and take a picture of every panel of the car of your choice before you leave. DO NOT TRUST THIS OUTFIT. They are smiling assassins. I know you cannot please every customer 100% of the time but when you ask the salesman isn’t the customer always right and his reply is NO! NOT REALLY. Then alarm bells should be ringing for other perspective customers.

Glenn Thorpe from Church's Performance Cars in response to BUYER BEWARE
As a business owner I do recognise that occasionally things go wrong or mistakes can be made and when this happens I am always willing to put my hands up, apologise and accept criticism where it is due. On this occasion I am pushing back because the review you have left is unfair and misleading. You placed a deposit on 10th December on an outstanding 2007 M5 at a discounted price which you negotiated on the express agreement that collection was to take place on or before 30th December to meet our business needs (3 weeks on hold is a little more than we usually like to agree to). During this time we turned away a significantly higher offer on the car which is of course only right. As the 30th Dec approached you promised that you would honour your commitment to collect on New Year’s Eve, however in the last week, you went on the missing list, avoiding our urgent calls to reach you and not replying to our messages. You then contacted us on the 3rd of January saying you had been busy with work, but insisting that the car was inspected at Vines BMW Redhill, no where else, 15 miles away from us, prior to completion of the sale. This was not nor ever would have been part of any previous request or agreement. We view this as an entirely unreasonable request at such a late stage especially as the car had been serviced at Vines Redhill less than two months prior, inspected by a reputable local garage. You are correct that we reluctantly relented and took the car to BMW two weeks later when you still hadn’t collected. It is a shame that good relations broke down, the M5 you bought is a truly outstanding car as confirmed in the end by Vines, I am resolute we did nothing wrong and that your lack of integrity in keeping to the original deal was to blame for the bad feeling. I resent your comment that we are a business of SOR stock this is simply not true, we sold over 400 cars in 2018, of those less than 10 were sold on sale or return. We currently have over 60 cars in stock, all ours. We do pride ourselves having great cars and good customer relations. However doing business in a pleasant and upright way cuts both ways and most of our customer play their part, unfortunately you did not.
Called Churchs Performance Cars to make a deposit on car I wanted. Dealer busy so asked for him to call back nothing for an hour , sent an e mail as well an hour later one came back saying we have taken deposit an hour ago. I think they play potential buyers against each other to drum up a sale . Very old school tactics. Don't get me wrong communication very good. Make your mind up for yourself.
Ric in response to Total played by them
I initially enquired about the same car I made a complaint about and had to chase up. I got a response end of day so didn’t leave me much choice except wait until the next day which was disappointing considering I first called up at 2o clock that day. Never the less they got a deposit put on the same car the next day and I was notified by email the car had been sold. Week later the car was back on the market because they say the person got rejected numerous times on finance and they still have their deposit. After my bad experience detailed in my review. I emailed the boss to make him aware of a wasted journey when I put a deposit down and was misled by the advert and what was communicated to to me. He responded that he trusts his team and he is not able to accept that they were not communicated to me deliberately or as a result of dishonesty. I told him to listen to the calls in the Autotrader account. I was happy dealing with Glenn as he was prompt, helpful but with a bad experience at first with the same sales guy, he passed me back to the same one and It was a waste ever since that, plus the money spent on travel to see something that didn’t fit was primarily promised on the phone or in the advert. It was nice when I wanted my deposit there was no problem in getting it back but as I wasn’t buying what 1 sales guy was saying to change my mind, I made it clear I just wanted to get a taxi and find my way back home or to find a car. Jon pointed at the pub saying it’s a lovely place where I can get a drink and order a taxi and wait. Enough said.
Contrary to some of the reviews below, my experience with Church's could not have been any better. Fantastic selection of performance cars from Fiesta ST's to C63 AMG's. The car was absolutely spot on & as described upon collection. Dealt with Jon, Sam & Glenn and all three were professional and knowledgeable throughout, highly recommend.

Back in September I purchased a BMW z4 from Churches Performance Cars and I am more than happy with it. I have had no issues with it at all. It was immaculate when I collected it and the dealers were all very friendly and approachable. They also picked me up from he train station. I would very highly recommend this dealership to anyone. It was definitely worth the trip.

Brought my c63 today from the team at Church's Performance Cars and all I can say is I'm over the moon with it the car. Its so clean and they had put new tyres on it etc. Can't thanks them enough too.
Bought a St Focus 3 months ago from Church's Performance Cars. Seems ok but took it to Fords for a engine check as it was making a funny noise. Still there but they seem to think it's ok. Car is still within the 3 yrs warranty. When I picked it up from Church's, it hadn't Ben prepared or cleaned, still had a ticket from France in door tray. I checked the oil when I got home and there was hardly any reading on the dip stick, so it hadn't been 'inspected' by them. Also when I went to pay/collect the car, I was knocked down further on my PX.. Not good so beware of their tactic of giving 3 options. My old car was falling apart so I wasn't bothered . I'd say beware of this dealer. On reflection I should have walked away after finding this review site.

What colour was this car also did the registration happen to start CE07 by any chance?
I purchased a Honda Civic From this dealership in May. The car did not have a full service and and needed the front tyres changing but i think they have just swapped the front ones with the back? the car also had no oil in it. I don't recommend this dealership.
