Absolutely disgusting company. I bought an 11 plate BMW series 1 in May 2015 and have had nothing but trouble since. They signed a form to say there were some chips in the bonnet and these would be sanded and spray before collecting my new car. These were never done, I took my car back to have these chips done a week after having my car. Left it there for ten minutes and got back to find out that they had been filled with AUDI white paint. The completely wrong colour and the sales man Calvin completely lied to my face to say a painter had been down to do them. The next problem started when my clutch started to shudder after a month of having the vehicle (only 300 miles). I took the car down, only to be told that there was nothing wrong with the clutch and told to my face it was shuddering as I was a bad driver and wasn't getting the bite right!!!!!! After over a month of going back and forth and numerous emails did they decided to do something about it. My emails were passed to IAN CARWARDINE the 'company director' - after checking up on the company I found out he is infact a CAR SALESMAN Not the director. The RAC warranty is completely useless!!!! My car was eventually taken to a dodgy garage to have a "new clutch fitted" and after 1 day of having it back the clutch shudder was back. They never have done anything else about it and I am stuck with a car where it struggles in 1st gear. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Quick enough to take my money and then didn't want to know. I have done numerous in depth company checks to find Colchester Motor Company changes its name every couple of years. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!! IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO RATING I WOULD.
