Called this morning enquiring about Audi A1 for sale. Was told still available so explained travelling over an hour to view with the hope to buy. Half an hour later got a call back to check which A1 I was interested in and confirmed the car. Turned up and the car was SOLD!!!!! No attempts made to call me. Absolutely wasted journey!
My partner went to look at some transit vans at Cleckheaton Motor Sales, the one he liked didn't have any diesel in and they couldn't find the keys so he couldn't drive it anyway he paid 200 deposit to go back in a couple of days they said the 200 was returnable because he hadn't test driven it,anyway before he returned to pay he was let down by a customer so didn't have the cash for the van so couldn't afford it went back for his deposit to be told some bullshit story that they had put the van through a mot so he couldn't have his deposit back so basically he's paid for the mot pft so we will be takeing it further to the ombudsman
Great cars, very clean and good prices. However, keeping log book slips until they amount to hundreds in order to bulk post is very poor. A postage stamp must be worth the sale of a £5k car?
What a huge disappointment!,..after travelling 63 miles to view vehicle, on first appearance nothing like described on advertisement from Cleckheaton Motor Sales!,...broken wash jet, body damage and scratches, when we arrived the battery was flat, air bag light was on, trim underneath hanging down, suppose to have a full 12 months mot, only 1 month in reality!..upon arriving appeared to be no real sales person,we arrived back with the vehicle after a short test drive and broke down, arrived back and after 10 minutes we simply walked off after no one appeared to be interested in what we thought! ..it’s disappointing to see this in the trade as I’ve owned and run my own garage for well over 20 years!,....Very disappointing!......

Hi. Was this the blue CRV with 90,000 miles on the clock? I went to see it and things looked off. I walked away without even test driving it. The whole outfit seemed shady.
I found Cleckheaton Motor Sales on Auto Trader, this was the worst thing I ever did. I purchased a Seat Ibiza from them. I then drove an hour back to Sheffield with the car and as soon as I got it off the motorway smoke was coming from the bonnet, I took it to a professional garage for them to look at what the problem was. It turns out they sold me a car with a blown head gasket. I had to pay to tow my car back to Cleckheaton and I managed to get my money back. This was only because I told them I was going to trading standards as Cleckheaton motors tampered with the warning lights on the car so that I wasn't alerted when my car was loosing water and my temperature gage was BOILING HOT!!!!! The car could of blown up, set on fire or even killed me on the way home. They knew the car was broken when they sold it to me. Luckily I got my money back as I had the car a day however reading other reviews some people wasn't so lucky. I lost out on money I spent taxing, insuring and towing back to the garage. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE ALL THE CARS IN THERE GARAGE RUN FOR ABOUT A MONTH UNTILL THE 28 DAY GARUNTEE RUNS OUT THEN THE BROKEN CAR IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM.

Stay away from the cowboys!! Bought my daughters first car from them and it’s a death trap! Not road worthy! I took it back and they had it repaired but it’s worse now than before! I’ve had to take it to a decent mechanic who can repair it properly..The staff at Cleckheaton motor sales are rude and shouldn’t be selling cars..Stay away the cars look nice but all a bag of spanner’s! And they did a 12 month mot but I think Micky mouse passed it.

My daughter saved up for a year to buy her first car, a Renault twingo from this company. It broke down after 12 days. So I had to transport the car from Wigan to cleckheaton at my own expense to get it fixed under warranty. The company have had the car for 12 days now. They don’t answer my phone calls (27 to be precise). They have not responded to voice messages. They have not replied to my many texts nor have they replied to emails. My daughter is broken hearted. No car. Paying a fortune for car insurance and having to pay for public transport for work. Meanwhile we have no idea of the whereabouts of the car, what the fault is or if the company are even attempting to fix it. I advise anyone to steer clear of Cleckheaton Motor Sales.
I took a mechanic down to Cleckheaton Motor Sales and checked 4 cars ,they where all good .got a corsa with full mot .nice people and clean garage.
Only reviewing Cleckheaton Motor Sales as 1 star because i cant review as 0! I bought a 2010 VW beetle from this dealership and travelled 90 miles to collect it. Once i got the vehicle down the motorway the car was hunting and i was having issues with the clutch. I had the vehicle diagnosed by a VW specialist which i paid for out of my own pocket. The dealer then advised that if i brought the car back to them they would repair the car and they had the car for 3 days and i travelled another 90 miles to collect the car to find out that the repairs had not been done and the car hadn't even moved from where it had been left! i was promised that if i took the car away and then brought it back to them, they would provide me with a courtesy car for all of the travelling that i had done to get the car repaired. i then tried to contact the dealer to arrange bringing the car back for repairs and each call and text message was ignored for hours and hours up until i threatened the dealer with trading standards and the the dealer contacted me back within 10 minutes telling me he had left his phone at home. i was then told to call back the next day to sort the insurance on a courtesy car and arrange bringing my car back for repairs. To no surprise, the dealer wasn't answering the calls from my mobile but picked up first time when calling from another number. i was then spoken over and had the phone put down on me after being told to fix the vehicle myself as they were not willing to help me. it has now been 3 and a half weeks and i have paid almost £4k for a car that was described as 'as good as the day it left the factory' and i have had no end of issues with both the car and the dealer. I would avoid this dealer like the plague. they are happy for me to drive around knowing that the vehicle has a fault with the brakes also knowing that i have a young child. Absolute con artists full of false promises and no heart whatsoever.
Bought a car from cleckheaton motors 5 years ago now back for a upgrade .fantastic place to buy a car.
