No hassle car purchasing, great prices and service very happy with our car will definitely look here again when ready to change highly recommend. Thanks Oksana
We took out 18 year old daughter who was about to take her driving test to view the large selection of small cars that they had for sale as she didn't really know what she wanted. She fell in love with a Vauxhall Adam SK66 LKF. 3 days later she passed her test! As we live in Sheffield I called and put a £200 deposit down over the phone. During the call the chap said that 1 of the electric windows was sticky so they would knock £100 off as it could take a couple of weeks to fix. 10 days later we were told the car was ready. My husband took out temporary insurance for him to drive the car home and off we set to collect it. Upon arrival we went into the office to pay the balance where we were told that there was no record of the £100 discount. We were made to feel like liars, very uncomfortable. They did honour the discount in the end. Next we were taken to another waiting room where I taxed the car for a full year £160 Whilst waiting a lad came and said the keys were in the car. We looked everywhere but couldn't find it. We went back to the office where we were told that they had made a mistake it was the wrong Adam! We couldn't believe it. He said ours was still in the garage and it would be delivered to us in Sheffield when it was ready. 5 days later it was delivered. Faulty tyre pressure light was the 1st thing to go. and within 2 weeks the petrol gauge had gone also. Having only then read the reviews we decided to cut our loses and return the car before the statutory 28 day window was up. To be fair the refund was given with no fuss. The car is now back up for sale, it obviously has many electrical faults. Absolute nightmare. What a waste of time and money. Please be sure that you know what your buying.

Stay away.. I recently had a very bad experience when we bought a vehicle with potentially dangerous faults. After running up a bill with our trusted garage, we ended up getting a full refund as the fault could not be rectified. (The vehicle also went into their recommended garage who failed to correctly rectify the fault). The warranty they sell for £300 does not cover diagnostic work so was worthless in this case. They are very unapologetic when you have a problem and couldn’t care less about customer service - I witnessed several other people returning cars with faults, this just seems to be how they operate. The car we returned was straight back up for sale and has had two further keepers in six months and is back off the road again. It is true that there is no pushy sales person but it is also true as soon as you need to complain they are very hard to get hold of. You need to be persistent and do your research, I have not heard a good thing about Cleckheaton Motor Sales since this experience. I have also seen 5 star reviews online which have been done by their own employees! If you do buy a faulty motor you have more rights that you might expect. Contact the Citizens Advice Bureau who will advise you and will report them to Trading Standards.

I bought a car at the end of August from these and it’s lasted 6 months before I’ve had to scrap it because of all the problems. Bearing in mind I drive 5 miles a day five times a week so it’s not like I’ve been doing thousands of miles a week. Waste of time using these

I was going to purchase a car from here and had put a deposit down on it. Unfortunately I initially had problems because the finance company wouldn't deal with them. I then tried to get hold of them to explain that I could not pick it up when I said that I would and to ask if they would hold on to it until Friday. I could never get through. It just went to voicemail and the mailbox was full. I didn't get a response to my email either. I think that I might just end up going elsewhere which means that I will lose my deposit. I will fight that though. They also limited the test drive as well. I was told just to take it a mile down the road. They wouldn't do it with a 12 month MOT either.

We state at the time of purchase that all deposits are nine refundable, this is also stated on the invoice that you read and signed. The whole point of a deposit is a contract to say that you are purchasing the vehicle, If you then change your decision, you have broken the contract, this comes at a cost to the buyer and not the seller.
Artur Kaminsky could not do enough to help myself and husband to buy our new car. We are both in our 70+ years old and not very up on tecno, he was very kind and help full. All was excellent.
My dad and I purchased a seat leon from this dealer and within a couple of weeks, an injector broke while on our way to our holiday. when we contacted them to ask if they would cover it under the standard warranty they supply and also the extended warranty we paid £300 for. The car now faults with the clutch so a reasonably priced car has now cost over a grand more than we paid. I would strongly recommend against buying from this company
My daughter and her boyfriend recently bought a 2016 66 plate Peugeot 208 reg BV66 RMY from these cowboys. Test drove the car and all seemed fine so deposit left and told it would have its MOT within a couple of days which it did. I don't know who does the MOTs but must be blind or bribed to be deaf and blind. Anyway picked the car up and it seemed OK but after only 8 days it went into limp mode and luckily only a short distance from home so limped it home. Discovered there was no oil in it but there was oil when we checked a few days earlier. Put some more oil in and still wouldn't run properly. The day after it ran but not brilliantly so took it to a trusted garage to get it checked out. The garage said the engine needed replacing as the 3rd cylinder was knackered along with the catalytic converter and in the space of 2 days had used a load more oil. Went back to the garage demanding a refund but was told it needed a managers permission to issue it but no manager about. They said they would ring but false promises as they never did and went 3 times to be told the same tale. It took my daughter to send a text threatening legal action for them to agree the refund. Surprise surprise the day after the car was returned its back up for sale to some other unsuspecting mug. This company should not be allowed to trade as when my daughter returned the car there were a few more angry customers demanding refunds. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Andrea in response to Avoid these cowboys
Hi, just read your review. My son brought a car there last week and after 2 days it started smoking. They told us to bring it back and they would fix it for us. It's been one week since they have the car and my son can't get a hold of the garage. I called the sale department today wanting to speak to the manager and the sales person refused to give his name and hang up. Do you happen to have the name of the manager and any tips? Thank you for any advice Andrea

Hi we gave you a refund as soon as i was requested . We have aslo recently sold this vehicle to someone else as the vehicle was perfectly fine with no issues when you brought it back to us.
Bought a car October 2023. When driving away, engine overheated and had to stop to buy coolant - completely empty. Oil light also flashing and beeping. Emailed the garage using the contact form on the website but no reply. Took the car to my local garage who identified serious issues including the engine, brakes and clutch with a possible repair bill of £1000 and advised me to return it. They had seen 3 cars from Cleckheaton motor sales that week, all with problems. Went to the garage less than a week later for a refund. Initially they were unhelpful, saying they could not authorise this, but we were determined, and then soon gave me a refund, including the money spent on the warranty, but not without telling me they could have been 'awkward' with me and with no apologies. They also informed me that the V5 had not been sent off, as they keep all paperwork for a month 'in case of problems like this' We thought we had hit on a cheap solution after our old car was written off, but wish we had saved ourselves the worry and heartache and gone to a large, trusted dealership in the first place, which is what we did the very same day as returning the car. I now feel safe and looked after, in a car that has been thoroughly serviced and which comes with a long warranty with the dealers (not some third party company)

You had issues with the vehicle that you purchased, so we give you a full refund, if we had sent the logbook to dvla as soon as you purchased it we wouldnt have been able to refund you as we wouldnt have the paperwork for the car. But most customers know this
Bought a car from here in June 2023. Had nothing but issues since!!! Engine management light came on as I was driving and the car broke down on me within the first month. The injector was broken and when AA came out to look at the car they confirmed the car had been sold to me with 3 of 4 injectors working. The car was not even road worthy and unsafe to drive! They should be ashamed to be selling people cars that are not even safe. All they care about is taking your hard earned money. Tried to call the garage and they keep hanging up on me, absolute scammers. ALL I HAVE GOT TO SAY ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! **Lesson learnt to read reviews on car company's before purchasing**
