Delighted with the Macan GTS, Michael and team have been superb in selecting the right car for my needs. Servicing is well organised and very reasonable and the 2 year warranty has been used for something minor without a quibble. Extremely happy and could not recommend Cridfords cars and service more highly.

After using Porsche agencies, I was disappointed by the customer service, and decided to try Cridfords. Not a soft option as it is an hour's drive, but the Surrey hills make the journey enjoyable. Quality of work is excellent, and they undertake some challenging projects for enthusiastic customers. I would have no hesitation in recommending their in-house expertise and commitment. This visit was a special challenge as my grandson (8 years old and a car freak) wanted to come. Will and the Cridford's team could not have been more accommodating, escorting him for a guided tour of the facilities. He hasn't stopped talking about it and could be part of their long-term business plan 😊
I've purchased 2 Caymans from Cridfords and my experience has been beyond what I'd expect. The whole team are always on hand no matter what I'm asking, this could be from servicing to just popping in to view current stock. My first Cayman developed a fault and I won't go into detail but Jonathan and the team resolved the issue where most dealers would have turned their back. My second Cayman 981is a dream but as a matter for my own due- diligence I booked her in for a 4 wheel alignment a couple of months after I purchased her and even though the alignment was slightly out, the guys made the adjustments and what a difference it made which shows if you're passionate about your Porsche then it makes sense to get them checked at least yearly and Cridfords is the choice for me. Will the service manager considering I'd only had her a couple of months didn't even charge so why would I or anyone else choose another Porsche dealer. Top service with friendly surroundings.

Purchased my dream car from Cridfords in March 20 and have been more than happy with it. The whole purchase experience was very enjoyable. The car was immaculately prepared prior to delivery and ten months on has just passed it’s mot without even an advisory . I notice other reviews have complained about poor warranty and after sales but my experience has been the complete opposite. A few weeks after purchase the air conditioning was not getting cold. The problem was traced to a pinhole in one of the radiators which was replaced under warranty without question. A few weeks later the other radiator started to leak , this was also replaced under warranty again without quibble with the car being collected from my home a courtesy car left for me to use and it delivered back to me the following day. Considering the age of the car (16 yrs) at time of purchase and the fact that it was probably not one of the most expensive cars they’ve ever sold I was very impressed with this. All in all so far a happy Porsche owner.

Drive right past this place, you won’t regret it. Customer care is non existent and the owner is a proper piece of nasty work. Stay well clear.
A nice selection of cars, but very poor after-sales attitude from the owner, Jonathan Leach, and a warranty that’s not actually underwritten, meaning they’ll wriggle out of anything they can once you’ve driven away. Good luck with getting any snags fixed without recourse to consumer law. Best to thoroughly check that everything works, as if it were a private sale, and walk away unless you’re prepared to pay to fix it yourself. Customer service or retention is clearly not important to Cridfords.

Michael Watkins from Cridfords in response to Buyer Beware!
Dear Martin, We are very sorry you were unhappy with our warranty/after sales approach and for that reason offered you a full refund. You did not want the refund as you said the car was a great example. To be clear there are no mechanical/electrical faults with your car whatsoever and you have made no valid warranty claims. Unfortunately as discussed both at point of sale via our FCA sheet (which you read and signed) and via several emails after this, we do not guarantee stereos or sat navs and as such do not guarantee the Bluetooth on a 12 year old 911 will work with the latest smartphones. Although you are correct that there is an update that we can carry out for under £100 in house with our Piwis diagnostics, it is well known throughout the industry that this can fry the head unit and as a result we and several other main dealers do not carry this update out. At well over £1,000 cost to replace the unit, the risk outweighs the reward, as you were unhappy with this response we offered you the full refund for the purchase price of your car as your phone would not pair with the PCM. If it had been as simple as plugging the car in and updating it, we clearly would have done this for you, but we cannot for this reason. Your second issue is a hard one to understand but even so, we did offer to have the car back and try our best to rectify it free of charge. To be open you explained to us that the car was immaculate when you picked it up but now has scratches to the front bumper, after you washed it a few times over the last few months. The bodywork is not a warranty item, but we still offered to help rectify it free of charge if you brought the car back which you declined. Our workshop prepares our cars to an exceptional level, we do not sell cars with pre-existing faults, and do not shirk any warranty claim no matter how large the claim may be, but it does have to be a valid warranty claim, i.e. a mechanical or electrical failure not a body work issue or stereo/connectivity issue. We warrant cars over ten years old in house as it allows us to offer a higher level of cover with a purchase price claim limit, i.e. the value of the car but as stated at point of sale and signed by every customer we do not cover stereos, sat navs, wear and tear or recovery. Again we are genuinely sorry you are unhappy but I believe in offering a refund for the purchase of the car we have been more than reasonable. All the best, Michael Watkins
Martin in response to Buyer Beware!
The reply from Cridfords refers. What a load of self-serving guff. They poorly repaired some scratches before sale, and then blamed it on me. Check your intended purchase thoroughly, or just don't go there. Other Porsche specialists have a conscience, Jonathan Leach (owner) has form apparently.
Spoke at length with Jonathan regarding a car he was selling. COVID-19 had forced his doors shut and no viewings were possible under any circumstances - completely understandable and I was top of the list for viewing once re-open. He subsequently sold the car shortly after, during lockdown and via a face to face viewing - against his own and government guidelines. Worst still he lied outright and told me the car was bought over the phone. Very disappointing and dishonest individual

Martin in response to Very disappointing and dishonest owner
Totally agree re the lying. Very poor ethics at Cridfords.
As per other reviews Jonathan, the owner, cannot be trusted. Terrible experience buying a car from him in July19. He is dishonest and refuses to sort issues that he agrees to do and then wriggles with every excuse under the sun. When challenged at the showroom even his staff say he is 'old school second hand trader and tries every trick in the trade to avoid honouring agreements - they even said they did this to his own staff!!' You are warned! Do not buy from him!

My partner bought a Porsche for a good price from Crodfords. Tyres needed to be replaced fair enough and 69k miles. Went on holiday and as we’re driving couldn’t get the clutch in gear. Looks likely to have gone. Had to get towed- They offered to fix it at half price as clutch is a ‘wear item’ He’s only had the car for 6.5 weeks! Ruined bank holiday.
Martin in response to Annoyed
My experience too. Dishonest at PoS in my opinion, and prone to twisting the truth to suit them if you complain. Not what you expect when spending £35K. Go elsewhere; I shall do next time.
I had my car serviced at Cridfords and found them to be a great bunch of car enthusiasts with great knowledge of the Porsche marque. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
