I bought a car and within a week it developed a fault. I contacted Cleckheaton Motor Sales ( not to be confused with trade cars etc etc) . I was told to bring it back on Monday for assessment and repair. It then took 4 days to repair and "road test " a damaged fuel line. My reason for this review is not the quality of the car, but the quality of the after sales service. When I phoned for updates, the staff told their boss that I shouted at them.. not true... nobody could give me an update. Their mechanic was incommunicado and they refused to pass on any contact details so I could be updated. Yes, I did have the use of a loan car, but after owning the car for less than a week, is that not standard nowadays. Read the reviews and make up your own mind. I think I've escaped lightly after reading some of the other reviews, but like I said, my only grievance is the level of after sales/ customer service.

I have given a 5 star review in error. My rating would be 3 at best. After sales service is adequate, which is below the standard I expect.

I'm Mr L. There is no way I would review this dealer with 4.5 stars. 2 would be generous. I love the car, but after sales is rubbish. Like all retail outlets, you only find out if they are any good when you have a problem. Check out all the negative reviews. We are not all wrong 2 ** at best.
Bloody hell I have read reviews on this company over several sites and they all say the same thing about customers being ripped off. I saw a car from this company which I was going to buy for. £2,000 as it was slightly under market value.... I went over to book a test drive but they wouldn't allow one as they said they weren't insured which is completely contrary to what their website offers anyway after reading countless reviews ... there is no way I'm going anywhere near them now this company should be reported and closed down immediately.
I put a deposit down on a 09 mini today the car was in excellent condition from what I could see I checked, obviously I am not a mechanic and don't know what the egine etc is like inside. They were happy to let me test drive the car and answered all the questions I needed. They even through in a full tank of petrol. I was actually very pleased with the service the chap was very nice. I will write another review in a couple of months to let you know how it gets on and give a honest review.
bought a rover 75 diesel recently great car honestly described would definately buy again
I wish I'd read these reviews before I bought a car from these people. 2 days out of warranty and the gearbox breaks and was told "there's nothing they can do" went for its MOT this week and has a corroded exhaust and corroded break pipes, which shouldn't have even been driven on, and cars do not corrode to an unsafe standard within 2 months, meaning someone knew about this before they sold it. I really hope people read before they go here like I did. Staff can't be arsed at all once they have your money. Terrible customer service.
I myself have purchased a vehicle from these to which i was disgusted theyre quick enough to sell you a vehicle but after your 28 days warranty do not want to know you ive been having problems within my warranty period and my brakes stopped working as i was doing around 40mph on a dual carriage way. I will not leave any details on here further as i am following trading standards laws and advice and will take the issues to court

Your not leaving no details because you have not contacted us with in warranty and out of warranty.
Got my car and pleased overall considering the price. However, to describe it as showroom condition was very misleading and really annoying considering the distance I'd travelled. They did carry out some minor work to get it up to scratch and once this was completed I was satisfied I'd had a good deal. Take their descriptions with a pinch of salt and lower your expectations of the car before arriving.
Bought a car for our disabled daughter, July 1st. The cars just ran out of warranty , they must have known that the alternator was on the way out when they sold it to us. Also had a health check on this corsa and guess what it's not road worthy. They said that they had fixed all the faults that was found on the mot fail sheet. The front passenger side Spring coil was broken, they said it was fixed, air vent was super glued wouldn't move the abs light is now stuck on. Paid £3595 for a car that needs £2000 on repairs...not happy at all ..was went we bought and collected the Vauxhall corsa six. 1st July 2016.

I bought a car 2 months ago as my first car using pretty much all my savings apart from what i needed for insurance. the cars only come with a month warranty, which doesn't cover everything. 2 months after having the car the engine light came on. I took it for diagnostics and it needs almost a grand worth of repairs! I went to speak to them and they where very closed and unhelpful, treating me like i was dirt on their shoe. I tried to explain that consumer law should protect me and they would have none of it. I tried to say that some of the things that need fixing were in previous MOTs but not in the current one, which was a bit shady, but again, they would have none of it. I am very disappointed and would not recommend them to anyone

*Advice from a Novice buyer* I'm only a young lad and was sold a dogy in-road worthy car due to my naivety! As I hand over all my savings and walk to the car the key doesn't work. I am forced to use the spare and it would be repaid. I then get told they would call me in 2 days. No phone call came! I rung up the garage 4 days later, speaking to "Simon" who tells me it's been hear and they forgot to ring me! They expected me to travel to collect the key, no apology nothing! But it doesn't end there.... 2 weeks down the line the oil light comes on, then hides for another 2 weeks. Thinking nothing of it I left it to find 3 months down the line from a garage that the crankshaft had been "bodged" on to sell the car. The car needs a new crankshaft at £1,500!!! To be told by simon - "that its a machine pal things happen" when they sold me a car which had just been Mot before I bought it! I wouldn't recommend using this garage and they will be hearing from The Consumer Rights Act 2015 which came into force in October 2015 gives you protection when buying a used car. What I would recommend contacting citizens advise as they are very helpful.

We have spoken to you today.you have had car a long time.you say you found a fault 4 months ago and carried on using it for 4 months and damaged engine.it is bad maintenance on your part.even so I still offered to pay half the cost at our garage at trade rates.may 200 fixed.then you put on a bad review .we just Can,nt help some people.
Billy Wild in response to Billy Wild
Between 30 days and 6 months , If a fault comes to light after 30 days but before 6 months have passed then you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. It is assumed in law that the fault was present at the time of purchase unless the seller can prove otherwise. During this period, unless you have agreed otherwise, the seller (dealer) has only one opportunity to repair (or replace) the faulty vehicle after which, if they fail to repair it, you are entitled to a refund. In the event of a refund following a failed attempt at repair during the first six months the seller is permitted to make a 'reasonable' adjustment to the amount refunded to take account of the use that you have had of the vehicle since you bought it. As you can see from above I am fully entitled for my opinion! also as you can see from the number of reviews on the website I am not the only one with this problem, you false advertise your cars, you told me the car was in perfect condition \A Class\" the problem hasn't occurred from my errors I have driven under 1000 miles in 5 months I am fully entitled for an exchange full repairs or my money back. I am taking it to a small claims who believe I am in full entitlement. you offered me a free MOT and the car isn't fit for driving which is a criminal offence. I am free to air my opinion as I please."
