We bought a car for our 17year old on Saturday 25/01/20 and had to take it to ourselves to get tyres fitted as they said they was too busy! We then collected the white corsa 64 plate from the tyre place and Sunday morning and began the ride home to york ... on the motorway the power went and engine light on and stopped!!!! My husband managed to drive the car back in limp mode and we asked for a refund, to which we was told they couldn’t and we would have to wait for the manager !!!!! Well that was not acceptable and the so called sales man are so so rough and not customer focused and was not bothered about our situation.... I decided to tell all the customers I could of our situation to enable them to make an informed choice before they bought and luckily we paid on our credit card and my husband has stop the Payment and Barclay card have reassured us that this will be dealt with via them now!!! Please please don’t go near them

Cleckheaton Motor Sales is the worst car dealership in the UK. Congratulations if anyone has purchased a car from them and it has lasted more than 6 months. I bought a VW Polo from these 6 months ago, now a complete write off. Ignored the initial issues the car had and repaired them at my own cost. However when a dealership sells you a car with a tampered engine that completely destroys it, that is a different story. Extremely dangerous and scary now knowing what I know about the condition the car was sold in. However that doesn’t make a difference to these guys, try to have a conversation over the phone or email to discuss a reasonable outcome but they only do customer service over text messages apparently. Safe to say the texts from them were less than caring, despite the “first class customer service” they claim they provide on their website. Don’t trust them on their sales pitches, service history or car history. You do not know if this is true. Anyone looking to buy a used car don’t go to these guys. It’s like playing Russian roulette with your safety and life.

Got a Vauxhall insignia from this company. And had nothing but problems from day 1. Drove it home oil leak, then all the coolant went im 100% sure they sold me a car with a cracked head gasket. And all the cars have 60,000 on the clock! Yeah yeah. The only thing good about this place is the valating side. Never buy a car from this place unless you want a wash. Mark york

Cleckheaton Motor Sales advertised car and I placed a deposit based on advertisement. Travelled from Dublin to find that the car was far from advertised and basically a heap of junk. Dealer refused to return deposit and I found the overall experience well below what I would expect.

The salesmen at Cleckheaton Motor Sales are SO full of their self importance it beggars belief! Tried to sell a car with outstanding finance on it, blaming the auctioneers for not sorting it out. Will not negotiate on prices. Act like spoilt school children. Cars not good value either. You can see them spray painting bumpers and bodging repairs to make the cars look better. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They worry me that much i dare not leave my name on this review!!!!!!

Appalling customer service. They don’t answer the phone and very rarely text you back. Bought a car a month ago and engine malfunction light is now on. Car barely drives . Told me to take it back myself, probably a 20 mile journey- how safe is that?? A call to trading standards is next

Bought a car just under 2 years ago from Cleckheaton Motor Sales.Had read the reviews and as there were some positive comments decided to take a chance...Now i wish i had'nt!! Bought a Vauxhall Corsa for £3000...Test drive went well..car was clean but there were a couple of small scrapes and slight damage to one of the wing mirrors so asked if there was a reduction in price ...was told quite bluntly "NO". Drove the car back home on the motorway,it was absolutly fine and at this point i was totally happy with my purchase. Fast forward 2 months...ABS light kept coming on so had it checked by my regular garage...resulting in new ABS system coming in at £500...Then it developed an oil leak which cost £75 to repair...as it was'nt just an "oil leak"....Timing chain began to cause problems another £400+ and it kept cutting out so had new starter motor fitted another £100+. It has to be the most unreliable car i have ever purchased.The staff do'nt answer the phone or reply to emails and i was'nt prepared to drive it a 60 mile round trip in its unreliable state to be told "we can't do anything." Now im having to fix all its faults before selling it on again..which is slowly creeping up towards the price i paid for it...Very disappointed!!

BOUGHT CAR FROM CLECKHEATON MOTOR SALES,PAID 4350, GOT HOME 20 MILES AND IT COMPLETELY OVERHEATED, NO WATER IN SYSTEM, AIR CON DOSNT WORK, SATNAV DOSNT WORK, TYRE SENSOR DOSNT WORK, KNOCKING UNDERNEATH, TODAY NO ELECTRICS, RAND GARAGE WERNT INTERESTED AT ALL, THEN TRIED RINGING BACK AND NO ANSWER AT ALL, BEEN TRYING ALL WEEK. THINK I WILL GO TO COURT

Called this morning enquiring about Audi A1 for sale. Was told still available so explained travelling over an hour to view with the hope to buy. Half an hour later got a call back to check which A1 I was interested in and confirmed the car. Turned up and the car was SOLD!!!!! No attempts made to call me. Absolutely wasted journey!
