AVOID AVOID AVOID… ZERO STARS IF I COULD! Viewed/picked up a green metallic Vauxhall insignia(JB67), worst thing I ever did let me tell you! Arrived at crescent cars Ltd of buntingford to a half clean car.. covered in dust and green mould, thought I’ll have a look anyway as iv just traveled 140 miles, had a look round seemed ok, then I noticed the two passenger doors were a different colour to the rest of the car, asked the sales man why they look a different colour(he didn’t like answering questions), he stated its the angle Im looking at it.. so I moved angles and it did look the same colour as the rest of the car, so I thought fair enough I’ll take his word for it as it dose change colour at different angles.. (later found out it’s a shabby respray job, not as described in advert). Started the car up and I could hear a slight knocking noise, asked what’s that noice, he answered.. it’s a 2.0lt diesel engine they all sound like that! Yet again I thought fair enough it’s a diesel they can be noisy. After half a mile test drive( as requested by the sales man) it seemed ok , so I thought! Signed on the dotted line paid the deposit, soon as I did that he didn’t want to know, he couldn’t get out the sales office quick enough, leaving me and my partner in the sales office, no hand shack nothing.. Asked him for an air pump as the tyres were very low, felt like I was asking for blood! Drove 140 miles home and the EML light comes on. Rang the dealership straight away who wanted proof of the issue(asked for a video) lol. He then said get it sorted he will pay the bill “but” I must have the cheapest option done!! 5 days off the road due to everywhere busy. That issue was sorted but then five days later.. I brake down completely with loss of all power, the bottom ends gone, he said get a recovery to the same garage, ok! Got a report done from the garage which stated the internals of the engine will need to be checked due to serous compression issues, which makes this a serious mechanical issue(not fit for purpose). At this point I’m thinking this car is not worth £10,000 it’s useless! So I did the right thing and used my legal rights (cooling off period, not fit for purpose and not as described in advert)this is called short term right to reject! Spoke to the dealership regarding these issues who commented, why did you buy the car then(with attitude)! At this point I’m thinking what have I got myself into! After specking to the finance company it was my responsibility to get the car back to the dealership, £450 later it’s back with the dealership at a cost to me as the dealership refused to help with the cost. Dealership accepted my rejection of the car🙂(bye bye👋😂), then after specking to the finance company he’s stated he’s not paying me my deposit back as the dealership had to pay £360 for warranty work( his warranty work not mine), so I lost £360 for his repair bill as well as the recovery cost, at this point iv told the finance company he can keep the money, as it’s just not worth the stress!! He won’t reply to messages unless it’s for his own benefit! Only time he was being nice, replying to messages and calling me “my friend” was when he needed the green slip on the logbook back which I didn’t have! From start to finish it was a complete waste of time, costly and very stressful… Seriously people take my advice and stay clear of this dealership he will have ya pants down!!! Ohhh one more thing.. he will ring you to ask to delete your bad review! Haha not this time! People need to know what they are dealing with.. £1000 down the hole and the dealer dose not care, only about his own money! Only good thing that come out of this was him taking the car back. Stay clear!!!

Drove all the way from Cambs for viewing. It was confirmed that the car is fully HPI cleared and will get a report and than Mot and deliver. I went home and did my own HPI check where the car had a plate number change and written off. Called to cancel the deal and get deposit back but was refused and instead was offered another car which I did not view nor test driven. Also £1000 expensive. As a first car I wanted to pay more but get a car without any issues. Therefore agreed to deliver that with new MOT and warranty. Car got delivered (driven to delivery address) at night. The next morning realised that an engine check light is on. Called and was rest assured that it will be covered in warranty. Ended up paying £180 and warranty refused to pay back. MOT certificate without advisories but the tires are almost finished with cracks on. Also no mats in the car. The dealer said these cars doesn’t come with mats. Ridiculous. Also wrong name on V5C.
8 hour round trip to go look at a red Audi a5 with the promise of the car is in great condition what a lie car full of mould inside and out rip in the seat which was not mentioned seatbelts were mouldy brake callipers were full of mould i can now understand why this car has been sat on his forecourt for 6 months. even looking at other cars the condition of them were bad 18 plate cars with black rusted disk not what you expect for and 11k car very disappointed
Steer clear of these crooks! They sold me a car that has been unsafe and broke down under weeks after having it! Since having it in March 2020 I have spent just under £1,000 on it making it safe and up to standard. Dealership refuses to take ownership of anything saying he is not a mechanic! Today I had to have a new exhaust put on the car as it had been tied up with cable wires and welding had come apart in several places, shocking! Car was delivered late, dirty and smelling of cigarettes, take your business elsewhere!
Bought a Honda Civic this December and I traveled from Malta for it! Paid him the sum he asked without begging for discount. Two hours after I left the AC stopped working and called him back.... He assured me its only because they take out the refrigerant on purpose since AC is not used in UK. Although I did not believe him I took it back as to repair and he repaired it promising that he l reimburse me if it stops again. Arrived in Malta to find out the AC stopped again and took it to the service center. They found the condenser is damaged and needs replacement. It costed me 500 Euros to repair after which I sent him the receipt and photos. He never responded even when I tried to call him on the Mobile phone. He just hung up. This is not a dealer but a fraudster and a con man! BEWARE!!!
Bought a car earlier this year from Crescent Cars, not only did the owner hide the fact it had been badly resprayed buy "washing dust off" before I arrived but when an engine management light came on shortly after I got home he assured me it was just the ad blue tank and not a problem. Well IT IS!! It's an automatic MOT fail and I'm now left with a crocked car. I am so angry...Is there no honest car dealer out there????

Crescent Cars sold my son a unsafe car! Sold a warranty to go with it, but absolutely useless, has cost hundreds to fix!! Unless you can take the car apart right there.... dont bother!!! Look good on the outside, but hidden issues!!! My suspicion is they buy from auction and just give them a clean! They also make out they are using the cars personally, but I highly doubt that too. Untrustworthy car sales!

Fuming with Crescent Cars. Car has cost me hundreds of £s to be road worthy and no help whatsoever. I could list faults but many of them. Warranty was sold but useless. No advice or interest in the problems. Go elsewhere please
