Obviously this company couldn’t care less about keeping customers which was the impression I got when I attempted to book my Mini Countryman in for it’s 2nd service and replacement of the front grill due to pheasant damage - total bill being over £300. I had bought the car from them in August 2018 and encountered a few problems in the purchase/delivery of the vehicle - a sign of things to come maybe. I had wanted to show my loyalty to a local Mini dealer and because we are now a one car household and live 17 miles from Malton I enquired about the possibility of a Courtesy car. I was horrified to be told the charge would be £20. I then asked about a collection service. Oh yes, came the reply but there’d be a charge of £20 for that. So I asked about sitting and waiting while the work was done. Oh no, came the reply. No one is allowed to sit and wait because of lockdown. I said I’d had a Courtesy car when I had brought the car in previously for a service and is was free, it was a ‘Courtesy’ car. So why are you charging now, I asked. Oh, came the reply - this has been in place since lockdown. I don’t make the rules I was told. By this time I realised that I was getting nowhere and when asked if I was going to book the car in I said I wasn’t. I also mentioned that as I was 77 and had an arthritic hip I was not in a position to walk the distance into Malton, waste a few hours and walk back so I would take the car elsewhere. This I have done and the car is being collected for it’s service and being returned to me - at half the price I might add. Will I ever return to Cooper Malton? Will I recommend Cooper Malton? No, to both questions.

Unfortunately the Mini Malton dealership gets one star because i couldnt give less.......... Thought this year couldnt get any worse but today sealed the deal for me..... One big rip off and poor excuses left me no option but to walk out, shocking display of customer care and vehicle presentation.... JCW 2019 25k vehicle and they would touch up the many stone chips with a pen also the front rim damaged..... possibly the last owner bought a Mountain bike to assist him climb kerbs..... Mini Malton AT least prep the vehicles before sticking a hefty price tag on the window... No customer wishes to see a top window price for piss poor cosmetics...

Excellent service from Cooper mini Malton.After a stone holed the radiator with loss of coolant.Breakdown recovery within the hour.New radiator fitted the following day.Car hire organised for time car was being repaired.Holly in reception organised every detail and kept me fully informed.Highly recommended.

Long story short Cooper Malton sold me a mini JCW with faulty brakes. Car was checked over prior to sale and MOTD at the same time. and 1200 miles later given a full service at cooper Malton BMW 475 miles later I took it to another garage and the brake pads were seized in front callipers and front dicscs heavily corroded. I know they felt poor as the wife has the same model. When I told Malton I was just fobbed off and ignored. Good car but a poor garage. Would buy a mini again but wouldn’t touch Malton mini with a barge pole. Waste your money on servicing here at your peril. Terrible service not even an apology. Especially as they sold me a performance car with dangerous brakes.

Awful experience. Took my Countryman in for a service at Cooper Mini in Malton. Got asked if I'd like to discuss a possible newer Countryman when picking mine up. Was told my PCP is fairly close to the negative equity so we could do a deal. Was then told a week later that a mistake had been made with the valuation of my car and I would have to put an extra £1k+ in. A "former manager" was blamed.
We visited Cooper Malton in response to an advertised used Countryman which alas was sold when we arrived. However their team, essentially Carl and Jordan attentively questioned us about our needs. We were looking to reduce from 2 cars a 10 yr old faithful workhorse Mercedes A class recently "written off" and my wife's rather frivolous 3 yr old Mini Convertible to a single car capable being a workhorse and fun. Being my wife, Mrs A had specific ideas about what she wanted in her car particularly pale leather seats and interior sun roof automatic and etc. It soon became apparent these wishes could be best fulfilled by a new built to order Mini Clubman. Their advice was that the Clubman would in-fact suit our needs more closely than the Countryman. We spent around 4 hours choosing options considering the deal and at around 6.00pm getting close to the deal when I said but I haven't driven one it was no problem and I took an impressive test drive in the new Clubman demonstrator at around 6.30 pm. Taking a test drive after dark is a good idea. I was beginning to have some empathy for these guys they worked a bit harder than most, because as I had been in my working life, they were a bit out on a limb and had to. We collected our built to order yesterday 2 days short of 4 weeks since ordering it. It seems just what we needed and is certainly well equipped and comfortable. More over as we collected our new car their staff were busy selling the one we part exchanged which they did. This made us feel they are indeed a hard working enterprising unit who look after their customers well and are not so greedy as many dealerships unfortunately are.
