Bought a car from this company. And the car is AOK, as it should be, given it’s only a year old. However, the advert said that it had a reverse camera. And it doesn’t. I didn’t actually go into reverse on my test drive, as I had no need to on the route suggested by the local salesman to the non-local buyer. I got home and re-read their advert on multiple sites and it stated: ‘JUST ARRIVED IN A VERY NICE PRIVATELY OWNED LOW MILEAGE AUTOMATIC PETROL ATECA FR A VERY RARE VEHICLE INDEED SAT NAV REVERSE CAMERA’. (This is copied and pasted, hence the shoddy punctuation. I have screenshots which I sent to them) I’ve since had one fitted and asked them if they’d do the right thing and help me out towards the cost. Instead, they hit me with their legal disclaimer. Which states: ‘Specifications The data displayed above details the usual specification of the most recent model of this vehicle. It is not the exact data for the actual vehicle being offered for sale and data for older models may vary slightly. We recommend you check the vehicle details with the seller before you buy.’ It disclaims them from nothing, because a reverse camera isn’t ‘usual specification’ on this model, even on the most recent version, yet they made a BIG point of it, in CAPS, in their adverts. Why mention a reverse camera in the advert, when it isn’t the usual spec? And more importantly, when it doesn’t even have one? Do your homework, friends. They don’t. Buyer beware.

We bought a Suzuki from them and then unfortunately our old Nissan broke down so we went straight back to them to get a Fiat. In both instances they were helpful, honest, friendly and were able to answer all our questions.
Purchased a car from CMW Car Sales in 2014. Good price ex Motability low mileage. Those are the only pluses. When collecting vehicle looked like they had changed the front tyres to ones with barely any tread. I mentioned this and they said, we can't sort now but bring back and we will. Also noticed no wheel jack or spare. We'll get you one and a tyre inflation kit. When returned discovered there was no locking wheel nut key. They grudgingly obtained one from a dealer. Tyres were done but still no jack or tyre inflation kit. Then a few weeks later car had its first wash which at the same time removed whatever they must have used to hide the multiple scratches on drivers side of car. Cheap cars yes - but there's a reason for it.

So far not impressed with reviews. Found a car I was interested in due to reviews not bothering.
Know your Consumer Rights .We viewed a Mokker at CMW Car Sales, although we gave them notice to view it, it was not ready and prepared. It was very dirty and interiior smelt of wet dog was assured by salesman would all be sorted including full check before collection. We paid extra for respray to a door and several scuffs. On collection. Door respray and scuffs were very goid but car had been damaged in garage before collection denied by CMW Cars, They did eventually offer to repair. We were also sold a supposed warranty that covered all repairs for first year " including engine, gearbox, electrics down to switches" we couldnt see copy of warranty as sent direct from warranty people, Although we were told this warranty covered absolutely every thing, And we could take it to any garage with VAT registration. The salesman quickly re traced his steps on the warranty and said it was not for 12months only for 6 months for £299 when we queired this ? he said it would cost £499 for 1 year. We were going to walk away, but he then said CMW cars would pay the rest. He reasurred us we definitely could go to any garage. We paid for car in full and drove home When he e mailed warranty, we discovered it only covered up to £500 ! not enough for £299 ! and we had to return it to CMW cars for reapairs! could not go to a local garage. We eventually sorted this out with the warranty company direct, who couldnt be more helpful. A few days later we took the car for a drive, a few miles on, the brakes started making a loud grinding booming sound, and the rear passenger window would not stay up once opened, We gingerly drove home. The next morning I retrieved my handbag from the footwell of the drivers side and to my horror discovered the foot well as far as under the seat was in 1/2 " of water ! It was not raining ! Sent e mail to Matthew a directer of CMW cars he said " Its been raining torrential rain ( the week before ) what do you expect !!! He was shouty, sarcastic, rude and not apologetic. this car had obviously not been checked before we collected it. I demanded my money back in full, he refused. Under section 2008 and section 2015 of the Consumer Act you can reject a car within 30 days of purchase, if it is faulty and not of the condition you were led to believe. With the misold mis represented warranty and all these issues , we, decided to spend a further £205 and got a RAC report that identified the brake and water problems. After several days unpleasent phone calls , and tough e mails, and advise from Sutton and Surrey Trading Standards Advice line, I stuck to my guns and got got my money back. Not before my husband who has had 2 heart attacks and 6 stents in his heart, had several severe Angina attacks. " Shyster " is the word I used for this dealer, which the English Dictionary says is a word for" Unscrupulous ". We are £300 out of pocket. Car Gurus only displayed good reviews for this dealer.
Very pleased with my car. Friendly service. After leaving the garage I had a minor issue with the total cost that I had paid and received a refund of the difference without any quibble. Would buy again from CMW Car Sales.

At the beginning CMW Car Sales seemed well organised and had a good range of cars, but once we felt something was wrong with the car we bought, they turned obstructive and patronising. Definitely would not recommend them!

Purchased a car almost 3 years ago. Unfortunately broke my wrist and wasn't able to drive it for a few months . Finally first time I drove it ( 4 miles ) it wouldn't start again new starter motor needed. In 2 1/2 years I have spent £2400 on repairs new tyres after driving it 120 miles . Came with a new mot ? Gear box clutch propshaft battery starter motor breaks tyres exhaust and more. Finally after driving for 2 1/2 years and recently with banging over the slightest bump and having 2 inspections carried out on the car I have found the car has been jiged and had over time become twisted and had bent the track rod end the car is no longer on the road I have had to purchase another car .. I can it believe what I had been driving an unsafe car.
So helpful and pleasant, took my aunt to get a new car there as I had been recommended to see them and they did everything they could to accommodate her and found her a car to suit her needs. Thankyou once again
